Chapter 349: Wishing

Sebastian Haven was not the type of person to wish ill on anyone. Many of his associates, when he told them this, often laughed, thinking that he was joking, because Sebastian was known to be quite vindictive. But he was actually telling them the truth.

He really was not the type to wish ill on any other human being. And the reason for that was simple. If Sebastian wanted something bad to happen to you, he did not wish it upon you. He simply got up, and made the awful fate that he wanted to befall you, become a reality.

He was not above spreading rumors to ruin a reputation. Poisoning was something he did on the regular. Blackmail and assault as well as harassment were some of his favorite friends.

As a result of being such an active go out there and do it yourself person. Sebastian had always been of the mind that people who wished ill on others, but could not go through with it were lazy, spineless cowards that needed more motivation.

But now he was finally beginning to understand their point of view.

Sebastian had tried to kill his nephew and Emily Molson twice now. At first when they had been children, and now when they were adults. They had survived both attempts on their lives and Sebastian was at his wits end.

He had literally gone out, and done everything in his power to try and end them. But they kept coming back like the annoying pests that they were. So now, Sebastian, after hearing the news that they had made it. Was currently doing the very thing that he had always thought he was well above. He was wishing them ill.

The current CEO wished that Emily Molson would stop breathing through the night, and his nephew would somehow sense it and do the same. He wished that an air bubble would make it into his nephew’s bloodstream and kill him. With Emily slitting her own throat upon hearing the news. He wished a lot of bad things for them.

But no matter how much he wished for that. There was no changing the reality of the situation. And that reality was that so long as they remained breathing, Sebastian was in a world of trouble.

That was what he was thinking as he threw a glass bottle against the wall. Watching it shatter, glass going everywhere, expensive brown liquid splattering.

It was not half as satisfying as he had expected it to be. But then again, how could he be disappointed? The wall was nothing more than a giant stain now. Every single bottle of alcohol in the room had been broken there.

But hiss mood was still not improving.

He heard wimpers coming from the corner of the room, and he turned sharply. "Get out," He hissed, and the three girls cowering there instantly got up and began running. One of them even holding her heels against her chest. Running barefoot on the glass. Her feet getting cut up, and leaving a trail of blood. It was the closest that Sebastian got to a smile all evening

He had no idea why, but no matter how bad his mood. Seeing another human being in pain always helped to cheer him up some.

Maybe he should have had the girls stay and fight one another for his entertainment.

But by the time he had that thought, the girls were long gone and Sebastian was on his own, collapsing against the chair in the private room.

He stared at the alcohol soaked wall.

His cheek cradled in his palm, Sebastian thought on the mess that his life was currently becoming. frёewebnoѵēl.com

After years and years of trying he had finally become the CEO. He had made it.

It was a pity that he’d only got a short while to celebrate that accomplishment before things got out of hand. Why did the world not want to see deserving people like himself happy? What had he done out there to deserve so much trouble?

He was not a bad guy. Seriously.

He was just one of those people who was more honest about the things that he wanted, and had no trouble doing some underhanded things to get them. Was that so wrong? Sebastian did not think so, but clearly something out there in the universe did. Because it was the only way to explain why things were going so wrong for him.

For one, his nephew and Emily had been found alive.

As soon as they woke up, he knew that they would start singing. Telling everybody about how the big bad Sebastian Haven had tried to kill them, of how he had killed their fathers.

But that was not even that big of an issue.

He could have denied that accusation with everything in him.

But they had the memory card with his confession in it. As soon as that was found, then he was cooked, and as though the card were not enough. He also still had the car from twenty years ago in his possession.

He could not go out to destroy it. The bridge had too much attention on it now. He ran the risk of being found, and that would not look good. Letting out a frustrated yell, Sebastian took deep breaths to calm himself. He could not allow himself to just focus on his problems alone. He had to think of solutions as well.

With a few more deep breaths, Sebastian turned his attention on that instead of on his mountain of problems.

Yes, the car was still at the warehouse, but no one knew about the warehouse yet. With Derek and Emily still out, he could wait a bit and then go and burn it.

As for the memory card, it was a tiny little thing, easy for it to go missing. There were shady cops everywhere. Hopefully someone would be willing to make it disappear for a price. And when it came to his nephew and Emily Molson... he had already failed in trying to kill them twice, but he would try again. Third time’s a charm after all. His mind no longer feeling so cluttered. Sebastian could not help but smile. He was going to make it through this and come out as the top predator that he was.
