Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]-Chapter 198—Creation Goddess Reacts
Crack!
The ground cracked and dried up.
With a flood of black energy, a handsome young man manifested, clad in black light armor, holding a thick black leather rope in his right hand.
His black eyes were cold and cruel. He waved his hand, and the hurricane vanished. The atmosphere calmed down, though mana fog kept spreading.
"Death God," Holy Sage Thalmyr muttered.
Death God stood, glaring at the transparent Giliberu.
"What? They are not satisfied yet?" the elf gritted her teeth.
The sages glared furiously at the Death God, who walked near the transparent goblin.
The Death God raised his black rope and announced, "I, Death God, hereby declare you dead, Giliberu, as you lack a physical body."
His rope glowed with bright black energy as he released it toward the goblin.
Giliberu wasn't paying attention to him. His eyes were closed as he was still chanting in his mental plane.
"How dare you, God of Death!" the minotaur spat.
He flared with the golden energy as he raised his palm. "Holy Sage Arts: Holy Bind."
Dark golden chains manifested in the sky and rushed straight at the Death God.
"That's enough." A cold, powerful voice like rumbling thunder echoed, accompanied by a flash of white-gold lightning from the sky.
A human male outline formed from the white-gold lightning.
The God King destroyed the gold chains with a snap of his fingers.
He emitted insane pressure, pushing the sages a few feet back.
The Death God's rope bound Giliberu tightly.
"Now, let's rush to the underworld," the Death God declared, pulling the rope from the other end.
Thud! Thud!—a black, majestic bull rushed from the sky.
Within a moment, the bull arrived in front of the Death God.
"No, you don't! Holy Sage Arts: Holy Empowerment!" The sages reacted quickly.
However, before they could even engage, Giliberu's body erupted with blue energy, and the Death God's rope was flung away from him.
A bright blue energy covered the goblin's body.
Death God flew meters into the air and spat out black blood.
"Creation Goddess…." God King muttered, glaring at the blue energy.
"Creation Goddess has finally paid attention." Tengu grinned.
"She'll soon descend." Holy Sage Thalmyr smiled widely.
Other sages sighed in relaxation.
God King sighed and sensed the world.
"Just a little longer, kid." A young man in light armor held a fainted five-year-old child, who had turned blue, in his arms, as he rushed somewhere.
"Wake up…"
"Damn it… world."
"… "
The pressure from mana fog kept increasing.
"I have to take him down," God King declared. "Authority of Storm and Thunder."
He raised his palm, which glowed with white energy.
Sky raged as a hurricane manifested with thunder rumbling in it.
A thick white-gold lightning beam, five meters wide, rushed down.
"Holy Sage Arts: Mystic Shield!" all the sages muttered, raising their palms, which glowed with golden light.
The thunder stopped midway as a rectangular golden barrier formed, resisting it in the mid-air.
Witnessing the sages interfering, the God King hissed, "Seven Holy Sages, you were granted such power with the responsibility to oversee the world and the gods themselves."
Glaring at the sages, he continued, "In the past, sages have cursed and even blessed the gods who did their work properly. Now, you are interfering in my work. Can't you see the danger? Just how many people do you think have perished due to his raising faith?"
The sages paused. They fell silent; they could not answer.
"Whenever gods broke the divine order, you would rush in to correct them, but now you decided to break the law yourselves," the God King questioned, his voice shaking the world. "Protecting the world is my duty—and so is yours. Now step back. Let me do my duty, and don't cross the divine order yourselves."
With a sigh, the sages stopped channeling their faith as the barrier disappeared.
They glared at Giliberu with bitter eyes.
Yes, he did suffer and yet stood tall. He did impress them, and so they sided with him, but now the entire world was at stake.
For one being they could not sacrifice the world, and thousands had already perished.
Thus, the white-gold lightning, without barrier interference, rushed down at high speed.
With a blinding flash, the lightning struck the transparent Giliberu's body.
The lightning exerted enormous pressure, yet it did not leave even a scar on the rock he was standing on, nor the ground.
Even a small leaf floating in the air remained unharmed despite being a few inches away from the lightning.
After a few moments, the lightning disappeared.
The God King exhaled as the transparent goblin still stood there, unharmed, glowing in blue light.
He sighed and nodded.
He then raised his head, glaring at the sky, and roared, "Oh, Creation Goddess! If you want to protect him, the world is at stake. Please protect the world as well—or let me break his faith!"
The sky suddenly paused at his words. The hurricane disappeared; The Authority of Storm and Thunder disappeared.
The mana fog slowed down. A bright blue orb, as large as the sun, manifested in the sky as the mana fog dispersed.
The black void in the sky healed. A huge blue barrier manifested over the transparent goblin, covering him from all sides, even the ground.
In a wooden house, a young couple sat with dim eyes.
Their skin was pale, and their faces were thin, indicating they didn't eat anything for quite some time.
Thud!—a sound attracted their attention as they turned.
A chubby, adorable girl suddenly appeared before them in a burst of bright blue light.
"Mia?" They yelled, their eyes widened, and their mouths hung open.
Rushing into their arms, she wiped their tears and asked, "Why are you crying?"
The young couple's eyes widened, their mouths falling open.
They took her into a tight hug and cried with tears, "Creation Goddess, thank you… for returning Mia to us."
This scene kept happening across the planet.
Everyone who died due to Giliberu's faith disturbance, indirectly or directly, was brought back to life by the Goddess of Creation.
"Incredible, everyone's resurrected," the God King noticed the changes. "Creation Goddess, thank you."
Death God, who was standing nearby, raised his palm as his rope rushed into his hand.
He disappeared along with God King.
Glaring at the transparent goblin covered by the blue barrier from all sides, Holy Sage Thalmyr asked, "Oh, Creation Goddess! Is his penance not enough for you to descend?"
