Chapter 225: The Final Spot

While Luna’s words made sense, it also begged a question: Who would take the final spot for the evenly split party.

Lily, Luna, Adam, Rachel and Aria all began to silently eye each other up The quiet was heavy, each of them waiting for someone else to speak first. Glances turned sharper. No one was backing down.

Rachel finally broke the silence. "So... we all want to go, right?"

Lily gave a slight nod. "Obviously."

Adam crossed his arms. "Of course. You think I’m gonna let Leo walk off and leave my niece alone with him?"

Both Penny and Leon briefly flashed Adam a strange look but didn’t say anything for the time being.

Aria’s gaze lingered on Leo, then shifted to the others. "It makes sense for any of us to go. That’s the problem.

"You’re all acting like I’m about to explode if left alone," Leo muttered under his breath.

Penny, seated comfortably beside him, nudged his arm. "No offense, but you kind of give off that vibe."

"She’s not wrong," Rachel added, this time with a grin. "You attract trouble. It’s like a magnet thing."

Luna stepped forward slightly, voice calm and clear. "It’s not about who wants to go. It’s about who should go."

"But we all should," Lily said. Her voice was steady, but there was an edge to it as she hugged Moku a little tighter. "None of us are comfortable with just watching from the sidelines, right?"

And it’s not like our group will be weak without one us," Adam pointed out. "We each have got your own strengths. Leo’s the one with the rookies."

Rachel gave a short laugh. "I love how this isn’t weird at all. We’re actually fighting over Cutie~!"

"No it totally is" Leo said flatly.

Aria ignored the joke and kept her eyes on Luna. "This isn’t a game. Whoever goes needs to carry the difference."

They all knew it. Each one of them was trying to solve the same puzzle from a different angle. Trust, experience, instinct, even guilt—they all had their reasons. No one wanted to be the one who stayed behind.

And none of them were willing to say it out loud.

Not yet.

"Well why don’t we decide based on who goes based on the roles they could fill in combat?"

Lily suggested with a smile, though Luna could tell that her friend was scheming something.

However, before she could reject that idea, Leo chimed in and remarked

"Yeah that makes sense. Let’s do that."

"Perfect~!" Lily purred with delight before she began to speak.

"Based off what I can see from our new members, Titan can act as a tank while Empress is versatile but is better suited as a DPS. Leo too is an all rounder and Rose is a support at best.."

"Yes if you consider moral support to be support." Penny added which caused Leo to faintly smile in amusement.

Sensinh somethinh was off, Rachel narrowed her eyes and remarked

"What are you getting at Lily?"

"Well among our original group, Luna and Horo are pure DPS while you Nyx are our evasion tank."

Adam frowned as he realized what Lily was doing but couldn’t deny her logic was sound.

"So it only makes sense that a support like me goes with them~!"

Lily finished her statement with a smile, thinking she had won solely based on her own words.

"Wouldn’t it make more sense for me to go?" Aria asked, her voice quiet but firm.

" I am a pure support that provides buffs and has greater mobility so I don’t have to be protected."

That pulled everyone’s attention. Even Leo raised an eyebrow.

Lily folded her arms. "You think you’re the best option?"

"Yes," Aria replied without hesitation. "I provide buffs, I can reposition easily, and I’m better suited for unpredictable situations. This party needs someone who can adapt on the fly and support without needing support in return."

Lily’s eyes narrowed just a little. "I can support too, you know. I’ve got Moku and control over the field with my plants. That’s not nothing."

Aria nodded. "It’s not. You’re strong. But you need time and setup to reach that strength. You’re better when you can shape the battlefield, not when you’re dropped into one that’s already shifting."

Lily’s jaw tensed, but she didn’t interrupt.

Aria continued, steady and composed. "Leo’s group is untested. They’re new. Their teamwork isn’t polished. That means someone needs to be the flexible piece."

Lily began to pout as she failed to come up with valid counterarguments as Aria continued.

"Someone who can fill in the gaps, who knows how to move, observe, and reinforce without throwing the rhythm off."

She turned slightly, her eyes moving across the group.

"I’m not the strongest here. But I’m the one who can move fast, buff effectively, and respond without needing protection or setup time. If only one of us can go, it should be me."

For a moment, there was silence.

Rachel exhaled sharply, crossing her arms. "Fine. You make the most sense. Popstar takes the spot."

Adam grunted and folded his arms tighter. "As long as whoever goes is watching my niece’s back, I don’t care who it is."

Luna glanced toward Lily, clearly surprised. "You’re pushing for this pretty hard. You’re usually the lazy one."

Lily blinked and forced a smile. "Well, you know, sometimes even I want to be part of the action."

Luna raised an eyebrow. "That doesn’t sound like you."

Rachel narrowed her eyes, then closed them for a moment. When she opened them, her gaze was sharp. "No, that’s not it. You want to be in charge of the newbies."

Lily’s smile faltered, and she shifted uncomfortably under everyone’s steady stare.

Penny looked confused. "Wait, really?"

Leo gave a slight tilt of his head. "That fits."

Greg muttered, "She definitely wants to play drill sergeant."

Even Moku let out a small sigh. fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm

Lily’s cheeks flushed as she tried to recover. "I just thought someone needed to guide them, to make sure they don’t mess up. Not to lord over them."

Rachel smirked. "Sure, sure."

Everyone kept looking at her, silent and unblinking.

Lily groaned softly. "Okay, maybe a little. But it’s for their own good."

Luna shook her head, amused. "I’m honestly surprised you thought that would work."

Rachel grinned. "It would have, if our little Popstar wasn’t so clearly the better choice."

Lily slumped down and muttered, "I hate that it makes sense."

Leo clapped his hands once. "Alright, enough. Let’s move out."

Penny stretched and smiled. "Lead the way, boss."

It was time to grind
