Hidden Quest: Save the Princess Completed
Completion Grade: EX
The last of the Royal Line of Forest Elves was captured by an Army of Orcs and was set to be consumed. Even by Saving her from the Orcs, she was bound to die if she did not receive adequate healing from an Elven Healer. Due to the animosity most elves hold towards Humans due to the malice they have received, finding a Healer to treat their wounds was practically impossible if no miracles were performed.

The screen faded as quickly as it came, leaving behind a heavy silence. Penny let out a soft gasp. "Wait... Princess?"
Greg raised an eyebrow. "So we weren’t just rescuing some scout."
Leo said nothing, his eyes fixed on the patient as the healer worked with practiced hands. Her movements were calm, efficient, but there was a reverence in how she treated the wounds. She had known who the girl was from the moment she saw her.
Crystal folded her arms, brow furrowed in thought. "That explains why they came after her with so much force."
Aria stood beside Leo, wings still and voice soft. "And why they treated us like criminals."
Penny’s eyes darted toward the hut door. "Think the village will throw us a parade?"
Greg let out a soft chuckle "If it wasn’t for our Empress here, we would have never known about this quest and we would probably become mortal enemies of Elves everywhere."
Crystal gave Greg a sideways glance, her voice dry. "Glad to know my existence saved us from eternal war."
Penny smirked. "All hail the Empress."
Leo didn’t respond right away. His arms stayed crossed, his gaze fixed on the healer’s hut. The soft glow from the dragon tattoo had long since faded beneath Crystal’s sleeve, but the weight of what had just happened still pressed on his mind.
This wasn’t some random rescue. It wasn’t even just a hidden quest. It was something else. And for once, he didn’t know what came next.
"We’ll handle it," he said finally, voice even. "Whatever comes after this... we’ll manage."
Crystal tilted her head slightly. "You make that sound easy."
Leo offered a faint smile, one that didn’t quite reach his eyes. "It’s not."
Greg gave a low chuckle. "That’s how we know you’re making it up as you go."
Leo didn’t deny it. He just kept his eyes forward.
Aria hovered beside him, arms folded, her wings still. "If she really is a princess, others will come looking."
Leo nodded slowly. "Probably already are."
Penny leaned closer, her voice dropping. "Do we even know what the protocol is for... royal rescues?"
Leo shook his head. "No. But we’ll act like we do."
Before anyone could respond, the door to the healer’s hut creaked open. The elf stepped out, her expression calm, though her eyes lingered on them with quiet thoughtfulness.
"She’s stable," the healer said simply. "She’ll survive. She needs rest, nothing more."
Leo gave a small nod. "Thank you. Truly."
The healer held his gaze for a second longer, then turned back inside without another word.
Greg let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding and rolled his shoulders. "Well, that’s a relief. Was starting to think we hauled her all this way for nothing."
Crystal glanced toward the hut. "We should still be careful. If word spreads, we won’t be the only ones looking for her."
Aria’s eyes narrowed slightly. "And not everyone will be so interested in helping."
Penny placed her hands on her hips and looked around at the quiet village. "So do we stay? Or are we about to get politely kicked out?"
Leo hesitated for a moment. The party was looking to him, but the weight of leadership sat heavier than usual now. He didn’t have a plan, not really. Just instincts and the hope they were good enough.
"We stay," he said finally. "At least until she wakes up. They haven’t asked us to leave. And... they might need us."
Crystal gave a slow nod. "Alright."
Penny raised an eyebrow. "Need us for what? Protection? Negotiation? Diplomacy?"
Leo looked at her, then to the hut. "Maybe all of it. Maybe none. But if this turns into something bigger, I’d rather be close enough to do something."
Penny blinked, then clapped her hands together with sudden energy. "Wait, we got a skillbook out of that, didn’t we?"
Aria raised a brow. "You’re excited about loot after everything that just happened?"
Penny shrugged. "Royalty or not, it’s still a reward. And if it’s random, who knows what kind of treasure we just got?"
Greg stretched his arms lazily. "Only one way to find out." He pulled up his system screen with a simple gesture and tapped a glowing icon. "Opening mine now."
A shimmer of blue light sparked in front of him as a book materialized and floated down into his hands. The title glowed across the cover.
Skill: Magnetic Fist
Greg whistled low as he turned the book in his hands. "Magnetic Fist... sounds brutal."
Without wasting time, he pressed his palm against the cover. The book dissolved into white-blue sparks, flowing into his body in a flash of light.
A screen blinked into existence in front of him. With a swipe of his hand, he made it visible to the group.

Penny leaned in, wide-eyed. "You basically get anime physics."
Greg smirked and gave his knuckles a quick pop. "Can’t wait to test it out on something that’s not dying."
Crystal studied the screen with a thoughtful hum. "That pull effect could be useful if you time it right. Especially in tight spaces."
Aria gave a small nod. "Or for disrupting a caster trying to keep distance."
"Alright, alright," Penny said quickly. "My turn." She opened her inventory, tapped her reward, and caught the appearing book with a dramatic flourish. "Let’s see what Lady Luck has for me."
She activated it just as smoothly, the book vanishing into shimmering light that danced up her arm. A second later, a new screen popped up.
Skill: Dramatic Pose
"...What," Penny muttered, frowning.
Aria tilted her head. "What is it?"
Penny opened it immediately. The book vanished in a puff of sparkles, and a new screen popped up. She hesitated, then shared it with the others.
Skill Learned: Dramatic Pose
Type: Active
Cooldown: 10 minutes
Description:
Strike a dramatic pose. For 5 seconds, a spotlight appears above the user. Background music plays. You sparkle. It’s very impressive.

There was a long pause.
Greg blinked. "Is that... it?"
Penny stared at the screen, dumbfounded. "I sparkle?"
Crystal coughed into her hand. "You also get music."
Leo’s shoulders shook as he tried his very best to not laugh.
"It suits you to a tee....! HAHAHAHHAHA"
He failed and began to laugh hysterically, his laughter was infectious and everyone began to laugh, leaving Penny wanting a place to hide away and cry.
