Spending the Villain’s Money to Extend My Life-Chapter 508 - “It’s me, your mother-in-law. I want to talk to you about your wife.” (2)
Chapter 508 – “It’s me, your mother-in-law. I want to talk to you about your wife.” (2)
“I was talking to the head of Art Department the other day and asked them to use that video clip as an example… … Aye. What a shame. Xiao Chen from Art Department mentioned that the ink painting in the video looked a lot like your work.
“And, even if it wasn’t your work, it would be from a guru in ink painting like you.
“I watched it over and over again before it finally dawned on me that the boss had acquired this traveling agency a while back.”
In a very convoluted way, Plant Manager Liu finally got to his point.
“I finally realized that this was very likely the work of Boss Shishi. So, I was thinking, if you have time and feel up to it, can you supervise or Art Department so we can create a video clip on dreaming back to the Wang and Xie families for our new product?”
The Wang and the Xie families were of the noble class in the old times.
As they were going down the traditional path and launch high-end products, it would make sense for them to depict old, prominent family and their daily lives and inject those into their products.
That was Plant Manager Liu’s idea after rewatching the video clip many times.
.....“But forget I mentioned it if you don’t have time for it.”
He added considerately.
Truth was, any other female employee would be on maternity leave by this point.
It was not a reasonable request on his part.
Gu Shishi, however, was very interested.
Traditional painting had become a collectable item for the wealthy at this day and age and was far less common in an average family than, say, a piano.
To be able to blend into people’s everyday life and be needed by all professions and more individuals would surely be a breakthrough and a step forward for traditional painting.
As an artist, that would make her proud.
“Okay,” said Gu Shishi happily.
The palms on her back paused a little.
Gu Shishi turned her head and saw the disapproving look on the man next to her.
It was obvious that he felt that busy work was not advantage for her rest.
“Hmm…….how about this? Why don’t you team up with the travel agency? They are about to promote their Imperial Palace tour and do a video on a girl transmigrating back to the Qing dynasty and met a few boys there. Why don’t we have Huajian endorse this tour?”
“Oh, and have a imperial skincare product line?”
That would truly be two birds with one stone.
As soon as Gu Shishi had finished talking, Huo Sishen raised his brows.
She didn’t understand anything about businesses but some of her ideas were out of the box and very uniquely workable.
Her instinct in some areas was even stronger than some in the upper management who had been sitting in the office for many years.
And if even Huo Sishen found this idea refreshing and worth a shot, then for sure Plant Manager Liu as well.
It had never occurred to Plant Manager Liu before that skincare products could team up with travelling business. But once Gu Shishi had brought it up, he slapped his thigh and felt that that was very workable!
“I’ll reach out to them!”
One was his boss’s company and the other, her husband’s. A couple joining forces this way would also be well talked about in the circle.
Most importantly, their theme overlapped with each other this time.
And, imperial skincare products were, naturally, fancier than noble products.
“It so happened that Lao Xia had his disciples with him and had looked into a few old imperial formulas. He even spoke with a few of his classmates from the Chinese Academy of Science.”
They were on topic and not just fudging.
Plant Manager Liu thought that was a fantastic idea and hung up with Gu Shishi a little while later. He reached out to the travel agency immediately after that.
After hanging up the call, Gu Shishi couldn’t help but rubbed herself on her chin. Her eyes a little dazed. “Am I actually a genius in business who had been held back by my talent in art?”
Huo Sishen’s lips curved upward and he stroked her on her head.
“Mmhmm, smart.”
Gu Shishi broke into a smile. She pushed aside her painting paper and patted her own belly.
“Welp. So if our kid is not smart, for sure they get it from you, Big Huohuo.”
“… … … …”
