SpiderGwen: I have a system?!-Chapter 168: The Future of Mutantkind

[3rd POV]

Turns out cultivating was a lot more complicated than Gwen had initially expected. She had attempted to cultivate once she was done with her assimilation of power, only to realize that her body was...a lot different than someone like Yun Che or Yang Kai, so different in fact, that none of their cultivation methods worked for her...at all.

Meaning she would need to make her own, which would be...very easy thanks to the knowledge she held in her brain. She had thousands of meditation techniques and a few cultivation ones from the characters she had gotten so far, meaning she had a good foundation for growth. Creating the technique itself wouldn't be too difficult, as it would simply require her to create something that was specific to her unique physiology, likely something involving the absorption of the energies of the very universe itself, which would then be converted into the individual energies for each cultivation type.

Profound Energy for Yun Che, the various energies of Martial Peak, Dou Qi from Battle Through the Heavens, and Soul Force.

She suspected that these energies would also be harder to cultivate thanks to the sheer power of her soul, while also being far stronger than normal. Otherwise she'd likely just cultivate and reach the maximum level in a few days. Although she doubted her clones would work for it, so it might take longer. That would be for later, as she had more important things to do at the moment, the day after her assimilation.

Walking through the halls of the Xavier school, she soon came upon Charles's office, and opened the door. Walking in, she was greeted by Charles, Storm, and Hank.

"Gwen, why is it you called for this meeting?" Charles asked, as Gwen smiled, a portal forming at her side as they looked at it in surprise.

"I've been up to some...important things, projects that I think are finally ready to be shown off to the three of you. I said that I was going to show you something incredible, and this project is. It's the future of the mutant species, Charles. Now, follow me" Gwen said, as she motioned for them.

Glancing at one another, they all followed through the glimmering portal after her, only to reappear in a nondescript room.

"Where are we?" Hank asked, looking around, noticing the rather advanced architecture of the room. There were no windows or anything of the sort, leaving it quite bare.

"Just follow me and you'll see" Gwen said with a grin, as the door in front of her slid open, and they began to walk through the halls of the unknown building.

"When I had joined your school and began to see more of the conditions that mutant kind was forced to live in, I got an idea. An idea for a place that all mutants, from young to old, could go to, without fearing the influence of the governments of the world, without having to fear the racism of normal old humans, without having to fear for their lives, due to their potential as experiments. And so, I began to work on the largest project I have ever made to date, a project that will change mutantkind...no, the world" Gwen said, as they walked into a large open room, and she pressed a singular button, as the supposed "Walls" began to clear, showing that they were in fact, windows.

And as the other side began to show, Gwen finished.

"Welcome Charles, to Malzif, the future city of Mutantkind"

As they gazed out of the mirror, a gasp escaped each of their lips, eyes wide in genuine shock as they stared down.

"See the floating middle part? That's where I am based out of, I've dubbed it as the "Centorium" where I do all my experiments. Below that is the core of the city, where the power that protects this place is held, and where the most secure place in the entire solar system is" Gwen said, amused with their reactions as the supposed building began to move.

"I've structured the city in such a way that it can hold every mutant of not only this universe, but dozens of others. With various different environments specifically made for any mutant that might need to live in a certain climate, like the warmth of a desert or even the waters of an ocean. All has been made here, all so that they can live comfortably and happily" Gwen explained, as the ship began to move.

"H-How? How could you possibly do such a thing all by yourself! The resource requirements and manpower needed is inconceivable! It's beyond anything Earth has!" Hank asked, as the ship moved.

In response, Gwen smiled as a clone formed next to her, giving them a wink and running off.

"I currently have over 10,000 of those running around this planet, focusing on the creation of 2 other cities, specially made for two other species that I wish to recruit for this place. As for resources, that is no concern for me, I can create tens of thousands of these cities without having to worry about such a thing" Gwen said, waving it off, as the ship stopped, floating above the next place.

"This is what I really wanted to show you Charles, the place that I think you're going to be interested in" Gwen said with a smile, as the man's eyes widened, noticing a large sign in front of the school, a large X Symbol upon the front of the buildings entrance.

"Xavier's School for Mutantkind"

"G-Gwen what is this?" Xavier asked, as he stared upon the large campus that was more akin to a college in size.

"An offer, Xavier. I plan on bringing mutants to this city with or without your aid, as there are many out there that desperately need some help. Hell, I even plan on giving the old Magnet man himself the offer, as he hasn't actually killed anyone that didn't deserve it, after I researched it" Gwen said, before shaking her head and going back to the point.

"I want you to continue teaching as a Professor, Charles, but instead of just one for 200 something students, you'll be in charge of thousands, if not tens of thousands. All who desperately need to be guided and taught right and wrong, and taught how to utilize their powers" Gwen continued, as Hank gazed upon it.

"But what of-" "I have already created a newer and stronger cerebro below, with the capabilities of interstellar ranges instead of just planet wide. Something that is needed considering where we are" Gwen said, a small smirk on her face as Hank blinked several times.

"Wh-what planet are we on?" Hank asked, as Gwen grinned.

"Mars" Gwen replied, as the man looked like he was about to faint.

"But how? There is not enough oxygen or an atmosphere to support human life!"

"I terraformed the planet's upper atmosphere so it is now habitable. I've left most of its surface alone for now, but eventually Mars will turn into a paradise, even better than Earth in appearance" Gwen replied, as terraforming the planet had been easy, the atmosphere had taken a bit longer, but she had finished that pretty quickly as well.

"Tha-how is that even possible?"

"A lot of science that is far beyond what humans know. Science that will be accessible on this planet, as I have already set up a planet wide internet that houses thousands of books that I have written, explaining various mathematics and sciences that humans haven't learned yet" Gwen replied, as the man's eyes sparkled at the thought.

"What about teachers? What of defenses? And what about crime?" Storm asked, as Gwen smiled.

"For teachers and crime I have created automated androids that will patrol the streets to stop any form of crime in a non violent manner. In the case of teachers, I have created androids that are full of those thousands of books that I have written, as well as dozens of teaching methods to make them efficient at their job. As for the defenses, there are several dozen barriers surrounding the city that are impossible to see for a normal human, with the capability to withstand blasts that could atomize planets like they're nothing. I have also created orbital cannons around the planet that can shoot with the same level of power" Gwen replied, answering all of her questions with no struggle.

"I hope you understand that this is...a lot, Gwen. I will need time to think over the offer, and the implications of such a thing. As this would bring about challenges regarding their parents"

"And what if I can offer the parents a home within the cities? I have already set up jobs that they can do, from menial ones like running a local market, to working as an electrician. All being paid through "Mals" the currency that will be used in this world. I plan on eventually making this currency transferable to USD for those that want it" Gwen replied, as the man went silent once more.

"May I take some time to think this all over?" Charles asked, realizing that Gwen had thought this all through, and had likely prepared everything needed for the city to run smoothly. Even creating a currency and economy for it, so that it wouldn't all be for free.

"Of course. I hope you won't make me wait too long, Charles" Gwen said with a small smile, as she opened the portal once more, the man giving her a single nod as he rolled through, Storm and Hank following closely behind him, leaving her alone.

Only a single thought was on her mind at that moment.

'That...went surprisingly well'
