Spirit Soul-Chapter 222 Odd
When Kyle pointed out that he wanted to be in the good books of the Queen, even Sven couldn't help but smile lightly.
He had expected Kyle to use the mutated Licara flower seed for himself, in order to improve his cultivation talent and that of the two women that were by his side.
However, Sven also recalled some facts about the true extent of the young man's ability he had guessed earlier.
While they had been out hunting beasts, Kyle had been required to give them a reasonable explanation as to why he had to be near the beasts when they died.
As such, he had just given them portions of the truth, without revealing everything to the Blazing Legion unit.
Connecting these pieces of information to the things Sven had witnessed, he understood that there was more to his ability than what he was letting on.
'If the mutated Licara flower seed has no, or only little value to him, it is a smart move to gift the mutated Licara flower seed to the Queen…
She will hate to be indebted to someone else without being able to give anything in return!' ƒ𝑟𝙚e𝔀𝗲𝒃n𝒐𝘷𝗲Ɩ.c𝗼𝚖
Sven knew a few things about the Queen, including that she hated owing favors.
This meant that she would rather politely refuse any gifts if she had nothing to return.
However, refusing to accept the highly sought after and potent mutated Licara flower seed was certainly not something the Queen could do.
Not only did she have a kingdom to rule, but it was also necessary to protect it with her life if necessary.
Unable to break through the next cultivation stage, she was in a dire need of any kind of treasure that would allow her to advance.
And this treasure was exactly what Kyle was aiming to gift the Queen.
After understanding the crux of the situation, Sven and the other Soldiers couldn't help but look at the young man with conflicted expressions.
'He is making a bet on the Queen's pride, ain't he?'
Kyle was currently surrounded by Yasmine and Beatrice, who looked at him with gleaming eyes.
His head lifted, and he looked straight into the white clouds.
Nobody was able to figure out what Kyle was looking at, and it was only him who could see the dense outlines of the hues that enveloped the Quetzalcoatl.
'Other than providing blood nourishment to the mutated Licara flower, it looks like the Master of the Guild is still willing to accept a disciple… Well, either way, I'm fine as long as he doesn't think of me as a threat.
I won't be able to cope with the anger of a powerhouse that can order around and tame an existence such as the Quetzalcoatl…'
He was truly glad that the Master of the Guild didn't bother to end his life, even after he had dared to not accept his invitation to become his disciple.
This only showed that Kyle's existence was either not important enough to the Guild Master, or that there was more behind the true reasoning of the Guild Master's actions!
Kyle didn't really care about the reason that allowed him to survive his encounter with the Quetzalcoatl, who knew about his identity.
In the end what mattered was that he overcame the hurdle.
With that in mind, he averted his attention, deciding to let the Brawl become an event of the past.
In the end, the situation revolving around the mutated Licara flower seed might seem a little bit unfortunate from his point of view, but if Kyle were, to be honest, it was the exact opposite!
Without the official invitation they had received from Alice Silvermoon's master, Kyle would have been forced to exchange the mutated Licara flower seed with the exact same invitation and the permission to reside in the Lahin kingdom for some time.
But given the current circumstances, it might even be possible for him to gain the Queen's protection and support during their stay in the Lahin kingdom.
This was quite helpful, and something Kyle had not expected to encounter.
As such, he was able to stay rather calm, and look forward to meeting Selene once again.
On the other hand, Beatrice and Yasmine hadn't expected that Kyle would be able to think about turning into the Queen's benefactor.
At first glance, it sounded absurd because he planned to gift something invaluable to a stranger without actually expecting something in return.
Only from the gossip the two women heard from the Blazing Legion unit did they understand that the Queen was a prideful woman, who had been able to defeat all of her competitors in the fight for the throne, irrespective of their age, talent or gender!
Kyle couldn't know the Queen's behavior all that well to scheme and ensure that she would protect him at all costs.
Thus, the more the two women thought about it, the more reckless his action appeared to be.
But it was not like he required the mutated Licara flower seed for anything anymore to begin with.
As such, being a little bit reckless was fine.
A few minutes had passed since Kyle had left the dome, and the Cultivators within were still unconscious owing to the spores floating through the air that had knocked them out.
Some of the spores clung to the body of the unconscious, while other spores were simply infesting the air, giving it a yellowish tone.
This clearly showed the abysmally large quantity of spores he had released, causing Kyle to feel a little bit apologetic to the participants of the brawl.
After all, he had no idea if the spores would result in permanent damage to the Cultivators that had been affected by the spores.
The exact same was what most elders, warlocks, and other higher authorities of the various races were thinking about.
They were worried about the well-being of the prodigies of their younger generation.
If only one Cultivator were to wake up before everyone else, he or she would be able to initiate a mass slaughter and kill everyone easily.
This thought was unacceptable for the older generation, which lead them to order their reinforcements to enter the dome.
However, what they realized only now was that all of their units, including the reinforcement had already been sent inside the dome!
There were barely a few severely injured youngsters that were left outside and even they were hesitant to enter it again.
All of them were writhing in pain, and closer to death's doors than being able to stand up and drag their own kind outside the dome.
Because of that, everyone's gaze slowly averted toward Kyle, the cause of their trouble, and also the one who was able to help all of them.
He was the only one having no connection to any participating race in the Brawl, and it was not difficult to perceive that he was not prone to merciless slaughter.
His actions might appear to be cruel to the truly peaceful Cultivators, but given the cut-throat competition in the Brawl, Kyle's behavior and attitude were relatively kind, and to the extent that he would be considered naive!
As such, while the elders of the Kandras, Myda, and Aeroa race hesitated for a few seconds, the other elders and warlocks didn't think for too long before disappearing from their spot.
Reappearing near Kyle, more than seven elders looked at the young, masked man with bewildered expressions.
The two elders of the Aldra race appeared to be the most queasy as they knew that they had ordered assassins to kill Kyle just a few hours ago.
However, that was not something they could pay any attention to right now.
Their younger generation might needlessly die if the others were to wake up earlier than them.
Nobody knew whose metabolism and immune system were the strongest and fastest, which created the biggest issue of uncertainty.
With that in mind, even the elders of the other races decided to let go of their pride, for the sake of their younger generation, as they emerged next to the other elders.
It was not difficult to perceive the overflowing energy currents from behind him.
In fact, they were tightly enveloping him, causing goosebumps to spread all over his body as he turned around.
What he saw in front of him was a group of more than a dozen powerful beings at the Ascerta stage.
Normally, this would have startled him, but Kyle was not only dead-tired and worn-out, but he expected some higher authorities to approach him.
Even he had not expected the spores to be powerful enough to knock out everyone, and their effect to last for more than 15 minutes already.
As such, seeing the elders quarreling with each other to be the first ones to talk with him, Kyle couldn't help but smile drily.
He heard their mumbling, and figured out what they wanted, even without them being able to talk to him directly as they felt too ashamed of themselves.
They had more than enough issues to solve while facing the other powerhouses, and it almost looked like a fight was about to break out outside the dome.
Kyle figured that he would have to act, otherwise, the bigger problem was not the lengthy period he would have to stay inside the dome, but what was just about to happen.
Thus, clearing his throat, while amplifying his vocals, he gained everyone's attention before announcing in a confident voice,
"I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, elders, warlords, and the other higher authorities, but I want to say something. I hope nobody will take my straightforwardness as being rude…
Everyone wants me to save their younger generation, I guess? The reasoning doesn't matter, but you guys want me to drag all of them out of the dome, right?"
With everyone's attention on him, Kyle couldn't help but feel pressured.
He was only at the Low Vitae stage, and had killed several young prodigies of the powerhouses in front of him, but also had knocked out everyone single-handedly, causing a frustrating situation.
Fortunately, everyone seemed to have calmed down a little bit, allowing them to nod their heads in a rather unenthusiastic way.
"In that case, I have a few demands. Is that fine with everyone?" Kyle simply blurted out, not minding the death stares he received.
Instead of allowing them to bother him, he smiled lightly before raising his hands up with his palms facing outwards to signify that he meant no harm.
"Please don't misunderstand. I don't plan to exploit everyone and be hated by multiple races.
I have obtained the things I needed from the Brawl, and that's it!"
When he said this, most higher authorities of the few races that were present couldn't help but look at him in doubt.
It was, by no means, normal for someone to be generous towards others.
At least not, if one didn't have a hidden or ill intention.
Because that was usually the case, everyone looked at him with squinted eyes, vigilant about the next words, ready to twist his neck if he were to be overbearing.
However, what Kyle demanded was not even close to what anyone of them had expected.
"After the Brawl is over, I want the Nasga, Aldra, Lohars, and other Demihumans to stop this war. If that is not possible, at least, don't drag innocent people into the mess that you create. It is just a hassle, and totally unnecessary…
As for the remaining time you guys spend inside the Brawl, is it really necessary to massacre everyone? I know that all of you want to gain the most benefits, but are the few treasures really worth the death of hundreds of potential future powerhouses?
Either way, my biggest demand is that you guys won't dispatch bounty hunters to hunt me down after the Brawl is over.
I might have killed a few prodigies of your races and was a nuisance for the Brawl's entire progress, but I really have enough things to take care of, and don't need a few hunters pursuing me when I leave!"
Not even in their wildest dreams would anybody have imagined Kyle's demands to be like this.
And this was even less the case for the Quetzalcoatl, who had patiently listened to everything that happened below.
The plan of her master was about to be disrupted by the uncertain variable below, but she was unable to react.
'Just why did Master tell me to spare him?! I want to burn this Old Soul and reduce his body to ash!!'
