Spirit Soul-Chapter 242 Ancestor’s Treasury
The Queen continued to speak about the Ancestor's treasury and other things.
This included the fact that she wanted to strengthen the Lahin kingdom in various fields, such as medicine, technology, and even more so, the number of Elite fighters.
Because of that, the Ancestor's treasury was supposed to be something extremely valuable for them as the select few who would gain permission to enter it would gain various treasures.
And these treasures could be anything.
But at the same time, the Queen warned everyone of the dangers of the Ancestor's treasury because nobody would be able to protect them.
Beings at and above the Ascerta stage, and more than a century old were not able to enter the Ancestor's treasury.
This was owed to the Dimension's restrictions, providing an opportunity to everyone who met the requirements.
In Kyle's group, only Beatrice didn't meet the requirement, considering that Kyle's physical body was quite young.
Thus, she had to stay behind if the others were to be able to receive permission to enter the treasury.
But even then, it would still take three months before the gates to the Ancestor's treasury would be opened. 𝑓𝑟eℯ𝒘𝗲𝑏n𝑜𝚟𝙚𝒍.𝒄o𝐦
As such, there was more than enough time for them to grow and improve themselves.
Kyle wanted to finish a few blacksmithing courses until then, which was not all that difficult.
Most theory lessons were quite simple now after he had read various books that were related to blacksmithing.
Thus, Kyle was sure that he could pass a bunch of them already.
And this was something Kyle was required to do pretty soon because he could tell that he was slacking off in terms of procuring Soul energy for Selene's and Arashi's nourishment.
Keeping that in mind, he was ready to leave the capital for a few days in the week, just for the sake of hunting beasts.
He had dedicated the last three weeks solely to learning so he never had the time to go out hunting.
Thus, by using the remaining Soul energy, Kyle might have been able to nurture both Selene and Arashi a little bit, but the final result was certainly not pleasing.
This had been bothering him for quite some time already, which led him to change his way of learning and studying the academy's courses.
"I will finish most theory courses for blacksmithing soon. After that, I can spend three days in the middle of the week to go out hunting!"
Kyle had only one or two courses for three days a week.
Through this, he was able to spend the rest of the day cultivating, practicing martial arts, and improving his theoretical and practical knowledge about blacksmithing in the blacksmith mansion.
When the three girls heard him saying this just after the Queen finished her speech, they looked at him as if they understood what he was planning.
From their point of view, it looked like Kyle was trying to improve his strength in all perspectives to be prepared for the Ancestor's treasury hunt.
However, what Yasmine was not sure of was if they were even allowed to enter it.
The Queen might have pointed out that she had opened the Ancestor's treasury because she was grateful for the help she received from her benefactor.
But that didn't mean that she and Selene were allowed to enter the treasury as well.
"Do we have to complete the assessing exams to enter the Ancestor's treasury too?" She suddenly mumbled, knowing that this was likely to be the case.
This was not further burdensome, but it would be quite some pressure to ace the exam because they wanted to enter it with Kyle.
After all, even the graduates from the Glory Knight academy were bound to be informed about the opening of the treasury.
As long as they were not a century old, and below the Ascerta stage, the Lahin kingdom's strongest prodigies could simply visit the academy and seek permission to enter the treasury.
Yet, just when the others thought about the exams they would have to go through, a familiar voice resounded behind them.
"Well, our esteemed benefactor doesn't need to pass any kind of exam. He only needs to make a formal application.
And if we speak about his small team, I guess that the Queen will show favoritism towards the few of you because she will try to demonstrate to Kyle that she is grateful for everything he did!"
Turning around at once, their group of four saw a silver-furred Lohar approaching them with a bright smile on her face.
It was none other than Alice Silvermoon, who sized up Kyle several times, after teasing him by calling him 'esteemed benefactor.'
She found it quite funny, and the resultant expression on Kyle's and the three women's faces was quite nice as well.
"You look far more handsome than I thought! Pity, you wore a mask just to hide your face!"
Continuing to tease him, Alice's eyes gleamed faintly as she halted at a short distance of two meters from him.
She fell silent and continued to smile while waiting for a response from either of them.
"It would be great if everyone else could enter the treasury, just like that." Kyle first said before mumbling.
"But I hope the Queen's favoritism won't be obvious…it's such an inconvenience."
Though he had spoken in a barely audible whisper, Alice heard him, leading to her smile to widen even further.
Yet, instead of saying anything, she continued to listen to Kyle.
He was not yet done speaking, after all.
"Thank you for providing us with the special invitation letter to the Glory Knight academy. It would have been quite awkward for all of us to enter the kingdom with nothing but the mutated Licara flower seed as the Queen was in isolated cultivation."
Smiling at Alice, Kyle extended his heartfelt gratitude.
However, the glaring gazes he received from the three women around him caused his smile to stiffen.
He looked at them as if they were weirdos for being jealous of a small, and genuine smile.
Seeing his expression, the three couldn't help but feel a little bit odd as well, only to look at one another.
This caused them to smile lightly as each of them understood that they were afraid of another woman joining their group.
With the three of them, there were already more than enough rivals, and they didn't need more headaches by letting someone else join them.
In fact, Selene, Beatrice, and Yasmine were getting along much better.
As such, it was quite hard for them to see one another as rivals.
None of them had had many, or for that matter, any friends in the past.
Only after they got acquaintanced with Kyle was it possible for them to meet other people that were genuinely concerned about them, who wanted nothing but the best for someone else.
Getting to know each other as the first real friends that were not undead, or selfish people with ill intentions, the three girls felt that they were more like best friends than rivals for the spot to become Kyle's lover.
Becoming Kyle's lover was a whole different subject, which was hard to comprehend.
He wanted to focus on becoming stronger, in order to prevent anyone from harming him, or the people that were important to him.
Of course, it was nice to have a lover, but Kyle was of the opinion that it required good timing, and the necessary feelings to be in love with someone.
As such, Kyle subconsciously ignored all signs of interest from the girls, be it his group or those in the academy.
With that in mind, he was also not all that bothered about the way Alice was being cheeky.
It was simply something insignificant and not worth paying attention to.
And there were far more things he had to do as well, leading him to excuse himself.
"I think it's time for us to leave the academy's plaza. We will return to apply for the permission to enter the Ancestor's treasury at a later time!"
Saying so, Kyle bowed lightly before turning around once again.
Alice Silvermoon had been ready to speak with Kyle and his small group for a while.
But instead of stopping them, she let them leave.
Her eyes were fixated on Kyle as he walked away, followed by the three women that didn't want to leave his side for too long.
"Just why is he so interesting?" She mumbled, licking her lips slowly.
This was seen by other Lohars, who froze in their tracks as their gazes locked on Alice.
They felt as if they had been struck by Cupid's arrow, only for Aphrodite to do her work as well.
Starstruck, they stared at Alice who had transformed into a seductress, before forcing themselves to turn away.
Slapping their cheeks with their hands, they came back to their senses before looking down at their lower body with a frown on their face.
A quick scan of the surroundings assured the few Lohars that had been captivated by Alice's movement that nobody had seen them getting turned on.
Relieved of not being publicly embarrassed, they quickly rushed off, clearly knowing that Alice Silvermoon would appear in their dreams for the next few days, or even weeks!
Meanwhile, the group of four returned to the girls' room.
Once they were inside the room they had some time for themselves, allowing each of them to plan and strategize their next goals before they decided on what to do together.
"As I already said, going out to hunt will be best for me. I want to complete Arashi's mutation as quickly as possible. Afterward, my cultivation speed will accelerate once again.
My wind affinity seed should become stronger in return as well!!
Furthermore, Selene can gain through my nourishment as well!"
Kyle's plan was quite simple but highly efficient.
He was ready to focus on nourishing Arashi in order to allow his Spirit Soul to undergo his second mutation.
It was not his plan to evolve Arashi right now because Kyle knew that this required far too much energy.
After mutating, the Spirit Soul's racial limit would be increased, and Kyle presumed that Arashi would become an existence that could reach the Krysal stage by then.
However, in order to allow Arashi to mutate, he would require to obtain more than the Soul energy of 5000 Mid Vitae stage beasts.
Taking this into consideration, hunting for a few weeks for three days straight should be enough, which was why Kyle was so adamant in going out to hunt!
"We will finish our theory courses soon as well, and then we will join your hunts. That should be for the best, right?"
Beatrice suddenly asked, feeling like she should try to spend as much time with Kyle as possible.
After all, it was not possible for her to accompany him and the others when they would go to the Ancestor's treasury.
This bothered her, but it was not as if she could do something against it.
"That's not necessary for all of you. Yasmine and Selene will have to clear the exams to join me in the Ancestor's treasury.
But that's not the case for you. So if you feel like it, you can join me, once you finish the classes, or when you have a few days without any!"
When Yasmine and Selene heard this, they frowned deeply, only for Beatrice to smile brightly, knowing that it was extremely difficult for her to spend time with Kyle, alone.
As such, her bad mood about being left alone when all the girls except her would join him in entering the Ancestor's treasury disappeared before she nodded her head vigorously.
"Yes!"
