"We already thought that it would be necessary to knock you out!" Selene screamed as she grasped Kyle's collar. She tossed him around and acted as if Kyle was about to die. Only after a minute or two had passed did she finally let go of him.

In Selene's point of view that had been the case but it was not real. In fact, everyone saw something else happening right in front of them and only Yasmine's view had been correct.

Yasmine was the only one, who was actually able to look through the ten layers of illusions that the illusory beasts had created in unison.

Her eyes were unique and that was what saved them. The Spiral path beasts had been extremely difficult to face and without Yasmine, they would have died. At least, it was the most likely scenario which was actually quite bothersome considering that they had merely entered the forbidden forest.

Inside the forbidden forest everything was different from the outside. The first big group of beasts they faced was actually a spiral path beast that was exceptional at creating illusions.

It was unfortunate because they had been taken by surprise. Now, they could counter the illusions by staying fully focused on the surroundings and by paying attention to various factors that would tell them whether they were caught in an illusion or not.

"They were at the Acerta stage…crazy," Jaden could only say wiping the sweat from his forehead when he finished his bandages.

"At least, I can use their souls to heal everyone's wounds. These bastards got me…how embarrassing," Kyle's voice grew quieter the more time passed. It was frustrating and he sighed deeply as he recalled the fight against the illusory beasts.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about. These beasts were at the Acerta stage and they targeted Arashi and you first. Their special illusory techniques were truly unique, otherwise, they wouldn't have made you believe that you were out of your illusion when you used your Nurture ability," Yasmine was rather pragmatic in the given situation. She didn't see a problem in Kyle's mistake. After all, he was still alive, and as long as he didn't repeat his 'mistake', everything would be fine.

"We have to learn how to prevent others from influencing our minds. They dug deep in our subconscious to make us believe that we were out of the illusion while actually being caught in the deepest parts of the illusion," Beatrice said shaking her head.

She couldn't believe that some beasts caught her in their illusion. Their racial trait had enhanced the illusion but that didn't make things better for Beatrice. She was embarrassed and didn't like the fact that Yasmine solved the entire situation for all of them.

It should have been her, who rescued all of them. Kyle would be proud of her and Beatrice would be able to pounce at him without worries. At least, that was what she was imagining. In reality, this wouldn't happen but that was not of Beatrice's concern.

She just thought about the 'missed opportunity' and kept crying in her mind. Meanwhile, Kyle was trying to figure out what he could have done better to avoid getting caught in the illusion.

"My nurture ability didn't wake us up, it merely invigorated us. That means I will have to focus on the surroundings to see my opponents before they can catch me in the illusion. If I prevent their mental attacks and the illusions to enter my mind everything should be fine…" Kyle continued to speak to himself, while the others could only smile faintly.

They were not too worried about getting attacked again. Despite being at the Acerta stage, the illusory beasts were extremely weak. Their only advantage was their exceptional racial ability. However, other than that, even Low Krysal stage beasts would be able to easily kill them.

With Yasmine by their side, even thousands of illusory beasts would be of no concern. After all, her eyes could see through the illusion!

However, Kyle didn't like to rely on others. If they made a mistake or they were too weak, he would suffer as well. It was not like he didn't trust Yasmine but that was the kind of person Kyle was, overly careful in some situations, reckless in other situations, intelligent and highly strategic in the weirdest moments, and sometimes dumber than a tree.

If there were two people in their group for all kinds of situations, Kyle would feel much better. That was why he would feel more comfortable if he and Yasmine were to be able to counter the illusion of the illusory beasts.

He would be fine if Beatrice and Yasmine were the ones to counter the illusions as well. As long as there were two of them, it would be fine.

With that in mind, Kyle was finally able to avert his focus. He smiled and stored the soul energy that remained after healing everyone, who had gotten injured.

With a flick of his wrist, the dragonscale map appeared in front of him. It was updating since they had entered the forbidden forest, shrinking in size.

If the entire valley had been on the map before, only the forbidden forest in detail was currently visible. Kyle could make out many interesting facts on the dragonscale map. It was so interesting that Kyle lost himself in the dragonscale map.

"Is that still the same map I know?" Selene suddenly asked as she appeared next to Kyle. The entire map looked different than before and many new features had appeared on it.

Almost all features were hard to comprehend for Selene, with the sole exception of the extremely easy one, showing the images of certain types of beasts in areas. The map clearly showed their territory and the habitat they were most likely to spread out to hunt. ƒ𝑟𝐞𝗲𝘄𝙚𝚋𝑛o𝙫𝒆𝒍.𝒄𝘰𝓂

However, for Kyle the entire situation was a bit different. He saw many things others wouldn't be able to comprehend.

'Doesn't this belong to the oldest technology of the Old Universe? The Xemiun tetranet Version MMX?...'

All the functions of the dragonscale maps resembled the mapping features that belonged to the newest technology that had been developed in the Old Universe. Kyle had used that technique well when he was out with his students to research certain plants and the natural behavior of specific beasts when infiltrators arrived.

Because Kyle knew about the functions of the dragonscale map, he was able to configure a few things. With some simple steps he made it much easier to read and not even a minute passed before the dragonscale map seemed to have turned into a warzone of colors.

Kyle nodded in satisfaction while the women could only look at the dragonscale map in confusion. Meanwhile, Jaden's eyes widened in shock as he ripped the dragonscale out of Kyle's hand.

"Yoo, calm down," Kyle could only say but Jaden was not even listening. He stared at the map for several minutes before he looked at Kyle with squinted eyes.

Jaden sized up Kyle before he looked back at the maps. This process repeated itself several times before Jaden asked the question that was on his mind.

"Are you a genius?"
