Arashi was not even able to change his form to free himself out of the Guild Master's grasp. Kyle's entire existence was filled with terror and he instinctively used all the soul energy within his body to nourish himself to get up from the ground and charge at the Guild Master.

The Starbreaker Katana manifested in Kyle's hands, and all the souls stored inside the storage of the Starbreaker Katana were used up to utilize the Nurture ability.

Kyle's entire body was nourished to the peak as he slashed at the Guild Master's arm that was tightly holding Arashi in his hand.

"That's cute…but it won't work," The Guild Master said calmly as the Starbreaker Katana was deflected at the Guild Master's bare body.

Kyle screamed at the top of his lung, he used the entire strength within his body in the attempt to cut off the Guild Master's arm but not even a strand of his fur was cut off at the end of the day.

The Guild Master suddenly punched out with his paw, forcing Kyle to spit out blood. His sight blurred as he slumped to the ground, where he was barely able to stay conscious.

"A—...A-Arashi…." Kyle could merely voice out as he heard his Spirit Soul yelping out desperately. Arashi was using his everything to fight against the force of the Guild Master but it was impossible. The more time passed the weaker Arashi grew as the force the Guild Master applied increased.

"I didn't expect you to choose this particular race. You really like gambling, don't you? A Spirit Soul…what a rare sight. A three-tailed wind fox at that, not bad…not bad at all!" The Guild Master sized up the struggling three-tailed fox with an interested expression.

However, soon enough his focus returned to the Lost Arc. He felt that he was wasting too much time.

"Man, you really are unlucky, if not for your Soul cultivation, I would probably leave you alive. But even Soul contracts are not save with you, so that's useless as well. What a shame…truly a shame…" the Guild Master seemed to be truly disappointed but his demeanor changed quickly.

He shrugged his shoulders and a devilish smile appeared on his face as he got a grandiose idea.

"Now look how your best friend and your soul are shattered at the same time;" the Guild Master said in a low volume when he began to apply more and more force in his claws that were holding Arashi.

Kyle could clearly feel the pain Arashi was going through. He forced himself to get up despite all the pain he felt and tried to get to Arashi to help him.

However, just when he reached Arashi, the thunderous sound of breaking bones echoed through Kyle's ears. Arashi yelped out in pain one last time before he turned silent…oddly silent.

Kyle's eyes widened and a sting pierced through his entire existence as he felt that something had been taken from him, something that never ought to be separated from him. 𝘧𝑟𝘦𝒆w𝚎𝙗nov𝘦𝗹.𝐜o𝓶

His entire body felt like it was cut from the outside world, and his legs gave in as his entire strength was taken from him. Blood poured out of Kyle's nose and mouth as he was struggling to get back to Arashi.

'I'm such a fucking fool….' He could only think before his entire mind went blank as Arashi's body went limp.

"That's boring…" The Guild Master merely said as he saw that Kyle's struggle was over.

"Well, I will take my leave then," He just added, not expecting an answer before he threw Arashi's body aside like a pile of the trash before he walked off. Kyle's broken and half-dead body got up from the ground. He was shaky but Kyle was still able to move.

He tripped over his feet in the attempt to get to Arashi, to reunite with his Spirit Soul, to hold his poor little fox in his arms…

Kyle didn't even realize that something had changed around the Halls of the Gods, that the Guild Master had nearly reached the Lost Arc, or that an overly familiar woman had appeared out of nowhere, right next to the Guild Master.

"Finally, I can act," The woman of a female reached The Guild Master's ear all of a sudden, and as he turned to his right, golden eyes pierced straight through him, turning him in a stone statue.

"That's better. You are really annoying, you know that, right?... now scram, you piece of shit. I finally got permission from this fucking Universe to act…" The Immortal Witch, who had finally appeared, spoke. She took a deep breath and looked around herself, just to find a young man right in front of her.

He was kneeling in front of a three tailed fox, tears trickled down his lifeless eyes as he stared blankly at the disfigured Spirit Soul. Kyle was neither able to move, nor to breathe properly. In a moment, he lost everything he had worked for all his life.

However, all of this didn't matter because he lost the most important thing in his life…Arashi.

"Do you want to live?" Idun's voice reverberated through the entire hall but Kyle couldn't hear her. His mind was blank and so were his eyes. In seconds, his body grew

"A…Arashi…." Kyle's voice was almost inaudible. His body grew weaker by the second but the only thing he cared about was his Spirit Soul. His hand felt like it weighed several tons but Kyle forced it to move nonetheless, trying to reach the dissolving body of his Spirit Soul, Arashi…

He would die for his Spirit Soul if that was possible and the exact opposite was the case if Arashi could save Kyle. However, they were one entity, and if one of them died, the other one would have to follow into the eternal darkness as well.

Kyle was about to die but the only thing he thought about was his regret. He shouldn't have been so arrogant to think that everything would be fine as long as he had Arashi by his side.

He felt foolish, regretted what he did, and he didn't feel like he deserved to be alive.

"A…Aras—"

"I take that as a yes," The sonorous voice of the Immortal Witch resounded in the air. She smiled gently at the young man, who was struggling to reach his partner.

"Maybe you are not as bad as I thought. You deserve to stay alive, and so do your partners," Idun mumbled as her golden eyes shone brightly, absorbing the Godly energy around her. She used up every single bit of it without reserving everything for future purposes.

What she was about to do was against the laws of the Universe, but how did that matter?

She didn't belong here, either way, and breaking rules was something she was the best at.

[Use me…save him] The voice of a woman resounded in Idun's ea and she instinctively looked through the ground.

A bright smile emerged on her face when she saw the Black Dragon'S corpse but she merely shook her head.

"Little Dragon, let him use you later. I am more than enough to save him!" She said before her entire body released a terrific pressure that caused even the Statues of the Gods to tremble.

The Hall of the Gods that ought to endure the pressure of True Gods trembled. Cracks spread through the ground and along the ceiling.

"His journey is not over…it has barely begun…"
