Spirit Vessel-Chapter 1209: Golden Crow Versus Firebird
Chapter 1209: Golden Crow Versus Firebird
“This world is incredible, a blade of grass here would be a rare treasure back in West Bull. Perhaps I can find Tribulation Reincarnation here.” Feiyun said.
Reviving Nangong Hongyan required three things - blood of a grand saint, Soul Spirit Stone, and Tribulation Reincarnation.
Feiyun found the first two but the last was rather difficult. He summoned the turtle, fruit, and flood dragon from Heavenly Kingdom.
“Damn, such dense spirit energy and fire affinity, Boss, are we in a forbidden ground? Look at that vermillion grass!” The flood dragon was in awe at the scene around him.
He swallowed one blade of grass and spewed out flames continuously.
The turtle, on the other hand, remained calm despite normally loving treasures. It looked around and became alarmed: “This place... no, don’t tell me, it can’t be...”
“It is.” Feiyun nodded.
The turtle closed his eyes and fainted on the ground. The dragon rushed over and shook it repeatedly until it woke up.
“Boss Gui, Boss Feng, what are you two talking about?” The dragon asked.
“Spirit Immortal World.” Feiyun said.
“What?!” The dragon fainted on the ground as well.
The turtle stomped on it until it woke up and climbed over to grab Feiyun’s leg: “Boss, I don’t want any treasure, I just want to go back.”
“We can’t. This place was known as the immortal world during Time Immemorial, requiring the pseudo realm to reach. However, leaving involves the power of a saint, and a powerful one at that. Ascending is easy, descending is hard in this case.” Feiyun said.
“Can I go back to Heavenly Kingdom then?” The dragon asked.
“The spatial fabrics here are unstable. I can break space open easily in West Bull but not here, it was a one-way street.” Feiyun said.
“You fucked us over!” The dragon complained.
“I just wanted the turtle to come since it had come here before. Why did you tag along?” Feiyun smiled.
“Curiosity kills the flood dragon.” The dragon slapped itself twice.
The turtle kicked it and said: “Stop being so disgraceful. This might be a wasteland now but it still has many fortunes.”
“This place is known as Heaven Gate.” Feiyun said.
“That’s good, then it’s not the main continent or it would be rather frightening.” The turtle heaved a sigh of relief.
“So it’s safe here, only treasures?” The dragon became lively again.
“So ignorant. Heaven Gate is a recent term. Back in Time Immemorial, it was connected with the main continent but after the calamity, this realm broke into a thousand pieces. The largest landmass takes up eighty percent of the original, so that’s the main continent. This Heaven Gate is only a minor piece in comparison, so it’s less dangerous.” The turtle elaborated.
“That’s good, we’re safe.” The dragon ate another vermillion grass.
“I haven’t been here or the main continent, the broken piece I went to is now known as Minor Star, it looks about the same as this place.” The turtle said.
“Wait, you got cursed there back then, we’re still screwed.” The dragon became frightened.
“Hmph, we’re lucky that we’re not on the main continent because even saints can die there.” The turtle said.
“I met an eighth-level serpent a while ago, it would have killed or forced me to transform if I didn’t find this fiery mountain range.” Feiyun said.
The turtle looked around and said: “The flames are strange, a supreme expert might have cultivated here before, hence the rich alchemy materials.”
There was no end in sight to the mountain range. The deeper they delved, the stronger the flames.
Vermillion grass was useful for Feiyun’s Immortal Phoenix Physique. He released his beast souls and the golden lion led them to find more.
They were intelligent at this point and could help him with this task. One three-inch grass was equivalent to 30,000 Buddhist essences.
They harvested 100,000 blades each day and Feiyun kept on absorbing them.
‘Saint laws require comprehension but my cultivation has yet to reach the limit, I can improve my physique and beast souls far more. If I finish all 999 bones, I should be able to fight saints before reaching their realm. This is probably several times harder than finishing Myriad Beast Physique though.’
After four days, Feiyun went from 204 to 225 phoenix bones. He could be considered a mythical genius at this point.
“No more grass in the outskirts?” Feiyun frowned after receiving the report.
The golden lion said: “Yes, all harvested within a radius of six thousand miles. Should we delve deeper now?”
The flames there were blue and could kill weaker paragons. Moreover, who knows which powerful monsters waited beyond?
“So many vermillion grass outside, so there might be more precious materials beyond, we will go. Oh? Demonic energy, you lead the souls in first, I’ll be back.” Feiyun said and rushed southward.
He landed on a peak eight hundred miles away and observed a battle between a golden crow and a firebird.
“Screech!” The firebird became smaller and turned into a tall and thin beauty. She had blue hair and fair skin, wearing a flowery black top and a short blue skirt, revealing her long legs.
“Tyrant, how dare you attack me?! You’ll pay for this!” She threatened while running with blood streaming down her lips.
Prince Tyrant reverted to humanoid form, wearing golden armor and a red cloak. His weapon of choice was a sword as wide as a door: “Saintess, I know of your status among the firebirds, even higher than the princesses. It’s just that no one will know, this is Spirit Immortal World, isn’t it normal for rising stars to die here?”
He slashed forward, creating a fissure stretching for a hundred miles.
“Spirit Immortal World?” A hint of fear appeared on her beautiful face but she quickly calmed down.
She grew a pair of blue wings and became faster.
He seemed to be taking a stroll but was moving at incredible speed. He caught up and sneered: “Being close to the phoenixes is the same as antagonizing us, a crime punishable by death. But, I am merciful, if you become my concubine, I will spare you today.”
“I’m not interested in three-legged birds.” She didn’t think he would do anything given her powerful backers.
His eyes turned cold as he created numerous sword-shaped feathers, stopping her from escaping.
“Firebird Blade.” She summoned a red sword made out of bones. Mystical runes flowed on the surface.
“Saint bones.” He became serious.
“Yes, made from the claw of an ancestor, it killed a demi-saint golden crow a while back.” She smirked, looking rather arrogant.
“Hmph, ignorant fool.” Tyrant slapped the hilt of his sword, summoning saint runes and meteoric sword energies.
