Chapter 121: Chapter 121—Arena Revenge

The closer Cole got to his destination, the more the smell of blood pervaded the air.

It all felt extremely nauseating and disgusting to Linda and Bryan but not to Cole. The only thing he was feeling was nostalgia.

He was just here not too long ago, and now he was going back there with newfound life and all that.

He knew he was completely different from who he was previously, and he was thankful for that.

Finally, they arrived at the Arena. Just like Cole remembered, it was a crazy and brutal environment that showed how much the slums could be.

Unlike the way Cole previously entered, after borrowing some money from Linda, they paid for the ticket and entered the arena fully.

The trio proceeded to find somewhere to sit while Cole’s mind and eyes raced all across the Arena.

He seemed to be looking for someone.

"Found you," Cole muttered while he stood up to his feet.

"I will be back, guys; sit back and watch a show," his voice growing more distant.

Cole made sure his eyes were locked on his target as he shuffled through the roaring crowd. In Cole’s line of sight was a large, menacing man.

The same menacing man that forced him to participate in that battle that night. The closer Cole got to him, the more annoyed he got.

Though he was unwilling to accept it, he actually held a little grudge towards the man who was forced into such a gruesome battle.

"Those were actually consequences of my stupid decisions," Cole thought.

After shuffling through a hoard of people, Cole finally arrived in front of the menacing man.

Noticing someone’s presence in front of himself, the menacing man turned his attention away from the actual ring to look at Cole.

Seeing Cole’s face, he immediately raised an eyebrow as if he remembered something.

"You are still alive, kid," the menacing man said in a surprised voice.

"Of course I am alive and well, and I would like to have a battle," Cole responded.

Cole’s words immediately made the man raise his eyebrows as he wondered what he actually responded to Cole with.

"It isn’t every day you see a free fighter, so why not?" the man said.

"Sweet, then, but I need to make sure it is the same guy I fought previously," Cole said.

"You are sure you want to fight scorpio again," the man asked.

"Yes, I am. now take me to where I prepare," Cole said.

The situation had changed so much from last time. It was previously Cole being forced into a battle, but now he was the one forcing the man.

"Okay then, follow me," The man said while turning around.

From the expression on his face, it was obvious that he was extremely excited for this fight. These sorts of things usually excite people in the slums.

The man took Cole into a familiar entrance that led to the area where armors were hung all over.

"Do I really need armor?" Cole thought.

But since he didn’t want to appear overconfident and he was unwilling to annoy his opponent, he just chose a random light armor and put it on.

"I think I am ready," Cole said while looking down at himself.

He was dressed in silvery white armor that only covered specific vital points. The silver of the armor matched perfectly with his white hair.

"Get ready now, Scorpio is on the ring already," The menacing man urged.

As Cole could remember, he was supposed to pass through a passage to arrive at the ring, and that was exactly what he did.

Cole moved with a calm and steady expression as he heard the chants of the crowd grow louder and louder.

Scorpio! Scorpio! Scorpio! The crowd shouted in excitement.

"Men and Women of the slums, I bring to you a previous fighter of this arena, BRE MONT!!!!!!"

The announcer shouted as Cole slowly appeared in the ring.

Bryan and Linda looked at the ring in shock when they heard the name that was being called.

"So careless," she whispered frustratedly.

In the ring, Scorpio sized his opponent up in a bid to understand why the opponent came to challenge him again. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Ready for more kids," Scorpio taunted.

Cole just stood there staring at him, not bothering with responding to him at all.

"Fightttt!" the announcer suddenly screamed.

Employing his innate spirit abilities, Scorpio began zipping all around the ring with the dagger in hand.

This method was extremely effective against Cole the previous time since he had no way to counter it but now.

Everything just looks like child’s play to Cole. His eyes followed every Scorpio’s movement, making sure to not miss a thing.

"This sort of speed in front of Michael’s speed is absolutely laughable," Cole thought to himself.

Scorpio observed Cole’s eyes; as an experienced fighter, he quickly noticed they could track him.

"I better be careful," he thought.

Seeing Cole’s calm and collected state, Scorpio suddenly zipped to his back and prepared to attack from his blind spot.

"You can’t dodge an attack you can’t see," Scorpio thought as he rushed in.

Unbeknownst to him, Cole was more than ready for such an attack; he was in fact hoping for such so he could end the whole battle in an attack.

The instant Scorpio got close enough, Cole partially activated Kinetic Acceleration to block, and he activated it one more time to counter.

His hands fell with unimaginable speed towards Scorpio back and there was absolutely no way for Scorpio to escape.

"I’ve got you," Cole muttered as his punch landed in full force.

The impact was so resounding the arena immediately grew quiet; everyone just watched Scorpio fall to the ground unconscious.

"That was obviously expected," Linda said confidently.

"It was," Bryan responded.

After a bit of time, the crowd immediately began cheering for Cole. Completely forgetting about the unconscious Scorpio.

But Cole wasn’t actually here for actual revenge; he was just here to see and physically feel his growth.

"Sigh, we have really grown," Cole muttered as he turned to leave.
