Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 1324 - 1302: Let’s Have Another Child
Xiaotao knew that the abortion surgery of the Second Miss was inseparable from the master, and the Second Miss was probably still very angry with him, but there was no other way.
Ya Chen’s face changed slightly.
He thought that meeting her less during this period would make her feel better and help her recover quickly.
After listening to Xiaotao report her daily routine over the past few days, he did not linger and headed upstairs.
When he opened the door, his first feeling was that the room was eerily quiet, as if it wasn’t meant for a living person.
The person living here seemed dead, lifeless.
Xiaotao followed him, whispering, "She’s sitting on the window seat..."
Ya Chen walked toward the window seat.
Chu Xinyue remained unresponsive, still lost in her own world, as if she couldn’t hear the approaching footsteps.
He only stopped when he was close enough to hear her breathing: "Why do you stay inside all day and not go out?"
The familiar deep voice awakened Chu Xinyue’s will, but upon seeing who it was, she shivered, retreating to a corner of the window seat.
He felt that she was dreadfully avoiding him, raising his hand to try to pull her back, but it was in vain.
Her body shrank back more fiercely, even hitting the window with a faint "thud" sound, the sound of bone striking glass, yet she did not cry out in pain, as if she felt nothing.
Feeling a chill in his heart, he forcibly grabbed her thin arm, pulling her under his eyes, raising his hand to touch her body.
The fullness of pregnancy was gone.
Now she was almost skin and bones.
"Xiaotao!" he suddenly shouted, startling Xiaotao to rush in immediately.
"Why didn’t you tell me earlier?" he restrained the anger surging from the bottom of his heart.
Xiaotao’s eyes turned red: "The master never came back, and I was afraid the Second Miss was still mad at you...
Finally, Chu Xinyue reacted and began to struggle, and having not spoken much all these days, she opened her mouth, her voice hoarse like it shattered:
"Let me go, let... let me go."
He had no time to reprimand Xiaotao further, ushering her out of the room, his hand sliding to hold her waist and hips, lifting her from the cold window seat to the bed, and along the way, she struggled fiercely, kicking and hitting with all her limbs.
He allowed her to scratch and claw at him until he placed her on the bed, and then caught her slender wrist, soothing softly, "It’s okay, it’s over. Just sleep a little, okay?"
The tears that had become numb during these days seemed to revive, something sour trying to spill from her eyes: "Sleep? I can’t sleep. I dream of it every night... can you sleep? Oh, of course, you can, because you killed it with your own hands..."
Each word she said was trembling with hatred.
Then she stumbled down from the bed, wanting to return to the window seat.
Was she punishing herself by not sleeping or eating, for failing to protect the baby?
If she went on like this, she’d die sooner or later, blood rushed to his head as he pressed his body against hers, forbidding her from leaving the bed again, his hoarse voice whispered at her tender earlobe, "Isn’t it just a child? We’ll have another one."
He didn’t know how else to calm her, perhaps this was the simplest, most straightforward way.
On this bed, give her another baby.
Perhaps this way she could divert her attention, not grieving for the baby who never saw the world.
His large hand gently slid under her soft nightgown, with a casual pull, her nightgown slipped off like a fragile vine.
Her struggling body stopped, seemingly unable to believe, she let him move, and after the shock, she raised her hand to slap his face hard, tears streaming out: "Are you an animal? Do you not have any feelings? Any humanity?"
Did she think what she lost was just a mass of flesh?
Could it be easily replaced by the next one?
It was her first child, irreplaceable by anything else.
Even if there would be more children in the future, it would never be the one who had shared her life.
But him? He showed no remorse, as if that child meant nothing to him.
The sharp sound of a slap resounded through the room, accompanied by the woman’s sobs, Xiaotao rushed in with a pounding heart, seeing the master pressing down on the Second Miss, half of his face scarlet, and the Second Miss propping herself up, eyes full of rage.
"Second Miss—" Xiaotao exclaimed, rushing to the bed, "Master, please go... don’t upset the Second Miss..."
Ya Chen finally got off the bed, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, his tone tinged with some resentment: "If you hate me so much, live well. Only by living can you have the strength to hate me."
He turned and walked towards the door, closing the room door on his way out, taking a few steps out, only then feeling the burning pain on his face and neck, wiping it with his finger, sticky, probably scratched again.
A personal guard approached, shocked at the sight: "Your Highness—" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
He handed out a gentleman’s handkerchief, frowning slightly as he wiped the wounds on his face, walking forth, he asked, "Is it delivered back?"
The guard, understanding what he meant, immediately replied in a low voice, "Yes, it’s temporarily placed in your study."
He paused his steps, turned to head to the study.
The guard knew he wanted to check, and followed closely behind.
Reaching the study, he opened the door.
The room was dark, the small skylight letting in a faint moonlight lighting up the space.
On the broad desk, a box covered in white velvet lay, appearing like a long rectangular shape, the height of an adult’s hand.
The long box was softly illuminated by the bright moonlight, resting quietly like a baby.
He walked over following the familiar route, placing his hands gently on the box, his fingers touching it with unprecedented caution, as if the box contained a precious, diluted treasure, standing there for a long while without feeling tired, until the guard knocked on the door: "Your Majesty is asking for you downstairs."
He covered the box with the white cloth and turned to go downstairs.
In the hall, Ya Qianhuai saw him come down, his face slightly heavy: "You’re here."
Ya Chen sat down, seemingly knowing what his father was about to say, setting his cane aside, he replied, "Yes."
"Have you thought about that matter?"
Ya Chen did not hesitate: "I can’t leave for now. We’ll discuss it later."
"Two months ago, when the hospital in America sent an email, you said the same. At that time, it was understandable since Xinyue was about to undergo major surgery and you couldn’t leave. Do you have any issues now?" Ya Qianhuai was puzzled.
"She just got discharged from the hospital, her emotions are very unstable."
"You have to understand, the new technology targeting the RPE56 gene for congenital blindness in America this time is a rare opportunity for you. All these years, you’ve been searching for a way to treat your eyes, waiting for this day, haven’t you?"
