Spoiled By the Young Master After Reborn In the 80s-Chapter 783: Seven hundred and eighty-one, who are you?
Chapter 783: Seven hundred and eighty-one, who are you?
Sabo glanced at one of his subordinates, who understood the cue and pulled out a dagger, tossing it in front of Yhan Zhan.
Yhan Zhan looked at the dagger in front of him, his eyes narrowing slightly with a flash of resolute determination. He reached out to pick up the dagger from the ground and, without hesitation, pressed the tip against his own heart, looking towards Sabo, "Brother Sa... thank you for all the years of looking after me and holding me in high esteem... I can only repay your kindness in my next life..."
Having said that, his hand holding the dagger lifted slightly, then he forcefully stabbed towards his own heart.
"Clang!" A small pebble appeared abruptly, striking the dagger in Yhan Zhan’s hand.
"Clatter!" The dagger fell to the ground at the sound.
Everyone was stunned for a moment, then turned to look toward the direction from which the pebble had come, only to see a tall male figure exuding coolness and an innate aura of superiority standing there.
But for some reason, none could make out his features; his face was as if shrouded in a layer of mist, mysterious and eerie.
"Who are you!?" Sabo looked at the man before him with a sliver of fear in his heart. Having wandered the martial world for decades, what storms had he not weathered, what sorts of people had he not seen? Yet, this man in front of him incited a twinge of fear deep within him, robbing him completely of the courage to resist.
Lu Hanmo paid no attention to Sabo and solemnly said to Yhan Zhan, "Your mission is completed, come back with me."
Yhan Zhan’s face showed a look of disbelief, his eyes sparkling with excitement, "But they are still here." Over the years, he dreamed of returning home, but he knew it was a mere pipe dream.
Once all his records were destroyed, he was officially dead. From then on, he could only live in a foreign land with a fabricated identity. From then on, he was doomed to a life in the shadows, never again to see the light. His lover, his family, relegated to mere figments in his dreams.
Today, suddenly someone appeared, telling him his mission was complete—how could he not be overwhelmed? He could finally go home!
"So you really are an undercover!" Sabo’s eyes darkened as he glared at Yhan Zhan, reached into his chest, and quickly pulled out a gun to aim at Yhan Zhan, pulling the trigger.
"Bang!" The gunshot sounded.
Despair filled Yhan Zhan’s eyes. At that moment, he had no power to dodge a bullet; his addiction had long tormented him to a point of being unrecognizable as a human. It seemed he was indeed unable to return to his country, unable to see his family again.
"Ahh!" A scream erupted.
Sabo clutched at his profusely bleeding chest, his eyes widened in disbelief. What was happening? Why was he the one who got shot?
Yhan Zhan looked on in shock at everything unfolding before him. Snapping back to reality, he turned to look at Lu Hanmo. Who was this person who came to save him? How could he possess such incredible divine skills?
Several of Sabo’s subordinates realized what had happened and looked at Lu Hanmo with terrified faces, then quickly ran towards the door. The methods used by this opponent were beyond human capabilities; staying meant certain death. All they could think about now was survival; anything about their boss or loyalty had long been cast aside.
Fear filled Sabo’s eyes as he looked at Lu Hanmo, feeling as though he’d been plunged into an ice-cold cellar. He stumbled a few steps backward, "You... just let me go this once, I’ll give you anything you want, I have many gold bars, jewels, I’ll give you everything, as long as you spare me..." Confronting an entity that might not be human was a path to certain death. His only hope now was that the other party might spare his life for the sake of money.
"Hmph!" Lu Hanmo disdainfully waved his hand, and Sabo instantly turned into a cloud of blood mist, disappearing without a trace.
Yhan Zhan looked at Lu Hanmo in utter shock; apart from astonishment, he felt nothing else!
Lu Hanmo stepped forward and handed over an elixir to Yhan Zhan, "Eat it."
Yhan Zhan took the elixir and put it in his mouth. Even if it was poison that the other party was giving him now, he had no room to refuse, for the other party was too powerful! So powerful it was beyond imagination!
As soon as the elixir dissolved, a cool sensation immediately swept through Yhan Zhan’s entire body, giving him a refreshingly comfortable feeling he had never experienced before.
His hands and feet gradually regained strength, and his previously drained body was rapidly recovering. About a quarter of an hour later, Yhan Zhan felt that the strength in his body had fully returned.
"Let’s go," said Lu Hanmo indifferently, walking towards the door.
"Okay!" Yhan Zhan responded and hurried to keep up. His heart was brimming with curiosity about the identity of Lu Hanmo, but he knew that even if he asked, the other party would not tell him.
Along the way, he observed Sabo’s subordinates scurrying about like headless flies, seemingly looking for a way out.
Yhan Zhan retracted his puzzled gaze and followed Lu Hanmo outside. The events of the day had already gone beyond what he could comprehend.
Following Lu Hanmo out of the villa, Yhan Zhan stopped when he saw Lu Hanmo pause.
Next, he watched Lu Hanmo throw out a Formation Flag.
Immediately, his eyes widened in shock again as he saw the villa, like a structure made of paper, collapse with a roar, leaving behind only a pile of rubble, the former splendor gone.
Yhan Zhan swallowed hard and pinched his face. Could this not be a hallucination caused by his drug cravings? Why did everything seem so unreal?
At that moment, he suddenly felt his eyelids grow heavy, succumbing to an overwhelming desire to sleep.
Yhan Zhan shook his head vigorously, trying to shake off the drowsiness, but his eyelids grew heavier and heavier until he could no longer resist the sleepiness, slowly closing his eyes and quickly falling into darkness.
A breeze passed by, carrying a slight chill with it.
Yhan Zhan felt cold and opened his eyes; he looked around only to find himself in a small thatched hut, "Where is this? How did I end up here?" He thought hard, but aside from some memories of being locked up by Sabo, he could recall nothing else.
"Thud!" The sound of something hitting the ground interrupted Yhan Zhan’s thoughts.
He looked down and saw a set of documents on the ground.
With a puzzled expression, Yhan Zhan picked up the documents and began to read, his surprise growing with each page. The documents contained the detailed transactions between Sabo and others. With these documents, it meant his mission was complete. He could finally return to Yan Country! He could head back to the Guard with his task fulfilled! He could finally be reunited with his wife and child!
