The notification screen flashed before his eyes without hindering his vision.

At the same time, Desther felt himself growing stronger once more.

The enhancement this time involved another aspect.

If the previous enhancement increased his carrying capacity, burst strength, and attack power, then the current enhancement increased his bodily function. From a sturdier physique and increased stamina and health recovery all the way to an increase in defensive strength.

Mainly, he felt himself invigorated, fatigue slowly receding. He also felt that with his current Vitality attribute, it would only take a day or two to completely heal from the injuries he sustained from enduring the Tier 1 Warrior’s attacks.

Aside from that, he could also vaguely feel that his body had grown more resilient.

If he took the same full-powered punch he received from the man earlier, it was highly likely that he would not receive as much damage.

As he felt the changes in his body brought by the additional attributes, Desther did not forget to pull the revolver’s trigger as well.

The school’s information did not include this monster having an invisible skill, so he must not let it out of his sight.

BANG!

Unfortunately, he missed the mark this time around.

The lizard-like creature appeared bulky, but it moved like a snake. Slithering out, Desther completely missed the target as it slid toward him with intense speed.

’Fuck!’

Desther cursed his aim once more.

He was successful in taking the monster’s ire.

Now, it eyed him like a predator eyeing its prey, and it was hellbent on finishing his life.

Unlike the Tier 1 Warrior earlier, Desther knew nothing of this creature’s abilities and skills. The one shown earlier was already troublesome enough; how much more if it has other skills at its disposal?

In this time, Desther did not dare to be careless and remain on the spot.

Even though his Vitality would surely be higher than the creature’s right now due to the skill stealing half of it and with his own Vitality attributes, he knew that its other attributes were formidable as well, considering that it was able to move and evade the revolver’s second bullet.

As for the first bullet that struck its shoulder, Desther realized that it was bleeding profusely right now.

He guessed that it was probably due to its Vitality attribute decreasing by half. The lizard-like creature, though, seemed unaware of it and continued to advance toward Desther with the same ferocity.

As he retreated, Desther did not forget to gather information regarding the enemy and the surroundings.

However, pressed for time, there was only so much that he could do and observe.

In no time, and as expected, his speed was nowhere near as fast as that of the creature.

Being prepared, Desther did not panic and waited for its eventual arrival.

From the start, he did not think it would be easy to defeat a creature considered a dungeon boss.

His main concern has always been the dungeon core.

If he could just break the dungeon core, even without defeating the dungeon boss, everything would be over.

Of course, this was the original plan.

Now that his attributes had been enhanced, he knew that he had a fair shot of going against the boss creature.

Especially since his Vitality attribute had increased as well, allowing him to take some slight risk.

The lizard-like creature, upon arriving in front of him, immediately raised its arms and made a swiping motion toward Desther.

Its glistening claws threatened to tear him apart.

Knowing that it was quite dangerous, Desther preemptively twisted his body to the side, dodging the claw completely.

As its claw went past his vision, Desther did not waste the opportunity and delivered a strike toward its undefended body.

Boom!

His fist connected, and Desther felt huge resistance on his fist. He felt the hardness of the creature’s skin, akin to an armor of steel.

At the same time, he also realized that in terms of strength, his current strength might be much higher compared to the lizard-like creature.

’A Dungeon Boss with Vitality and Agility attributes as its core attributes?’ He concluded almost immediately.

The dungeon boss squealed upon receiving Desther’s punch.

Since the Vitality attribute also affects defense and physique, it was definitely taking more damage than usual after Desther took half of it.

The creature was quick enough to recover. It twisted its body and opened its mouth, trying to bite off a chunk of his arm.

Dether’s pupil contracted.

With such a close distance and with the creature’s agility, there was no way Desther could evade it in time. He was able to evade the earlier strike due to his preemptive preparation, but now, there was no time to prepare at all.

Fortunately, this was all a calculated risk.

If his Vitality attribute did not increase, though, he would not even allow the creature to come close this easily.

Gritting his teeth, Desther braced for the creature’s bite.

In the end, its ferocious teeth sunk into his right forearm, and pain assaulted his mind.

It was not something he could not handle, though. He had experienced a more severe pain than this before.

At the same time, he vaguely felt that the creature was not able to damage his arm that badly.

The increased Vitality attribute indeed did wonders, allowing him to have an enhanced physique and enhanced defense against normal attacks.

While the creature was relishing its successful bite, it did not realize that Desther had already aimed the revolver’s muzzle toward its huge eyes.

BANG!

BANG!

Two consecutive gunshots resounded. Blood and goo splattered around as the creature let go of his arm while letting out a blood-curdling wail.

Desther did not waste the opportunity.

Using his right arm, he gripped the creature’s snout and yanked its head a little closer. With a determined gaze, he aimed the revolver’s muzzle toward the dungeon crystal on its head.

At point-blank range, Desther pulled the trigger.

BANG!
