Chapter 50: Selling The Hell Cat Spoils

The moment he heard the question, the old man did not hesitate to nod his head in confirmation.

Awakened Professionals, especially those with a lot of strength, usually have some strange temper. He did not want to get on this professional’s bad side just because he responded a little late.

"Check all of these then and give me an offer for them," Desther stated directly.

He was not the type to beat around the bush by causing endless conversation due to haggling.

The old man nodded his head and immediately opened the bag that Desther was using after he put on some gloves. He then poured them out in the open as his eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the many materials present inside the bag.

The old man became busy as Desther roamed around the shop and saw all the items on display.

Aside from buying monster parts, this shop’s business also focused on reselling.

In the display cabinets he saw, Desther saw numerous products that could be sold for.

They were each encased in different types of storage. Some were more secure than the others, while some were only stored inside a bottle.

As he roamed the shop, Desther even saw some goblin ears inside a bottle. If one did not look closely enough, they might even mistake it for pickled cucumber before the apocalypse descended.

The shop also sells some equipment usable by Professional Awakeners. Weapons and armor were available and on display.

Although their quality was not great, for a small shop like this, it was indeed incredible.

Aside from getting storage equipment, Desther thought he would need to buy his own set of armor and weapons too.

Sooner or later, his ordinary clothes would not suffice either. In each battle, ordinary garments would get torn up, and it would be quite embarrassing if a situation occurred where he would fight naked due to a maldrob malfunction.

This was the reason why the Lifestyle Professional scene was thriving.

Everyone needs this kind of necessity that most of the time, only Lifestyle Professionals could make.

It’s just that the barrier of entry for them was very high, and they would need to dedicate countless hours to master a particular craft.

In fact, if Desther had any other talent, he would have considered becoming one.

Unfortunately, heaven does not favor the wicked.

As he was looking, the old man, owner of the shop, coughed to gather his attention.

"I’m done calculating all of them."

"I can see that these Hell Cat materials were recently acquired. Although it was harvested by an amature and some parts were visibly damaged, they could still be used without a problem."

"For all of these, how about 115 Awakened Credits?"

"Alright, deal!"

He agreed without hesitation.

To be honest, 115 Awakened Credits was already a good deal for him.

He did not bother to haggle as he knew that the old man was doing business to keep up with life.

There was no need for him to diminish the small shop’s profit because of greed.

The old man took a sheet of paper and filled it up with some information.

For transactions that involve anonymity, transacting online through GAB would be too conspicuous.

Hence, some use this paper that looks like a coupon for others to use.

These papers do not have monetary value themselves. However, they include certain information that allows the owner to withdraw or transfer some Awakened Credits just for transaction purposes.

Aside from this method, others also create fake bank accounts and do their transactions there.

Taking the paper, Desther saw the clear number 115 written on the paper as well as the barcode right beside it along with the old man’s signature.

Nodding his head, Desther looked at the old man and stated, "Pleasure doing business with you. I’ll be back if I ever get some loot again."

"It’s my pleasure, sir," the old man answered politely with a smile. Hearing Desther’s words made him happy.

A customer promising to return was indeed a satisfying moment for a business owner.

Whether they would truly return or not does not matter. The promise was enough for them to know that they had done a great job in their business.

"By the way, can you look out for some storage equipment? I’d like to get one. The bigger the space inside, the better."

The old man nodded his head and replied, "Alright. I will keep an eye on them. Although they are rare, they are not exactly extinct either. Try to come back after two days. I should already have the space bag ready by then."

Hearing that, Desther nodded his head and left the shop in satisfaction.

With an additional 115 Awakened Credits to his wealth, Desther was definitely not as worried as earlier.

When he got out of the shop, it was already late and the sky was already dark.

His stomach grumbled as he felt hunger wash over his mind.

Since he got some money earlier, Desther decided to treat himself to a hefty meal.

Using a fake bank account, Desther scanned the coupon provided by the old man, and then an additional 115 Awakened Credits were added to his fake account.

Some time later, Desther returned to his room without any situation occurring.

After changing his attire, Desther went out and searched for a restaurant to treat himself.

The problem with having a lot of ideal restaurants near your location would be the dilemma in choosing which restaurant to go to.

Experiencing such a dilemma, Desther decided to play roulette and randomly assigned numbers to the restaurants nearby.

This was his old way of doing things if he ever got undecided on something.

Just let it play by luck or according to fate.

The roulette turned, and its hand finally stopped at the number 6.

"I guess I’ll go with chicken tonight, huh.’ Desther thought to himself as he saw the restaurant assigned to that number.

The restaurant was just a few minutes walk away.

It did not take long for Desther to arrive in front of the restaurant.

When he entered, a familiar waiter smiled at him and gave him a warm greeting.

"Looking good as always today, Desther. Do you want the usual?"
