SSS-Class Overlord: My Harem Rules the Realms (18+)-Chapter 81: Find Me a Good Skill, System.
Chapter 81: Find Me a Good Skill, System.
The vampire’s red eyes gleamed as she let out a low, sultry chuckle. "Enough foreplay, little mortals. Let’s dance."
She vanished in a blur, faster than a blink.
Ethan barely managed to raise Warlord’s Fang, steel screaming against her claws in a shower
of sparks. The impact slammed into him like a battering ram, knocking him backward.
Dust puffed up under his boots as he skidded across the marble floor.
Reyna roared and lunged in from the side. "Let’s see if yer guts are as red as yer dress, don’t
ya?!"
She swung her longsword in a vicious arc, but the vampire twisted aside with an eerie
elegance, dodging the blade by the width of a hair.
"Pretty... but slow."
The vampire’s hand shot out and snatched Reyna by the throat, her nails digging into the
barbarian’s flesh. With a savage knee, she slammed into Reyna’s stomach.
THUD.
"Guh—!" Reyna choked, her eyes bulging. "B-bloody bitch...!"
The vampire flung her aside like a rag doll. Reyna crashed into a half-shattered column, leaving
cracks spiderwebbing through the stone.
The vampire turned her eyes on Ethan, licking blood off her claws. "You’re a little more fun. I
hope you scream for me."
Before Ethan could retort, Daniel roared from behind. He charged in with the battered axe he’d
scavenged. "Let her go, monster!"
The vampire spun, catching Daniel’s wrist mid-swing. Her fingers squeezed, splintering the
wooden haft of his axe into shards.
"Pathetic," she sneered, leaning in close. "You dare bring this toy into my domain?"
Daniel gritted his teeth and a sudden blue aura flared around his forearms. He roared and
braced just in time as the vampire drove a boot into his chest. He slid backward, boots carving
gouges in the dust, but kept his footing.
"Not... so easy... bitch," he spat, shaking.
Ethan’s eyes widened even as he warded off another slash from her claws. "Daniel! Since when
do you have aura?"
Daniel wiped a trickle of blood from his chin and gave a shaky grin. "Got it... while saving those
kids before. Let’s focus or we’re dead!"
Ethan bared his teeth in a fierce grin. "That’s the spirit. Reyna! Circle left!"
Reyna staggered to her feet, panting. "Aye, boss... gonna tear this leech a new one, don’t ya!"
The vampire smiled, eyes glowing like twin embers. "So brave. It’ll make your deaths all the
sweeter."
She lunged again. Ethan ducked low, pivoting to the side, and unleashed Abyss Rend. His
blade screamed through the air, sending out a scything wave of black sword aura that crackled
like lightning.
The vampire crossed her arms, bracing herself as the wave slammed into her. Dust exploded
around her form as she was hurled back into a cracked pillar.
"Damn you..." she hissed, coughing.
Daniel seized the moment, slamming his aura-infused fists into her ribs. The vampire snarled,
staggered, and raked claws across his chest, drawing bloody lines through his shirt.
"Stay down, human!" she shrieked.
But Daniel was relentless. He struck again, fists glowing like stars, forcing the vampire
backward step by step.
Reyna appeared beside him, sword flashing. "Eat steel, ye bloody bat!"
She slashed low, trying to hamstring the vampire. But the vampire bent backward with
impossible flexibility, letting the blade hiss over her chest.
She then twisted like a serpent and backhanded Reyna across the face.
Reyna flew sideways, crashing into a toppled bookcase. Wood splintered around her as she
gasped for air.
"Reyna!" Ethan shouted.
"Don’t worry ’bout me... kill the bitch... don’t ya...!" Reyna wheezed, blood leaking from her
lip.
The vampire purred, crimson eyes locked on Ethan. "Such loyalty. How... quaint."
She whirled back to Daniel, aura swirling around her like crimson mist.
"Try blocking THIS, human."
Dark magic churned between her palms, coiling into a pulsing red-black sphere. She
whispered:
"Scarlet Eclipse."
The energy exploded outward in a blazing arc.
"Daniel, MOVE!" Ethan yelled.
But Daniel barely raised his arms, aura blazing bright blue, before the blast swallowed him
whole.
The magical shockwave cracked marble tiles and tore apart debris. Daniel’s body
slammed into a distant wall, the stone fracturing behind him. He crumpled to the ground,
unmoving.
"Daniel...!" Reyna screamed, forcing herself up.
The vampire stepped closer, brushing dust off her shoulders. "Another one down. Now...
hero... how shall I carve your heart out?"
Ethan tightened his grip on Warlord’s Fang, face pale but eyes blazing. "It’ll take more than
cheap theatrics to kill me."
"Oh?" She tilted her head, crimson hair cascading down her shoulders, sticking to a smear of
blood on her cheek. "Then come... prove it."
Reyna staggered upright, still clutching her sword. "Boss... can’t... keep up... don’t ya..."
Ethan’s mind raced. He could feel the thrum of the vampire’s monstrous magic pulsing through
the air, thick as oil. His own breaths came ragged.
I can’t beat her like this. Not alone. I need something else...
He dropped his sword tip for a split second and murmured under his breath:
"System. Listen up. Use every coin I’ve got. Find me the most useful skill book you can. I don’t
care what it costs."

Ethan felt new power surge through his limbs like cold fire. Darkness rippled around his feet,
reaching out like living things. A savage grin spread across his face.
"Thanks, System."
He lifted Warlord’s Fang again, the black steel now wreathed in shimmering shadows.
He fixed the vampire with a murderous glare. "Looks like round two’s about to get interesting."
The vampire licked her lips, a wicked smile curving across her flawless features. "Good. I was
hoping you’d entertain me a little longer."
The shadows between them began to ripple and twist, as if the darkness itself held its breath,
waiting for the coming storm...
