SSS-Rank Harem Sword: My Lustful Life With Legendary Maidens-Chapter 79: Harem Shop
For now, you should go back to the Academy," Commander Silva advised. "There you will continue to grow stronger."
"Go back?" Adonis growled, "You want me to sit in a classroom while the woman who murdered my mother sleeps in bed without feeling any consequences?"
Commander Silva’s weathered face etched with a grim, fatherly concern.
"I am telling you to survive. Right now, you are a spark. If you strike her now, she will snuff you out like a candle in a gale. But at the Royal Academy, you are under the protection of the Crown’s neutrality. There, you have access to the archives, the high-tier Ether chambers, and most importantly, the heirs of every powerful house in the Fernis Kingdom."
"Remember, Adonis—This is a war. And a war cannot be won alone. You need to build an army, whether by hook or crook. You need allies who are indebted to you, followers who fear you, and a power base that even the Gratis Kingdom cannot ignore."
Valentina nodded, "The commander is right, Adonis. A dragon does not hunt while its wings are still growing. We need to return to the Academy. We will use their resources, their knowledge, and their ’prodigies’ to forge a weapon capable of decapitating a Duchess."
Millia gripped Adonis’s sleeve, looking supportive. "I’ll go with you, Adonis. I can now help you to establish spies around the Kingdom."
Adonis looked at Millia’s eyes, noticing the faint traces of darkness energy emanating from her.
She wasn’t same weak old maid anymore. Because of the Darkness Blade he had given her, she had become an expert assasin.
"Fine... We willl return at dawn. But I am not going back as a student. I am going back as a Hunter."
He looked back at the black coffin, wondering what he should really do with it. If it was left as is, the body will soon start to rot.
Silva noticed the look and offered further advice. "You should now let her rest in peace. She has suffered enough."
Adonis released a sad sigh. "You know, Commander? My mother always dreamed of watching me at the top, so that I wouldn’t have to listen to their taunts and insults. She used to say that to me a lot. But now, when I am about to become what she wanted, she isn’t breathing to see it."
"She is still watching you, Adonis," Millia said, hugging him lightly.
Watching this, Valentina wondered what the relationship was between them. Even if she didn’t want to admit it, an amount of jealousy was born within her young heart.
Just as Adonis made up his mind to bury Adelaide, a system notification flashed before his eyes.
[ Ding! ]
[ You have reached Level 10+. The System Inventory function and Harem Shop function are now ready to open. ]
Adonis was stunned.
"Vexa," he called out internally,"Can this Inventory function store a biological body? Can it keep her... as she is?"
The system interface flickered, and Vexa’s sweet reponse came through:
"Yes, master. The Inventory exists within a localized stasis field. Time is completely frozen for any object placed within the sub-dimension. Decay, temperature shifts, and the passage of eras will not affect the contents.
After hearing this, a wave of profound relief washed over him, nearly buckling his knees.
He didn’t have to leave her behind in a shallow grave or a tainted family plot. He could carry her with him until the day he found the power to truly honor her. Or perhaps, something more.
With a focused thought, a swirl of dark energy erupted from his palm. It washed over the black coffin like a silent tide.
In an instant, the heavy oak box vanished, leaving only a faint indentation on the floorboards where it had rested.
[ Item Stored: Adelaide’s Coffin (Status: Stasis) ]
"She will stay with me, until the debt is paid."
---
Later that night, after Commander Silva had retreated to the barracks and his house had fallen into an uneasy sleep, Adonis sat alone in the dark.
Beside him, Valentina and Millia watched with curious eyes as he scrolled through the air, manifesting the new Harem Shop interface.
Unlike the stark blue of his status window, the Shop was bathed in a deep alluring crimson.
Rows of icons stretched into infinity, looking mesmerising..
Bloodline Essences
> Concentrated drops to evolve Harem members.
Price: 5,000 – 50,000+ HF
Soul Bonds
> Items to deepen affinity and lock loyalty. 1,000 – 15,000 HF
> Taboo Armaments
> Weapons that grow in power with Harem size. 10,000 – 100,000 HF
Life Paradoxes
> Ultra-rare items capable of defying death. 1,000,000+ HF
Adonis’s eyes lingered on the Life Paradoxes section. The prices were astronomical, far beyond his current 500 HF, but the mere existence of such a category sent a jolt of electricity through his spine.
If the system recognized "Resurrection" as a purchasable concept, then his journey had just gained a terrifying new purpose.
"I can revive her," Adonis murmured, scrolling through the Consumables tab. He saw things that would make the High Swordmasters of the Academy weep:
Elixirs of Eternal Youth, Tears of the Moon Goddess, and even Skill Extraction Scrolls.
Valentina and Millia leaned in close, their hair brushing his shoulder.
"This screen smells of ancient, forbidden magic, Adonjs. What are you looking for? A weapon to kill a Duchess?" Valentina asked.
"I’m looking for the power to ensure no one ever takes anything from me again," Adonis replied.
He noticed a featured item at the top of the shop, glowing with a unique violet hue:
[ FEATURED ITEM: The Harem Overlord’s Mark ]
Cost: 5,000 HF
Effect: Bridges the soul-link between the User and a Harem Member, allowing for 50% Stat Sharing and Instant Teleportation to their side.
He was far from the price tag, but the path was clear.
To grow his power, he needed to grow his influence. To grow his influence, he needed to expand his Harem and collect the Harem Force required to buy the world’s submission.
Adonis closed the window, the red glow fading from his eyes. He looked toward the window, where the first hint of dawn was breaking over the horizon.
It was time to return to the Academy.
"Valentina, Millia," he called out. "Prepare yourselves. We aren’t going back to study. We’re going back to harvest."
