When the group departed from the base camp, it was already afternoon and the sun was high in the sky, yet strangely, the surroundings remained dark.

The Elven Forest that was supposed to be a beautiful place out of fantasy fairytale books suddenly became a horror forest.

The sunlight couldn't get through the trees that grew abnormally tall and lush, but heat lingered, sending sweats down everyone's foreheads.

The temperature slowly raised and the air was stifling.

It reminded Castra of the famous rain forest, a place so humid that it was a torture.

The leader of the instructor team clearly noticed the change in temperature and warned,

"We have a mage here, so anyone who needs water, just ask! Don't get dehydrated and die!"

Castra, Mario, Ray and the elf prince were placed in the middle of the entire group, with other summoners and mages.

At the outer circle were naturally the tough warriors, swordsman and such.

As they walked deeper into the forest, strange plants and animals began to appear;

A bird with three eyes, mushrooms with legs, bushes with strange, jagged teeth, a big tree with veins coiled around, somehow forming the figure of a slender female, like the legendary Dryad.

Or maybe, it was indeed a Dryad!

Before Castra could even look at the strange female figure closely, Crowie had already crowed and screamed,

"Kaa! Kaa! Killed by a beauty, kaa! Kaaa!"

The Mandrake spirit that Mario was holding tightly also cried, trying to break free and run away.

"Wahhhh!! Wahhh!!"

Its piercing cry immediately alerted the group more than Crowie's ominous words.

"Everyone! Change formation!"

The leader barked and the warriors immediately put out their shields, protecting the fragile summoners and mages.

Everyone's eyes were wary, darting around with vigilance.

Some even looked up, afraid that some strange things would fall from the trees.

Just then, under everyone's wide eyes, the thick roots resembling a female figure moved and an eerie yet gentle voice sounded.

"Intruder...how dare you step foot in the sacred Elf Forest..?"

The female figure composed entirely of thick roots and leaves slowly moved, along with the gigantic tree latched onto its back.

Grrrkkkkk.

The sound of something heavy being dragged around echoed throughout the forest, sending shivers down everyone's spine.

"Mages! Emergency barrier!!"

Just as the leader's words fell, a branch as an elephant's trunk suddenly lashed from somewhere, swiping straight at the warriors.

BANG!

The attack came so fast that the mages hadn't even finished their chants and the warriors had barely lifted their shields when the thick branch slapped a burly warrior straight to another thick tree.

PA!

The sound of flesh being squashed sounded and then, a burst of blood stained the other tree's trunk with some flesh residues mixed in.

Castra was so shocked that he froze.

Even the other elites subconsciously held their breaths, their minds screaming,

Danger! Danger!

Castra's gut feeling immediately reacted,

BEEP. [Your passive skill Gut Feeling is activated.]

Gut Feeling: "Oh, no, Oh, no, that's a B-rank intelligent race— a Dryad!"

"We are done for. We are done for. This Dryad is smart, unlike those other monsters. She can even use skills!"

"Her actual power might be at A-rank or even...stronger."

The belated pressure came crushing down, hitting Castra so hard that his entire body was squeezed like a squishy, his organs almost bursting right there on the spot.

"Guh!" Castra puked a mouthful of blood and his body instantly fell to the ground, unable to stand up at all.

The elf prince, Ray and Mario who were all under B-rank showed various similar symptoms with some elites at B-rank even turning pale on the spot.

"Damn it!" The leader didn't dare to check that one warrior who died on the spot and immediately urged the mages while ordering the others to retreat.

"Mages! Another barrier!"

"Retreat! Retreat! Don't run! Don't get separated! Stay inside the mages' barriers!"

"Those who are not injured, carry those who are injured! Healers, save the critical patients first!"

The mages immediately chanted spells while the others hurriedly helped those injured, including Castra and Mario, who almost fainted on the spot.

But before the team member could help Castra, a strange-shaped spirit appeared in front of everyone's eyes and immediately scooped Castra onto its "back".

"Ah! Master! Master! Hang on!"

It's the toilet spirit.

This was the first time the toilet spirit followed Castra as his bound spirit and the spirit was proven to be even more attentive than Garfin and Crowie.

Those two big bosses could only watch as the toilet spirit fussed around Castra, so much so that Castra immediately regained his consciousness and spoke in a stern voice,

"Hey....you! So....noisy!"

It felt like thousands of ducks were all talking at the same time!

The toilet spirit immediately quieted down but it silently used its own aura to shield Castra.

Now that Castra was already a D-rank spirit, the toilet spirit could barely use his ability as a B-rank spirit.

"Master, master, who bullied you like this?? This loyal one will avenge you!"

The toilet spirit flattered his master and Castra rolled his eyes, but thinking again, he needed this spirit.

"See...that Dryad over...there? Yeah, that's...the one."

The toilet spirit looked at the "beautiful" dryad and he immediately stammered.

"A B-rank Dryad? No, no, this looks like an A-rank, glurg! Master, how could you do this to me— "

"Use...your illusion skill to confuse that Dryad."

This was the only way Castra could help their entire group.

Before the Dryad unleashed her second attack and before the barrier could fully envelop everyone's bodies, the toilet spirit used his skill.

"Wide-awake dream!"

Without any spirit world's notification, an invisible energy shot towards Dryad's eyes and quickly blocked her vision, along with her other four senses.

The Dryad's raised roots paused mid-air as it felt as if it was transported to another world.

Mmm? Where is this?

What the Dryad saw in front of her, what she felt and smelled was completely different than before!
