Su Ping then felt the dark sphere tremble greatly. The enemy had exploded.

’ T-This!’ He frowned and clasped his hands together, channeling his focus into keeping the dark sphere intact.

If not because he had conjured it in a rush, he wouldn’t have to worry about it’s durability issue.

A few seconds passed before the dark sphere began to settle.

Su Ping let out a sigh, he then waved his hand and shrunk the sphere to the size of a marble.

’ There’s no way I can get any information from it now.’ he said to himself. ’ Might as well make the most of it.’ he thought, throwing the sphere into his mouth and swallowing it.

His body trembled when he felt a large surge of magic course through his entire body. Su Ping quickly sat down crossed legged and closed his eyes to concentrate. It looked like the unknown energy from the blast was being put to good use, with the dark spheres containment property, he was actually able to contain 100% of the suicide energy.

His zombie subordinates all watched from their spots, non daring to say a word for they sensed their master was undergoing something vital.

Like that they waited and waited. While the girls were supervising the operation within the cave. Su Ping was busy digesting this excess energy.

Eventually, he opened his eyes and let out a thick breath of air. He got up and stretched his limbs, feeling the strange increase in strength.

’ Sadly it was a great effort but not enough to get me to Overlord tier.’ He sighed. He sensed a new gaze on him and turned around to see Emilia and the Wolf King exiting the cave with the rest of his subordinates and the freed captives behind them.

By the time they reached the city’s gates, Su Ping’s flash back came to an end.

The female enforcer from earlier had a look of astonishment when she saw them approach from afar.

" Y-Your all back so soon?" She asked. Su Ping didn’t say a word but used his mind to retrieve her sword from his spatial ring. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

" Thank you..." He said before tossing it back to her.

She caught it with both hands, the sword landing close to her chest. " Y-You’re very much welcome."

She stared at the sword for a moment before smiling at Su Ping. " I didn’t expect it to actually come in handy. Just what kind of trouble did you three encounter out there." She asked, looking every bit curious.

" It wasn’t something we couldn’t handle." Su Ping chuckled, trying his best to mask his impatience.

" Could you commence with the search. I’m afraid we have more pressing matters to attend to." He said. " I hope that’s ok with you."

" No-No, I mean. Please forgive me for taking up so much of your time." She bowed and apologized before quickly gesturing towards her colleague with her gaze. Even if they seemed alright, it was still her duty to be sure they weren’t sneaking in anything harmful into the city.

The other Enforcer knight nodded before going over to search the cart.

" Nothing out of the ordinary." The enforcer knight said before walking back to his post. The female enforcer knight nodded before flashing a smile at Su Ping. " Thank you for your patience, you may pass now."

She allowed them passage into the city. Su Ping nodded towards her before leading the cart into the city.

After parking the cart, Su Ping got off and entered the house. Emilia and The Wolf King watched him go, throughout the drive he never said a single word.

The moment he got in, Su Ping headed up the stairs.

" Darling your home." Melinda came out of the downstairs kitchen, she wore an apron over her attire, the stains on it showed that she must’ve been busy preparing dinner.

Melinda was surprised to see him yet her facial features faltered.

Su Ping nodded before climbing up the stairs, vanishing behind the corner.

Emilia and The Wolf King stepped inside shortly after.

" What happened..." Melinda turned and asked the both of them, a hint of worry on her face. She knew her husband, this change in demeanor wasn’t something he would do at all.

Emilia and the Wolf King glanced at each other. The Wolf King sighed before telling Melinda all that had transpired back in the forest.

After hearing all she had to say, Melinda was confused as well, she continued to think it over until a certain thought came to her mind.

" Of all the times... Why did it have to happen now." Melinda said before hurry up the stairs.

" W-Wait! You know what’s wrong with him?" The Wolf King stopped Melissa half way.

Melissa nodded. ’ I can’t believe I was so caught up with finally having darling by my side that I never once thought of how he must’ve felt after... losing everything.’

" Please... Take care of him." The Wolf Kings words brought her out of her thoughts. Melinda saw the genuine worry in her eyes, it looked like she wasn’t the only one who didn’t like seeing Su Ping like this.

" Of course, just leave it to me." She said with a smile before hurrying along.

" Dear, can I come in?" Melinda stood outside their bedchamber, giving a light knock on the door but she pursed her lips when she didn’t hear anything from the inside.

" Fine then, I’ll take it that you want me to come in any way." She said before gently pushing open the door and stepping inside.

The first thing she saw after closing the door behind her, was her husband laying face first on the bed, his face buried into his pillow.

Her expression softened even more at the sight. Melinda quietly made her way to the bed before sitting at the edge, placing a hand on his back.

" It was more troublesome than you expected?"

"Mmmmm...." Su Ping groaned but Melinda took it as a yes from him.

" D-Do you wish to talk about it..."
