SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows-Chapter 268: Ragna

Aren looked at her, his face said it all. He was tired of her.

"What is your problem? Do you just wake up and feel the need to make lives unreasonable?" he asked.

"Shut the hell up," she yelled and lunged forward, attacking with a full slash.

Aren wanted the blade with shadow sense, not even bothering to look at it with his eyes. He blocked the attack with his wolf guard like before, but the moment the blade touched his arm, an explosion happened.

BOOM

Aren was thrown back, he flipped in the air and landed on his feet without a single issue.

She was already rushing at him again, thrusting her sword for a stab. Aren moved to the side, evaded the attack, but she adapted immediately, turning her blade and slashing to the side.

He grabbed the blade to stop it, but he had made contact with the metal so another explosion ripped through the air, throwing Aren’s arm back.

Aren felt a lot of pain rush through that arm even when he had not lost it, he looked at his arm, stunned to see that it was still attached at all.

’Shit, she packs some punch.’ he thought to himself.

The lady retreated after that, and then attacked again, slashing at the distracted Aren, thinking that would be enough to get him, but Aren evaded the attack with ease, only for her blade to vanish from that hand and appear in her free hand, which she had already prepared for an attack that he couldn’t dodge.

The blade came closer, and it pulsed with soul energy. Aren could tell that if that hit him, the explosion was going to be something else, so without hesitation, he used shadow form, allowing the blade to phase through him, then he stepped closer to her, looking her right in the eye.

She was stunned to her core, she staggered backwards, almost tripping. Her hand on the blade was shaky. Her attack went through his body, she saw it, she had no way to explain what had just happened.

"Get the hell out of my way." Aren warned. He turned around and faced the mountains, it was time he actually faced the real issue and stopped wasting more time.

As he walked, his shadow army converged, every awakened around was watching in shock and confusion about what was even happening. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

His shadow ensured that not a single one got close at all. Aren instantly became the highlight of the trial now, with everyone watching the shadows and their leader.

Kira, Aiden and Zero spotted the shadow army at a distance away and instantly knew that Aren was here, but unlucky for them, they were locked in a fierce battle against multiple werewolves that were attacking in an unrelenting manner.

"What the hell is Aren doing? He has every one of his shadows out?" Aiden asked, looking at the massive amount of shadows while blocking the attack of another werewolf.

"Whatever he is doing, it is something serious," Kira stated. "I’ve never seen him use every shadow like that."

Aren on the other hand already knew that they were there, but...

"Yeah, they should fight their fight, I’ll handle the angel," he said and kept climbing.

He had not gone halfway up the mountain when he spotted a figure standing there.

The moment Aren saw the figure, a smile crept up his face, for standing before him was none other than Ragna.

"It’s been a while," Aren said.

"Kill the bullshit," Ragna said immediately, his eyes glowed. "Because of you, Aren, my life fell apart, I’m not here for talks." He said and then raised his hands into the air, a massive hammer, one more powerful than his last one fell from the air above right into his arm.

BOOM!

The ground beneath them cracked just from the hammer coming.

Aren looked at Ragna, his eyes turned to slits. "I’m guessing you don’t want the angel," Aren said, knowing that Ragna only wanted him.

"Oh, I do, but some things are more important, and one of those is my hate for you, and for this trial, and everything awakened here.

So I and Lily have decided that we will be stopping you," Ragna said.

"Lily is here?" Aren asked, looking around.

"She is, and she is on a special mission," Ragna said. "She will gain the reward for killing the angel, and when she does, we will use whatever it is to destroy you and as many awakened as possible, level this playing field.

I’ll ensure that my position as one of the people that will stand on top of everything remains, you stopped me, and now I have to fix that," Ragna said.

’Shit, if Lily is already heading there, then this is an issue, tch, I can’t allow myself to get slowed down, but I know for certain Ragna won’t let me through, tch.

Riker, Casper, Raze, the three of you are to move with Athena and ensure that she reaches that angel and she is the one that takes it. Stop everyone else that tries to.’ Aren immediately gave out the instruction.

"Talking to others when I’m here? I’ll kill you," Ragna said, hurling his hammer immediately, it slammed into Aren who crossed his arms. Aren was thrown back through the air extremely fast, while Ragna immediately jumped after, shooting like a superhero flying through the air.

"This is my time now, Aren, MINE!" his voice thundered, as he caught up, grabbed the hammer and proceeded to swing, slamming into Aren and throwing him.

Aren shot through the air and slammed into the ground hard, the floor shattered and his body sunk into a massive crater.

’Urghhh, this dude is definitely stronger,’ Aren thought.

Ragna landed beside the crater and looked at Aren.

"I hate you, Aren, and what you did to Lily, that hate drove me to want to get stronger, and so I did, with the help of my family, I rose to level thirty, and gathered enough resources to fight you, to defeat you."
