Chapter 16: I Am Not A Sex Toy!

"The Velxamians have given their word that they wouldn’t attack earth anymore, however they want something in return... They want to experience the pleasure their race of dominant masculine species haven’t been able to since the day of their creation. The touch of a woman."

Victoria felt a chill down her spine as Shawn said coldly. "They want you."

"Wait..." Victoria chuckled softly. She refused to believe it.

"Shawn, your early morning jokes are getting more ridiculous than the last. Last week you joked about playing golf on the moon, and now this?"

"I like jokes as much as the next person, but I assure you Agent Alpha, it’s no joke. The Velxamians have demanded for you as a condition to the treaty."

His tone was as casual as ever, as if they were discussing her next mission.

"Are you crazy?" She shot up from her seat, unable to believe that he said that with a straight face, especially since he was suggesting she sell herself for the sake of a treaty.

"You’re basically selling me out to those six legged creatures!"

He drew his head back dramatically and glanced at her. "Six legged creatures? I believe you’re mistaken Agent Alpha, the Velxamians are a race of insectoids that has evolved into near perfect primates."

"How does that make it more comforting?! I’m not an Intergalactic sex toy that you can just give out whenever you want to Shawn! I’m an Intergalactic agent whose only wish is to save the earth. How would you feel if you were forced to sleep with aliens?"

"Well..." Shawn stroked his well trimmed beards slightly. "Weirdly enough, sticking my Johnson into an alien race of baddies is on my bucket list."

"Shut up you pervert!" Victoria took in a deep breath, then tried to explain things more reasonably.

"But why me? Out of the dozens of female intergalactic agents, why me?"

"How do I explain it to you in a way you’re virgin mind will understand." Shawn stepped forward, gesturing like he was explaining the law of motion.

"It’s called selective branding. It’s like comparing Mournhub with Ex Videos, Mournhub is filled with your favorite c-"

"Don’t tell me about that! I’m not doing it, I came to be a hero, not a means of satisfaction."

"As noble as your cause is, you signed a contract with Starcore Delta Victoria. You want to save the world? Fine, then do it to save the world." He slammed his hands into the table, and his expression shifted instantly.

"You know firsthand the power the Velxamians possess, their firepower as well as their biological prowess is beyond everything we’ve seen before. We lost 16 agents on that mission, and you barely escaped it with your life. You call yourself Earth’s hero? Then do it."

"I came to Starcore Delta to become Earth’s hero by saving lives, not to become a tool of satisfaction. There are other ways to save the earth, I’m not doing it."

Her voice went cold as she glanced at him, it was an insult to her pride and dream of saving the earth. Not to mention that the words of the vigilante had seeped so deep into her that she couldn’t stop thinking about it.

If she followed through, she was just proving him right, she was no hero. Just a corporate toy.

Shawn sighed, looking at her as though she was the one being irrational in this situation.

"Victoria, this isn’t about your dignity, there are lives at stake! You think the hero you aim to be got to where they were by just saving people? They are deep in this game, they know what it takes to become the number one hero in the planet, they’re ready to do whatever it takes."

"Today you tell me to sacrifice myself to insects, the next who knows? You tell me to sleep with intergalactic warlords. I’m not a sex toy, I’m Earth’s second strongest agent Shawn, that’s why I signed the contract with Starcore Delta, I want to do a real hero’s work, not become a toy for negotiations, we are done here."

She pushed open the doors as Shawn’s desperate voice chased after her.

"Agent Alpha! Agent Alpha! You’ll regret walking out on me! Come back her-"

THUD!

With a loud thud, she slammed the door in his face.

She couldn’t believe what he proposed.

"That bastard..." It became clear to her that he had no intentions on actually saving people, just saving his neck. Her encounter with the vigilante made her realize that.

And now that she thought about it, every mission she ever went on always had a hidden agenda behind it.

She rushed back to the ICT department, and immediately Williams caught a glance of her, he froze. She looked pissed, and he knew any requests he denied would mean trouble for him.

"A—Agent Alpha, what brings you here this fine day?" He chuckled nervously, and he could almost feel his temperature rising in an instant. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Wow... It’s Agent Alpha again!"

"This is the second time she’s coming to see that chubby guy."

"What business does he have with her?"

"Damn, he’s so lucky."

While his colleagues and coworkers all thought he was lucky having the opportunity to speak directly to Agent Alpha, it was the opposite for him. She caught him at his lowest point, watching porn that was almost too unrealistic.

"I need to know if there’s any crime in progress." She felt the need to prove herself to the vigilante and she wasn’t just some negotiation sex toy.

"There isn’t, now right now at least." His response left her more angry than shocked. "What do you mean there isn’t? It’s Nova City for God sake, and there’s not even one crime?"

"Crime rates during the day dropped due to the high tech the NEPD scored from Starforce Nebula, but now it seems even at night it’s not as frequent as it used to be after what happened with Phantom.

"Wait wait, Phantom? Who the hell is that?" She was shocked, first of all it sounded a little bit too cliche. Second, why hasn’t she heard from it from her manager. "Is that a new hero of some sorts?"

"No, that’s what they’re calling the vigilante because of how and when he fights crime. The Shadow Vigilante — Phantom."

He pulled up a photo of the news article and there it was, the same photo of him captured by the police drone days ago, but this time, branded with a clear white font [Shadow Vigilante].

She couldn’t take her eyes off it, there was something about him that she couldn’t quite grasp. His stance, the way he swinged through the air. He wasn’t posing or taking styles to gain fame.

Each movement captured in the article was genuine, almost like he moved on instincts rather than thinking to save the couple.

"Agent Alpha." Williams called her back to her senses ss she already lost herself to her thoughts.

"Nothing, just dial the hotline number I gave you if any crimes come up."

She left.

Williams stared at the screen, before staring back at Agent Alpha. "Is she planning on taking him down?" With all the knowledge he had, he came to that conclusion.
