Standing Next To You-Chapter 60: A Big brawl
Chapter 60: A Big brawl
The bell rang, and the students cheered lively.
However, a group of arrogant students hushed their classmates. The students were threatened by their stares and immediately toned down their voices.
They glanced at the back, their gazes fell on a certain individual who was unbothered by time and her surroundings.
Fei Chuan also prepared to leave so he could line up in the cafeteria and secure his favorite spot. He glanced at his desk mate.
Bei Sangyun was still sleeping. She slept through the whole morning.
She usually paid attention to the class and never missed her chance to outshine everyone in the room. Although she was a big bully, she was a great role model when it comes to studying.
However, that studious student slept through the whole morning.
This was the first time he had seen Bei Sangyun not participate in the class.
Could it be she was not feeling well?
The teachers who saw her sleeping earlier did not mind her and even told everyone not to wake her up. And once she did wake up, she could go to the clinic. They really treated her specially.
While the other student who copied Bei Sangyun and slept earlier did not get the same treatment and got a scolding instead.
Ha. What unfair treatment.
Fei Chuan took the box of his cookies. He was about to stand up when he heard the discussion of the lackeys who stood not far away from his row.
"Is the boss still sleeping?"
"This is the first time I’ve seen the boss being lethargic. Is she sick?"
"Wouldn’t her neck hurt after sleeping like that? We should wake her up so she could sleep in the clinic."
"Then how about you volunteer to wake her up?"
"You know how she is if we bother her..."
What a load of nonsense. They were even afraid to wake her up?
Fei Chuan glanced at Bei Sangyun again. He stood up and kicked her chair.
The sudden movement woke up Bei Sangyun. She slowly got up while massaging her neck. As expected, she got a stiff neck after sleeping in that posture.
The lackeys clearly saw Fei Chuan kicking their boss’s chair. They looked at Fei Chuan, who passed them by in dumbfounded silence.
He dared... he dared to kick the tyrant’s chair!
Bei Sangyun moved her head left and right. She actually slept like that.
"Boss! That bastard kicked you! We saw it with our own eyes!"
"...What bastard?" Bei Sangyun was still out of it. It seemed like she had a dream of the past.
Right. She dreamed of the ballroom. Those memories must have resurfaced because she was reminded of it after staring closely into Fei Chuan’s eyes.
Bei Sangyun glanced at her side and found it empty.
"That Fei Chuan! He deliberately kicked your chair and woke you up!"
Bei Sangyun glanced at the plastic where the bread and milk were. It was still untouched. "Fei Chuan? Where is he?"
"He must be on his way to the cafeteria. I saw him with his box of cookies."
Bei Sangyun took the plastic bag and stood up. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
The lackeys became excited. "Are we going to find him to teach him a lesson? I’ll prepare the boys!"
Bei Sangyun frowned. "I told you not to touch him. Don’t follow me."
....
Lin Sunji watched with a sneer as Bei Sangyun left the room. She sent a message on her phone, and after confirming it, her smile deepened.
"Geez, it must be great to be a tyrant. She can sleep through the whole class, and the teacher won’t even dare to scold her," her deskmate muttered in envy. Then she glanced at Lin Sunji and hooked arms with her.
"Sunji, how about you also try to sleep in class? I bet the teacher will not bother you too, like Lin Sangyun, since you are both from the Lin family."
"Why would I sleep in class? Only rude students do that. What kind of model student would not participate in the class and be rude to the teachers?" Lin Sunji replied in annoyance.
"Right. Our Lin Sunji is very different from the tyrant. Don’t compare them. If the tyrant is the model for bad students, Lin Sunji is the model for good students," replied one of the students.
The other students nearby Lin Sunji agreed.
Lin Sunji smiled gracefully.
Unlike that Lin Sangyun, she upheld a good reputation and was a model student. There was no need to compare herself to that vermin.
Besides, that person wouldn’t be able to act as a tyrant anymore. She had endured long enough, and it was time to teach her a lesson.

Bang!
Fei Chuan crashed onto a broken chair, the container he had been holding was sent tumbling to the floor. His back throbbed with pain from the impact against the wooden chairs.
His hair and uniform were disheveled from the intense struggle. Blood stained the corner of his mouth, his lips were torn, and several bruises marred his fair skin.
It was evident that he had been seriously injured during their brawl, but he made no sound, merely gritting his teeth as he glared angrily at the crowd before him.
"They claimed you were a coward who fled at the first sight of other students. So, I gathered enough men to bring you here. Who would have thought that a skinny fellow like you could put up such a fight?"
A larger student irritably rolled up his sleeves, revealing evident bite marks on his arm, which were still bleeding.
The other students had equally disheveled appearances, with some obvious bruises on their faces. They clearly outnumbered him and had expected to bring Fei Chuan here without much resistance. However, this seemingly frail young man had displayed surprising strength, even causing their leader to bleed.
The leader winced upon touching his wound, his gaze narrowing in anger as he looked at Fei Chuan.
"Today, you’re going to pay with your life."
The other students behind him massaged their knuckles, preparing for further violence.
Fei Chuan met their gazes with a threatening glare, but inwardly, he was growing uneasy.
His eyes darted toward the container that had rolled about a meter away from him. How was he going to escape this perilous situation?
It was ten against one.
He had realized these students were different when they forcibly brought him here. He had tried to evade them and run, but he was too slow. No matter how hard he struggled, he had been overpowered.
The students who had witnessed the chase hadn’t made any effort to help him or call for assistance from the teachers. He knew he could not expect any help from them.
Fei Chuan understood that the moment he was left alone with this group, his fate was sealed.
These bullies were more brutal and aggressive than the usual talkative ones. Perhaps, this group was the real bullies in the school.
Fei Chuan fought to stand up, clenching his fists and assuming a defensive stance.
"Oh, he’s ready to fight, boss."
"He has no escape now. It’s do or die for him."
"Don’t blame us if you end up in the hospital. You brought this upon yourself by offending our great boss."
"Great boss?"
Fei Chuan smiled coldly. "Ah, so you’re her lackeys. How does it feel to be her dogs?"
The leader’s expression darkened. "You’re really asking for a beating. Boys, start by breaking his legs so he can’t run. Then, we’ll tear off his mouth. Big boss Sangyun will greatly reward us for this."
Six men moved in to surround Fei Chuan.
Fei Chuan spotted a broken chair leg nearby and snatched it up. He swung it menacingly, a glint of defiance in his eyes.
"Go ahead and try."
"You’re arrogant to the end. Hold him down!"
