Star Gate-Chapter 1039: Unparalleled Battle Strength (III)

Li Hao was highly excited and chomped at the bit. All two hundred and thirty of his acupoints were open—they resembled small suns. Nine dao meridians ran through his body, no longer as supernatural characters, but open dao meridians. Energy surged into them as they connected to the Hao Cosmos. The young man struck with his sword, shattering the firmament.

Boom!

An enormous fist punched out, shaking Stellaris from the force of impact. It was Li Hao’s first time meeting such a strong opponent and formidable weapon. Those boxing gloves seemed even more durable than Stellaris.

The young man grew more excited!

“To sever the self!” Li Hao stabbed through the sky like an assassin. Energy rippled, but it was the void that continuously shattered.

The Great Li answered with only a punch!

The void crackled and crumbled between the two. Li Hao struck with his sword again and again! The more he fought, the more excited he grew.

The two battled fiercely in the wilderness. A figure projected in the upper air of an ancient city not too far away widened its eyes with surprise. It opened its mouth to object, but sword light crashed through the form before it had a chance to speak!

A hearty round of angry curses rose from the ancient city.

Li Hao didn’t care which ancient city it was. He was invincible in the outside world. Granted, the guy in front of him was also of the same level.

On this night, a sword and a pair of fists illuminated Silver Moon. Their shadows were projected over many a ruin. Some ancient residents were shocked, others were surprised, and some sighed with emotion.

Was this Li Hao and... the Great Li king? They might be the two strongest people in the world at present, no?

The void ripped apart in fissures several hundred meters long as the fierce battle raged on. This was true Apex!

Indeed, true Apexes possessed the battle strength of Apex core origin. Seven element Arcanus was different from them. Unless Immortal primary bodies appeared, Arcanus would not be able to stand against true Apexes.

“Who will win between the two of them?” asked the general.

The old turtle shook its head. It didn’t know either. Both sides had reached the maximum of this world. Who knew who would win?

Countless powerhouses observed the fight from the shadows. Even the descendant of the Sea Pacification Envoy in the North Sea sent out a replica to observe from the water surface.

The void ripped apart again in an uninhabited expanse of bleak desolation. Li Hao roared; there seemed to be a fissure in the air that leaked thunder, lightning, gale winds, an explosive concoction of the five elements, and intermixed light and darkness!

The Great Li king responded as he always did—with a single punch!

“These are fancy, empty tricks!” snorted the king. Li Hao had many methods up his sleeves, but they were all devoid of substance in the king’s eyes. Whether it was power of the five elements, a cage of the world, wind and thunder and lightning... they were form without substance.

My fist is the only thing that exists in the world!

Li Hao said nothing—his longsword hovered in the air as he tilted his head back at the sky. The longsword seemed to be a rule of great dao. The young man was bathed by the energies of heaven and earth, the nine celestial bodies revolving around him!

He waved a hand, sending the nine crashing into the ground!

BAM!

The Great Li king punched repeatedly, obliterating all of the incoming celestial bodies. Li Hao spat out a mouthful of blood, as did the king pale.

Next, the young man grew ten thousand times bigger. He was a magnificent titan that reached the heavens! Everyone throughout the northern continent could see a humongous giant piercing through the sky!

Li Hao’s eyes were as if the sun and moon; stars flitted through them. Celestial splendor shone from the two hundred and thirty acupoints. He was as if an incarnation of the universe.

“Fancy, empty tricks?” he smiled. “You know not the beauty of the great dao and the marvels of martial dao. King of Great Li, you’re but a brute! I’ll show you what it means to be Sun and Moon!”

A bright moon hovered in the sky with his shout and cast gentle radiance over the land. His right hand then came up, a massive sun wobbling in his palm! He held the moon with his left hand and the sun with his right!

He was a demon god that wielded the sun and moon to throw them at the Great Li king!

The earth shattered and heavens collapsed! The king snarled and punched outward like a blazing sun. Rumble!!

He was forced into backing away, shaken and blood leaking out of the corner of his mouth. Li Hao... was becoming stronger the more he fought!

A new thought struck the king—he also became a towering giant and shot through the void, enduring tremendous pressure to punch Li Hao.

Bam!

Cracks appeared over Li Hao’s body when he stumbled backward.

“So that’s all there is to your physical body!” The king was overjoyed. Li Hao’s body wasn’t as strong as anticipated. It was just his supernatural abilities that were stronger! His physical body was weaker than the Great Li king’s.

If Li Hao’s physical body was as strong as his great dao, the king felt that he would most surely be defeated today. The young man’s strength exceeded the imagination and his comprehension of great dao was much deeper than the king’s.

But now, the king saw a chance! The sight also enabled the powerhouses watching from thousands of kilometers away to sag with relief. Thank goodness there was still someone in this world who could curtail Li Hao. Otherwise, who could rival him with the strength that he’d displayed?

All that the Saints and Empyrean Kings could do before the world awakened was just watch. The Great Li king... had to win!

These thoughts ran through many people’s minds. If the king lost, they were completely out of ideas for who could match the young man at this stage.

As Li Hao continuously backed away, he suddenly laughed, “The physical body is not the be all and end all! Try my new technique, king of Great Li! I haven’t had the chance to use it yet...”

Li Hao split into nine duplicates and took up stances in nine directions of the void! He encircled the Great Li king. There seemed to be a new universe in this world as the young man turned into nine celestial bodies that bore down with their auras.

“Thunder!”

Rumble!

A Li Hao made of lightning howled with thunderclaps, a Li Hao made of wind waved storm winds into being. All nine Li Haos demonstrated their respective attributes, but that wasn’t enough!

Another Li Hao appeared in the sky—this one seemed to be the real one. He wielded Stellaris and swung it downward, absorbing all of the supernatural abilities to send the Great Li king flying!

“ROAR!” snarled the king. He punched with abject fury, a move accompanied by the wails of thousands of demons and monster spirits. The world barrier seemed to break with a massive crack!

The ten Li Haos came back as one. The Great Li king was drenched in golden blood that splattered on the ground. He heaved for breath, his body showing signs of being struck by lightning and burned by fire. There were even frost burns from ice.

He glared at the equally panting Li Hao across the way, shock roiling in his heart! The Great Li king was as confident as Li Hao and felt that no one beneath the heavens could stand before him. He was the strongest monarch in Great Li history!

He’d even suppressed the divine temple of endless heritage; the main priest had to work for him. He led troops into the central plains and schemed against the ancient cities. His magnificent feat of conquest was at hand!

When it came to Li Hao, the king simply felt that the young man was a genius and the pride of the age.

Being a genius did not make one a sovereign. He was!

And yet, while he was unquestionably domineering in today’s fight, he could not secure a victory over Li Hao. The young man had too many tricks in his bag. Was this supposed to be found in a martial master that’d only cultivated for a few months?

He had a wide variety of supernatural abilities to call on. Was he still a martial master?

“The Great Li king... is right up my alley!” Li Hao smiled. “I like a martial brute like you!”

His smile grew downright perverted. How nice! It’s really lonely being invincible. Granted, he wasn’t truly invincible, just that no one else was worthy of a second glance before the second awakening. Even that Jiang Li didn’t amount to much. Everything during their fight had been under his control!

He’s strong if I want him to be strong, he can’t be if I don’t wish for him to be. But this one is bolstered by the heavens and can break through without pause. Only this kind of opponent is interesting!

If it wasn’t for Great Li being invaders, Li Hao wanted to enter the ruins to fight the true Immortals. He wanted to temper his sword in single combat!

What a shame that Great Li stood in his way. In that case, they could be his whetstone. He could try anything he wanted to experiment!

And so, Li Hao made a different gesture in the next second. He swung his sword at the void—a supernatural character appeared!

“Dao!” The sword seemed to shatter the void when the character appeared.

The look in the king’s eyes shifted drastically, as did expressions on powerhouse’s faces!
