Star Gate-Chapter 1050: Dao Meridians of the Body (III)
Chapter 1050: Dao Meridians of the Body (III)
It was highly unlikely that any powerhouse of any age possessed a body stronger than the Tyrant Sovereign’s.
The age that Li Hao lived had just begun, so its inhabitants could not begin to compare to even New Martial powerhouses, much less the Tyrant Sovereign. Even now, human bodies did not necessarily measure to up New Martial peers of the same cultivation level.
Li Hao and his people had taken an idealistic viewpoint and thought that the physical body would grow continuously stronger as the Hao Cosmos responded to their cultivation. They would ultimately complete the strengthening of the body and supernatural abilities.
But now, the young man discovered that proceeding down this path created a body that was neither weak nor that strong. It only reached the level of average New Martial human bodies and lacked unique traits!
It wasn’t until he met Jiang Li and saw the other deploy Initial Martial bones that Li Hao realized the problem might lie with the skeletal structure. He knew that the three continents were about to see wars of their own, but he still had some problems to resolve.
Tempering the blade did not delay chopping wood, there was no need to be in a rush.
“Can it be that I haven’t finished clearing the basic three hundred and sixty acupoints, so no metamorphosis has taken place? But if it’ll only take place once I’ve completed all three hundred and sixty, I’ll already have thirty-six dao meridians. Won’t the change be a bit too late then?
New Martial cultivators of eighth rank golden body were the equivalent of third or fourth level Mountain and Sea. They could be fifth or sixth level at most. Their physical bodies underwent changes at this time.
But based on Li Hao’s thoughts, metamorphosis only occurred at three hundred and city acupoints. Didn’t that mean Silver Moon denizens needed to cultivate to ninth level Sun and Moon before changes filtered through their body?
But in that case, not even Li Hao had opened three hundred and sixty locks, much less anyone else.
“This would certainly be inappropriate. Whether it’s an unattributed Mountain and Sea or a Sun and Moon, the body does not bear unique characteristics if it cannot command any supernatural abilities. That will mean it has no advantages when faced with New Martial or Initial Martial opponents. ...do we have to have supernatural abilities?”
Li Hao picked up the bone and studied it for a while, then looked around the vast universe. Was there a dao around here suited for the physical body? Or was there a specific dao meridian in the human body that would help the body take a massive leap once it was cleared? Or perhaps it would outright enter metamorphosis?
If there was, where was it?
The most unique aspect to modern humans were the dao meridians. They didn’t necessarily have to follow another’s path, but it had to be first identified if this dao meridian existed. At least up till present, Li Hao was yet to discover a dao meridian that would instantly fortify the physical body!
He’d noticed some of his failings in his fight with the Great Li king. While he had a lot of methods and abilities, it was only due to the king’s own lack of strength that Li Hao was able to win. Otherwise, the young man wouldn’t even have the chance to bring his techniques to bear. He had many options to call upon, but his strength simply matched the king’s in various aspects.
Both of them were people who’d broken the limits of this world. Therefore, strictly speaking, Li Hao and the Great Li king were of the same cultivation level. However, the young man wasn’t invincible among his peers.
Even though his teacher had said that there was no need to pursue invincibility, Li Hao felt that he’d received plenty of opportunities. He was even the first to discover the Hao Cosmos! If he couldn’t even dominate those of his level, could he still count as invincible?
Which invincible powerhouse didn’t actually challenge those stronger than them? But look at him! His body had almost fallen apart!
The Ninth Division leader said that this is a hallmark of the Lis... but I don’t buy that! Modern humans must have our own unique dao meridians that we can strengthen our bodies with.
His body suddenly split apart as if he’d been dissected. His bones floated free, his organs floated free, and even his dao meridians individually showed themselves. The bone of Initial Martial hovering in front of him fractured; a unique energy started circulating from it.
Li Hao did not absorb it, he simply observed it silently. This bone was very strong and contained a unique strength within. He wanted to see if there was a dao meridian within his body that would resonate with the bone and voluntarily meld with it. Or was there a star within the Hao Cosmos that was attracted to this kind of strength?
If there was, then that might be where the dao meridian of the physical body was.
“The body is weak and still is after I’ve discovered the Hao Cosmos... This is why people keep laughing at me,” Li Hao grumbled. It was only at times like these that he demonstrated the mindset of a youngster. He was unwilling to accept defeat!
He’d been ticked off ever since Zhang An said that he didn’t want a body of the new humans because they were too weak. When the Great Li king scoffed at the capabilities of Skystar bodies, he was even more irked!
Who are they belittling?? We’re all natural dao bodies, how are we any less than you? We’ve just discovered our capacities later and haven’t found the dao meridian of the physical body yet. Once we do, unattributed cultivators of the same level will be able to kill you guys with one punch after opening it!
He wouldn’t say these words in the outside world, but here, it didn’t matter. He could say whatever he wanted.
“There’s got to be one,” he muttered. “I trust that there is. Once I find it, I’ll beat that Great Li king to death with one hit!”
Boom!
The bone of Initial Martial exploded and Li Hao still refused to absorb its energy. He permitted it to disperse as it would. If Jiang Li saw the sight, he would likely self detonate out of anguish over the waste. That was a precious bone of Initial Martial!
It would be one thing if Li Hao absorbed the energy, but letting the energy be lost among the cosmos was a crime!
The formidable surge of energy wandered through the void. Some of it stuck to Li Hao and was absorbed in turn, but the young man realized with dejection that it was the ‘dao’ character consuming the energy. I know that the dao character might encompass the dao of the body, but this isn’t what I need. I want everyone to be able to cultivate this dao meridian!
He wandered through the void, watching the bone energy drift through the void. Suddenly, a giant star in the distance twinkled.
Li Hao caught the reaction and vanished, still in disassembled form. He utilized a star as his vehicle and traveled to a certain spot. There was another star here, but it was very dim. It sparkled slightly, having absorbed special energy.
“Does this mean... that someone of the human race has opened this dao meridian, but they haven’t cultivated it?” he murmured. “No one’s discovered it, but the meridian has been opened. Is it because the bone of Initial Martial stirred it up?”
But all humans had dao meridians now. Who the hell did this one belong to? It wasn’t his, at any rate!

Li Hao didn’t know what to do with himself. Should he blast through this spot and connect it to the real world to see who it was? But if they hadn’t opened the dao meridian yet and were very weak, these actions might spell the end of the cultivator. They might outright explode.
Yet, it was nigh impossible for him to determine their identity on the other side of the dao universe. What should he do?? Whose dao meridian was this??
He finally had the hints of a clue, he couldn’t just give up now, could he?
Despite his conflicted struggle, Li Hao summoned his supernatural characters and surrounded the star with them, then manifested the ‘dao’ character and fully enveloped it!
He wasn’t satisfied with this, however. Li Hao clenched his jaw and forced some of the ‘dao’ character into the dim star. With that, he exhaled heavily.
“That more or less locks onto their position. All I need to do now is travel the world and locate a familiar presence or someone who feels close to me. That might be the person who possesses this dao meridian!”
At the very least, he wouldn’t run too large a risk of outright killing the guy. While punching through the dao universe was still an option, the greatest concern there was that they would be too weak and outright collapse.
But what if his precautions weren’t enough to facilitate his retrieval?
Li Hao thought some more and coalesced a droplet of blood. It sparked like starlight and darted into the dim star.
“That’s more like it. If I meet someone like Director General Wang who feels like my son, that should be the owner of this star!” Li Hao was immensely satisfied and quickly passed through the dao universe. It was time to leave.
As for the nearly depleted bone of Initial Martial, he didn’t care about it. It was just a bone! If this trial didn’t work, he’d rob a few more from Jiang Li for further experimentation. Next time, he could utilize himself as a catalyst for energy particles.
......
Li Hao followed the coordinates radiated by Stellaris and traveled through the void to return to the real world. His arrival was immediately sensed by another.
Yuan Shuo appeared and heaved a sigh of relief when he saw the young man. “Don’t go wandering around inside by yourself, it’s still a very dangerous endeavor. There’s news of the three nations sending out their troops. They’ve almost reached the three continents, everyone’s waiting for your arrangements!”
“No worries, recruit soldiers first and make your preparations,” Li Hao nodded. “I’ll take care of it! Has the Great Li king done anything undesirable during this time?”
“No.”
“That’s good!” the young man laughed. “Teacher, I’m searching for a dao meridian of the physical body and seemed to have made some discoveries. If I can find and open it, that will be the greatest achievement of all! Therefore, I want to go look for it first. I’m very strong these days and can quickly travel through the void to scan the four directions. So... wait a bit longer for me!”
“Clearing three hundred and sixty acupoints will lead to certain changes...” Yuan Shuo frowned.
“That’ll be too late then!” Li Hao shook his head. Yuan Shuo was rendered speechless. He felt that only powerhouses needed this kind of metamorphosis, but Li Hao was obsessed with the dao meridians of the physical body. He was getting off on a tangent.
Although the young man was his disciple, Li Hao had a lot of thoughts of his own. There was nothing that Yuan Shuo could do to persuade him otherwise.
“Then be quick about it, we don’t have much time to waste on this!”
“I know!” Li Hao nodded and vanished.
......
Li Hao extended his senses to their utmost and flew through the air, sweeping all directions with an overwhelming aura. He took stock of every single possible orientation.
Many saw Li Hao on this day, but he simply swept past them and didn’t linger. Despite that, it was still sufficient to scare the wits out of many. Some provincial powerhouses reacted as if facing their mortal enemy.
Only when Li Hao disappeared in the sky did people’s hearts come back to rest. The young man’s frown deepened the more he traveled.
He first swept the three northern continents, but didn’t sense any connection. Apart from Director General Wang, there was no one who felt close to him. He had no choice but to enter the central region. It was thanks to his incredible strength and brimming vitality that he could search for a needle in a haystack like this. It would be impossible otherwise.
After some thought, Li Hao darted into the Hao Cosmos again to take his bearings. Although direction might be different in the dao universe, he didn’t care that much. Every side would be scanned.
And so, then the three nations drew closer to Skystar, Li Hao sped his way through the land, searching for the person equipped with the dao meridian. The further west he traveled, the more excited he became. That person might be in the west!
