Stars dotted the expanse around Battle Heaven. While they weren’t as scintillating as ones that he’d seen before, Li Hao knew that this was a mark of the birth of new dao meridians in a new cultivator. Some among the Battle Heaven Army had opened their meridians!

More than half of the thunderbolts striking the ancient city had dispersed. The celestial bodies around them seemed ready to retreat to the depths of the universe.

“Capture the celestial bodies, pluck the stars, and seize the moon!” Li Hao called out. “Aggregate them in one place and make the army’s might known through the stars!”

The old turtle and the rest set large quantities of energy stones ablaze without another word. The ancient city immediately grew several times over!

“Troops, we shall raise Battle Heaven together and occupy the center of the universe, the center of the great dao, and overshadow the world!” Li Hao exhorted. “Battle Heaven will be the first city of the new dao universe! From henceforth, the greatest city in the Hao Cosmos is Battle Heaven!”

“Battle Heaven!” The soldiers were so worked up that they were nearly foaming at the mouth.

Meanwhile, their Saints were struggling to keep their sobs quiet. They were done for! The army had completely fallen for Li Hao’s lies!

Tens of thousands of soldiers stampeded back into formation, hot blood thrumming through their veins. They raised their hands high to hold up the sky. The great city hovered overhead and Li Hao waved an arm clad in orange armor. “Forward!”

Blood qi shook the heavens as the floating city advanced toward the center of the starry river.

Capsize Sea couldn’t help itself and transmitted, “I... may not know how this one does in battle, but he’s quite a deft hand at arousing morale. We’ve yet to engage the enemy, but it’s like the soldiers have all been fed stimulants.”

The old turtle didn’t say a word, and neither did General Pagoda. The Ninth Division leader was in the field, personally leading troops to move the city...

No one immediately responded to the golden cow. Seeing the silence drag on, the redwood quickly replied, “The honorable Sea Pacification Envoy speaks erroneously. He could fight even Empyrean Kings! Only exalted emperors remained out of reach.

The enormous city slowly moved to the center of the starry river. It settled in place with a loud rumble. A golden passageway beneath it melded into the ancient city.

“Where is the plant spirit army?” Li Hao called out.

“Here!” Several dozen plant spirits appeared.

“Safeguard this place and tirelessly extract great dao power from day to night to fortify this locale! Infuse it with Water of Life, strengthen the passageway, set up a seal formation. Kill anyone who tries to force their way in!”

“Understood, sir!” The plant spirits were immensely excited. They finally had something to do! Although the mission was just standing guard over the passageway, it didn’t seem to be an easy task.

“The clusters of stars have great power in them.” A new thought struck Li Hao. “The plant spirit army can try extracting energy from the various sectors and aggregate them here. That will reinforce the passageway and make the entire river of stars into one entity!”

He wanted these plant spirits to extend their roots into the river of stars, as well as extract the power of great dao from various sectors. In this way, they would continuously strengthen their bodies and abilities.

As for whether or not the idea was feasible... they would know after an attempt. The scattered starry river would finally be one connected whole.

The plant spirits had no other opinions. Although they didn’t train the new dao, extracting some of the great dao’s power might not lead to failure. Plant spirits were very complicated to begin with and any power could help them grow. They were just used to core origin.

Countless roots stretched through the void; crystalline tendrils traversed the world and extended to the far reaches of each sector. Battle Heaven seemed to be the center of the world.

A spherical expanse of stars began to form.

The Saints watched its formation with strange looks in their eyes. What was this? They didn’t know!

But they knew one point, and it was that even Empyrean Kings would be obstructed in the dao universe given the presence of Battle Heaven, forty-eight resident plant spirits, and a guardian seal formation. Perhaps outright suppressing the Empyrean King might even be possible.

Li Hao looked around and inclined his head. “This is a most excellent defense, but insufficient offense...”

That was indeed a problem.

Whether it was these people or monster spirits, their efforts were mighty when it came to defense. But when offense or lethal force was needed, that was very much lacking.

There weren’t many Immortals within the city. These days, Immortals a-plenty could be found in Silver Moon. Fourth level Sun and Moon would make one an Immortal, and these people cultivated the new dao.

Li Hao had been busy with various affairs over the past couple of days, but could still glimpse at the happenings outside based on changes in the Hao Cosmos. Light Sword and the others were nearing mid Sun and Moon.

Setting aside their premier fighting force, Silver Moon’s middle level of battle strength was rapidly approaching New Martial’s. Those of connate dao bodies cultivated very quickly in a new age in which a new dao was newly born.

Those of New Martial had lost their core origin universe, been sealed away for many years, and asleep for even more. Aside from the traitors, no one had recovered that quickly. Even the traitors cultivated very slowly because they lacked core origin dao.

Progress was very difficult in the absence of Immortal and core origin strength.

To Li Hao, New Martial powerhouses no longer seemed that frightening to him. Once a batch of Silver Moon world inhabitants advanced to late Sun and Moon, not even New Martial Saints would be terrifying anymore.

Granted, it would take ninth level Sun and Moon to fight a Saint. Even then, it was very likely that the Saint would win. But that didn’t matter.

Li Hao gave no further instructions and erupted with the power of great dao inside his body. He quickly opened the three new body dao meridians, producing three dragons that proudly soared through the void and melded into the passageway.

There were still only thirty-six open meridians in his body. He did not have any that were attributed. He’d either given them away or incorporated them into the passageway. And yet, their strength remained. The young man simply seemed more like a mundane because all of his meridians were unattributed. Only his sword intent flourished.

It didn’t seem like Li Hao had improved by much these days, he’d simply opened a few dao meridians. In reality, he felt that he had quite the gains after his recent renovations and organization of the great dao system.

The strength in his body was no longer a scattered jumble. It was clean and pure without compare!

There were much fewer pretty tricks to be found. All of it was replaced by a kind of absolute intent.
