Chapter 1582: Exchanging Blows! (I)

Although Li Hao had never heard of the concept that daos were created by humans before the unknown daoist spoke of it, that was fine. He did know that dao universes were the result of human comprehension. The proof laid in Silver Moon’s twin dao universes—they most likely came from the Sword Sovereign.

At least, part of them came from the Sword Sovereign’s comprehension, the other part was most likely from the War Sovereign!

Take the most critical component of time, for example. Li Hao suspected that it came from some of the War Sovereign’s comprehensions in his past life. He’d coalesced it into the star of time, which was why Number Two kept such a firm hold on it. The cat wasn’t just nostalgic for the past, but had also sensed something.

As for the river of great dao, that should be a function of the Sword Sovereign’s enlightenment.

These people were quite the characters!

The entirety of Li Hao’s comprehension was integrated into the river of life and death, but it was a far cry from being a dao universe. Even though the young man had already reached fourth rank in comparison to the Sword Sovereign’s sixth rank, he increasingly felt that his knowledge of dao might not run as deeply as these people’s did.

His only advantage was that his foundation was solid. And all of these experiences served to deepen his foundations.

Li Hao’s body shook after a while!

A vast surge of power swept through the surroundings, but was soon devoured by the domain of emptiness and silenced. Immense strength of body dao once more melded into the river of life and death.

The river’s strength circled around Li Hao, while its physical form in the outside world vanished. It became one with Li Hao’s body like it was veins and blood vessels. Running through the young man’s figure, it separated the two stars that’d just combined as one. Instead, it built a connection between the star of life and death as well as emptiness.

The two stars abruptly landed—one each—in the young man’s eyes. Life and death were in his left eye, emptiness and revitalization were in his right eye.

Gan Wuliang’s heart quailed; he’d been watching the young man all this time. Panther was highly excited as it sensed the young man’s changes.

Li Hao’s presence soon shifted, changing from its original exuberant vitality to one that hovered in and out of the senses. He had become somewhat similar to the cultivator from before—a little more mysterious, a little less part of the chaos.

“Fourth rank!” Li Hao breathed out with a laugh. Although he hadn’t made the breakthrough via the daos of yin and yang, he was still immensely satisfied. He was a mid rank now!

This imparted some more confidence to him. He could stand on his own two feet in the chaos now, even without borrowing strength through time! So long as he avoided provoking high ranks, he’d at least be able to run from sixth ranks that were not on par with Li Zhu or Void.

......

Just as Li Hao officially became a fourth rank and set out toward Red Moon again.

Skyward.

Pressure from two enormous presences wafted outside the world. Two Red Moon high ranks had arrived.

Off to the side, another surge of pressure dawned, as brilliant as the sun. A premier exalted emperor had come from Light!

There also seemed to be the masters of other major worlds in the surroundings—none of them put their might on display. They mostly came from seventh rank worlds. Under normal circumstances, seventh rank worlds could give birth to two seventh rank exalted emperors, or one master of the world and one master of great dao.

New Martial had produced three—the seventh rank Sun God was a unique existence. He’d carved his own path out of a seventh rank world and become a cultivator who was neither the master of the world nor the master of dao.

“Open the world gate, Fog Mountain!” someone said. The speaker was the Light exalted emperor off to the side; the Light master had not come in person.

Premier powerhouses were aware as soon as he spoke that this was the Exalted Flare Sun Emperor of Light major world.

He was one of the Light exalted emperors most experienced in battle. There were a variety of paths of light in the major world, not just one. Each of them were different and this person’s dao of light veered more towards the blazing radiant sun. It was intermixed with a lot of offensive daos.

......

Skyward.

Fog Mountain laughed. So Flare Sun had come. Red Moon had sent Siren and Red Velarium. There were also multiple seventh ranks from other major worlds in the surroundings. All of them were waiting for him to open the gates.

Apart from that, there also seemed to be a sixth rank. He was quite strong to be able to become part the world. There were no other clues about who he was or where he was from. Regardless, Fog Mountain knew that this was not someone to be underestimated.

As expected, all sorts of people came when Skyward stirred.

Fog Mountain looked out at these exalted emperors and didn’t say a word. He was in no hurry to open the door. These guys could break through it, they just didn’t want to take offensive action and cause open hostilities between the two parties.

Fog Mountain continued to think over the situation.

Within the world barrier, a cultivator that’d turned himself into a smack of dust likewise looked around. His gaze settled on the two Red Moon exalted emperors, but he quickly looked away. His opportunity to reach seventh rank was not with them.

He needed to find a seventh rank master of the world!

At the same time, someone rushed out of Demon Summit. His presence was in a bit of a disarray since newly attained sixth level strength had not yet stabilized. However, he darted out all the same to look up at the sky.

Things were getting interesting now!

Even Senior Flare Sun had come... What a pity that Li Hao had left. But even if he didn’t, this wouldn’t be his battlefield anymore. Sixth ranks could fight in this layout, but it was seventh ranks that were the center of power. Perhaps even eighth ranks would present themselves too.

Sixth rank was a bottom tier entrance ticket to these proceedings.

“It was worth it to set foot into sixth rank after all!” laughed Void as he rapidly flew towards a world gate. Since Flare Sun was here, it was better if they convened. Otherwise, Void had been feeling the pressure with a group of seventh ranks.

Although the Skyward dao universe will not be opening up, but... I might be able to witness the destruction of a major world.

It would be such a waste of everyone making this trip if we didn’t see a few dead seventh ranks at the end of it!

......

Skyward swung to and fro, but Li Hao continued forward without paying attention to any of that. This time, he picked a route that avoided everyone and didn’t kill any powerhouses along the way. He ignored the Dragon Observatory group in the chaos. His only goal was to safely retrieve the Silver Moon exalted emperors.

If he could convene with Celestial Pole and the Pagoda King, he would do so. If he couldn’t... then there was nothing that could be done about that.

He’d tried his best!

He’d done everything he could to meet up with the New Martial delegation. Perhaps they hadn’t needed his efforts and perhaps the supreme had his own plans in mind.

The young man didn’t care.

All he knew was that he was familiar with Celestial Pole since the latter’s replica had helped him on multiple occasions. In that case, he would try to save the other since he was in danger now. He would do his best and have a clear conscience.

Sky Sword and the others were scattered around Skyward, but at least Li Hao was aware of their movements. Lin Hongyu and the rest, however, were dispersed through the chaos on Li Hao’s orders.

Thus, he needed to bring them back. As for how they’d move around after his people were retrieved, that could be decided later.

Fourth rank was not a weak level. He had Gan Wuliang, Panther, and Number Two next to him. That was three second ranks, and more to come if he successfully convened with Lin Hongyu ’s group.

After large numbers of powerhouses were lured elsewhere, Li Hao’s group could fight whoever they encountered, so long as it wasn’t a major world powerhouse or premier mid world.

A fourth rank traveled extremely quickly. It’d taken him one month to reach Silver Moon’s previous location after leaving Skyward. This time, he could even cultivate for a few days along the way. It still only took him twelve days to make the trip. That meant only seven to eight days had been spent on travel.

Such was the difference between fourth and first rank.

Of course, the difference in travel speed could barely be detected in the chaos. It was so vast that if one took an overhead view, Li Hao would be moving at an ant’s pace to the viewer.

Space could not be ripped through here. Chaos itself was a massive pocket of space, so there was nothing to be torn through. Even a seventh rank could only make fast time through an area. It wasn’t like a minor world where they could rip through space and instantly travel.

That was the internals of a world, whereas the chaos was one entity. There was no up, down, left, right, north, south, east, or west.

That only came to be when there were cultivators and living beings among the chaos. Those directions were labeled on maps.

Li Hao continued to travel north. That was where Red Moon Region could be found.

......

A warship traveled very slowly through the chaos. It could’ve matched the speed of a fourth rank, but right now, it was ponderous and slow. Celestial Pole’s primary body and the Pagoda King didn’t even talk much these days. Celestial Pole could sense the message that his replica was sending him—wait. Continue to wait.

He could sense danger sniffing around them; so could the Pagoda King.

These two exalted emperors were very weak, but having survived the complicated New Martial environment, they were immeasurably craft and shrewd. They weren’t part of the Human King’s direct camp, after all, yet led fruitful lives despite it.

Almost all those who had defied the Human King back in the day were dead. Anyone who’d survived was far more than met the eye. Those who did not directly answer to the Human King and even ascend to the exalted emperor level... were even more extraordinary.

The Pagoda King hadn’t said anything over the past couple of days, but that didn’t mean he was sitting here and waiting to die.

The atmosphere was a bit too heavy.

Celestial Pole could tell that something might be amiss. The supreme’s original plan had been to fish for smaller fish, or see if a sixth rank could be tested. A sixth rank would be good enough since seventh ranks were not cabbages by the side of the street.

In all of the vast Red Moon, there were only five high ranks, including the Red Moon master. But today, Silver Moon kept telling them to wait and refused to convene with them. There wasn’t even any word from the supreme. The document that he’d sent with Celestial Pole to give to the new king of Silver Moon was completely silent.

That indicated that the supreme wanted them to wait as well!

Seventh rank! The Pagoda King quickly determined the situation they were in. We’ve probably caught the eye of a seventh rank.

Among New Martial, the Human King was still journeying outside and searching for his opportunity. He was probably not nearby. If the Ash Emperor showed up, its arrival might result in a thunderous strike from the chaos tribulation since it came with a world.
