Star Odyssey-Chapter 3514: Inevitable Victory
Chapter 3514: Inevitable Victory
No one normally dared to touch Everbright Flame sequence particles. Everyone who cultivated that particular sequence technique enjoyed a tremendous advantage, as no one would get close to their sequence particles out of pure fear. Only Ortusers who could ignore the laws of the universe and could disperse the sequence particles would dare to approach them. However, You Xia had obtained the Spirit Transformation innate gift Murkiness, which made the astral beast into a catalyst for his own sequence particles. With that, even Ortusers were hesitant to offend You Xia.
He was one of the Primal Beastland’s top experts, and he was one of the most formidable Ortusers in the entire Spirit Nidus. He was not an easy opponent.
Despite that, people watched as the Third Boss grabbed hold of the giant serpent formed from the Everbright Flame sequence particles and slammed the entire thing down into Nian Xian’s Flowing Stream. The man completely ignored the threat of the Everbright Flame sequence technique while using it to shatter the Flowing Stream beneath him.
The Everbright Flame slammed into the Flowing Stream with a tremendous impact, and the water blended with the flames before erupting in all directions.
Both You Xia and Nian Xian took a step back in shock as they stared in disbelief.
So brutal?
All of the ground nearby had been destroyed by either fire or water. The battlefield where Lu Yin had fought against Bao Qi had already vanished. Even some of the distant cultivators watching the fights were affected; some were incinerated completely, while others started to burn, only for the flames to be extinguished by the water. They were turned into blackened charcoal, suffering a far worse fate than death.
Within the Wisdom Domain, Mr. Li casually swept a bit of Everbright Flame aside while staring intently into the Umbral Deep. Just how strong was the Third Boss’s physical strength? That move just now was mind boggling.
It was clear that neither Yu Shan nor Bao Qi had actually exposed the limits of the Third Boss’s physical abilities.
Lu Yin casually dropped what remained of the snake formed from Everbright Flame sequence particles. With Extremes Must Be Reversed, the Everbright Flame could not affect him at all.
He suddenly shot forward at the speed of time, heading straight at You Xia.
The beast’s eyes flicker. His Everbright Flame erupted and filled the region, forcing Lu Yin to stop moving at the speed of time.
Moving at the speed of time could bring about miraculous effects when Lu Yin was dealing with peak powerhouses, or even sequence powerhouses, but it lost all effect against Ortusers.
However, Lu Yin had never considered using that move to end the battle. He was simply trying to move faster.
You Xia glared at Lu Yin. His Everbright Flame filled the sky like a pale-blue curtain before suddenly dropping down.
Lu Yin tore through the flames while taking another step forward, which brought him face to face with You Xia.
You Xia could not believe his eyes. This person was genuinely ignoring his Everbright Flame sequence technique. He was not repelling the sequence particles or even avoiding them, but rather simply ignoring their effect entirely. This defied all that You Xia had learned about the Third Boss. Clearly, his physical strength was beyond terrifying.
Boom!
Lu Yin tore through the void as his palm shot at You Xia.
The beast raised his claws to block the attack, but that just caused Lu Yin's hand to strike the beast’s forelegs, which sent the massive creature retreating dozens of steps. At the same time, rain started to fall. Nian Xian had taken action yet again. This time, he was using his Boiling Rain.
Lu Yin frowned as he turned around and shot a frigid glare at the Dukkhan. A tsunami of consciousness was released, and it fell like a descending storm, crashing upon the ground.
Nian Xian was startled, but he had been prepared for this. He raised his arms while shouting, "Suppressing River!"
Water streamed across the sky, shooting upwards to counter the flood of consciousness.
Nian Xian had fought in the war in the Consciousness Megaverse before, as had almost every famous expert in the Spirit Nidus.
How could one of the megaverse’s Dukkhans not be able to resist a consciousness attack?
The Suppressing River struck Lu Yin’s consciousness, and two different colors split the sky overhead. Half was colored by Lu Yin's deep and dark consciousness, while the other was filled with Nian Xian's Suppressing River, which shimmered beautifully. However, the water was quickly dissipating.
Nian Xian ground his teeth. "This guy! He has a Universe-level consciousness! I can't hold on...
"Receding Sea!"
Another thunderous shout erupted, and an even more torrential surge of water shot skyward, engulfing the firmament. In the distance, the Everbright Flame blazed fiercely, and together with the Receding Sea, the two forces split the heavens in two—one side consumed by water, the other by fire.
Beneath the bi-colored sky stood Lu Yin.
His consciousness continued to press down, but Nian Xian managed to restrain the consciousness.
The Dukkhan was gasping for breath. "Jiu Xian, your big brother really is risking everything for your junior! I might not have ever encountered the Thirteen Luminaries while in the Consciousness Megaverse, but here and now in the Spirit Nidus, I’m struggling so much against someone’s consciousness!!"
All the people watching were shrouded by the Receding Sea and Everbright Flame, including the more distant people who were observing from within the Wisdom Domain.
Bit by bit, everyone looked up, terrified that the two powers might fall upon them.
Old Tao and the rest of Lu Yin’s people similarly grew wary.
Nian Xian seemed to possess nearly as much power as Bao Qi had after absorbing the Cauldron Bell. The man was shameless enough to tell tales wherever he went, and he still had not been killed by Jiu Xian. He was a pinnacle expert who had infuriated Jiu Xian to the point of driving her out of the megaverse. If Nian Xian were any weaker, he would have died long ago.
Bao Qi had been able to withstand Lu Yin’s consciousness, but Nian Xian was able to resist it.
As far as Lu Yin was concerned, when it came to pure power, Nian Xian had to be greater than Bao Qi. To begin with, Nian Xian was older, coming from a much earlier generation than Bao Qi.
However, when it came to destructive power, Bao Qi had far surpassed anything that Nian Xian had revealed so far.
Stars revolved in Lu Yin’s inner universe, and his star of consciousness spun faster and faster. A shadow descended behind him as You Xia, wearing his Everbright Flame, wielded his sharp claws as a human would a fist, swinging a punch down at Lu Yin.
Such an attack caught Lu Yin off guard, but he retaliated with his own fist.
Boom!
You Xia was forced back yet again. Much of the Everbright Flame that had covered his body had been extinguished from that exchange, and cracks opened up across his arms and body.
It was shocking. Sure enough, the human's physical power was terrifying. He far surpassed Yu Shan in this aspect.
However, You Xia did not give up, and his other foreleg fell in a repeat of the previous attack.
Lu Yin’s foot snapped up. There was another loud impact, but it immediately became clear that something was wrong. Lu Yin had put the same amount of force into his foot as he had into his fist, but You Xia only retreated half as much as before. His power was rising.
Boom!
Another deafening collision rang out, but this time, You Xia only retreated a third of the distance he had the first time.
Then, loud collisions rang out continuously.
The number of cracks covering You Xia's body multiplied. Blood streamed from them, but the beast’s power also increased.
Additionally, Everbright Flame sequence particles still surged towards Lu Yin at every collision.
This was the only way the Ortuser could hope to defeat Lu Yin. You Xia was using his own impressive physical strength in conjunction with his sequence particles to prevent Lu Yin from resisting the Everbright Flame with his physical abilities alone. You Xia wanted to burn his opponent.

The fight had devolved into a competition of who would fall first.
In the distance, many cultivators from the Primal Beastland stared on in a daze.
The mighty You Xia was one of their domain’s greatest experts, and his presence alone could shake the universes of the Primal Beastland. No one had ever expected the day to come where You Xia would be beaten so miserably.
Everyone watched as You Xia was pushed back again and again. Blood never stopped leaking from his body. The cultivators from the Primal Beastland looked sad and frustrated.
“I remember now! That’s a stacking attack! That’s You Xia’s famous ultimate technique, which allows him to return the power of an attack he receives, stack it, and then release it back!” someone exclaimed.
Others quickly understood. “Ah, no wonder his strength increases slightly every time he clashes with the Third Boss.”
“I’ve heard rumors that this stacking punch can be stacked without limit. Doesn’t that mean that You Xia’s power will eventually surpass the Third Boss’s?”
An elderly voice sighed. “It’s not so simple. Things also depend on whether or not an individual’s body can endure the strain. But more importantly, it depends on who the stacked punch is aimed at. That Third Boss is too strong, which means that You Xia is forced to exert his full strength with every attack. It’s impossible for him to hold back any bit of the stacked power, so every attack he throws just hurts himself. Now, we’ll just have to see how long he can last and how long the Third Boss can endure.”
Endure?
Such a concept meant nothing for Lu Yin, as his strength was limitless. Clashing with You Xia was nothing more than an act he was putting on for the outside world. While Lu Yin did not care about the individuals who had gathered to watch the battles at the Umbral Deep, he needed the High Seraph to believe that Lu Yin was suffering from karmic backlash. Without that, Lu Yin was afraid that the High Seraph would personally attack.
You Xia's manipulation of power was quite impressive, but his time was almost up.
Lu Yin’s arm moved. His power flowed down his arm as he threw a punch.
The moment that Lu Yin finished throwing the punch, You Xia’s pupils shrank. This was very bad. He tried to dodge, but his stacking attack had already built up momentum, and You Xia was forced to retaliate in kind.
There was yet another bang, and the beast’s arm shattered. Lu Yin’s punch continued on to strike You Xia’s body, nearly tearing through it before the massive body crashed down.
Blood flew into the sky, creating a literally bloodstained sky.
You Xia’s massive body collapsed. Blood streamed from his form, while remnants of his Everbright Flame fell from the sky like a blue meteor shower.
Lu Yin was ready to imprison You Xia into the Champions' Stage Purgatory when a golden beam of light flashed by. It arrived in the blink of an eye, moving so fast that it seemed to move at the speed of time. No, that was exactly what was happening.
Lu Yin turned to the side, dodging so that the golden light flashed by him.
A short distance away, a golden bird tore through the void, releasing a light that filled the Umbral Deep.
This golden light did not have a sacred feel to it, like Lu Yin’s Investiture of the Gods, but it was still blinding to look upon. It was bright enough that even Lu Yin felt uncomfortable.
Many of the spectators gasped. "Gol... Golden Roc?"
"Did the Primal Beastland actually send two of their top experts?"
"I understand now! You Xia was paving the way for Golden Roc. Even if the Third Boss is defeated, whoever beats him will not be in any position to protect themselves and win the title of Seraph. The Primal Beastland wants to overcome the Third Boss, as well as seize the title of Seraph, which is why they sent both You Xia and Golden Roc. Naturally, Golden Roc has a much better chance of becoming the new Seraph."
"During the last competition for the position of Seraph, the last step was Bao Qi receiving the Cauldron Bell from the Lord High Seraph. That was what allowed him to defeat Golden Roc. Without that, there would have been no telling who would have won that battle. Now, Golden Roc has returned."
"The Primal Beastland is determined to succeed this time. Emperor Wu is pushing too hard. Isn’t he afraid that the High Seraph might grow wary of his actions?"
"The Primal Beastland is ruthless..."
Of the Spirit Nidus’s seven major powers, the Wisdom Domain was the oldest, and the Gate of Laws enjoyed the greatest amount of hidden strength. However, the Primal Beastland had the greatest number of hidden beast-form Spirit Rebirth experts.
All cultivators in the Spirit Nidus were either human-form Spirit Rebirths or beast-form Spirit Rebirths. Even if beast-form Spirit Rebirth cultivators accounted for a mere ten-percent of the cultivator population, that still led to a terrifying number of powerhouses. Some might have died long ago, but others were still alive.
No one knew just how many ancient beast-form powerhouses still lived in the Primal Beastland.
The most famous such cultivator outside of the domain was Old Salamander. No one knew how old he was, but he predated the High Seraph, despite not being an Immortal.
While Golden Roc was not as old as Old Salamander, he had still lived for a tremendous length of time; he hailed from an even older generation than Yuan Qi’s. He was far, far older than people like Bao Qi or Meng Sang.
The Everbright Flame dissipated from the sky above the Umbral Deep. The battle between Lu Yin’s consciousness and the Receding Sea was still ongoing, but a blinding golden light replaced the Everbright Flame in part of the sky.
Nian Xian had already sensed a familiar aura, though he had not realized that it belonged to Golden Roc. This guy’s desire to become a Seraph was truly impressive.
There was a loud crash as You Xia slammed into the ground. He struggled to even look up at the sky. He had given his all, and yet he had still failed to cause the Third Boss even the slightest injury.
At least You Xia had forced out the man’s physical strength.
The sound of flapping wings intensified as the blinding golden light grew brighter.
Golden Roc’s eyes were like sharp blades, as he stared at Lu Yin. Powerful hatred was hidden in the depths of the bird’s eyes.
Lu Yin could clearly see that hatred. Was it due to the enmity between the Grandverse Manor and the Primal Beastland?
Not a word was said before Golden Roc attacked. Countless golden slashes rained down on Lu Yin, each one sharp enough to instantly kill any typical sequence powerhouse.
