Yue Susu’s eyes were bright as she stared at Zhan Ming. This was exactly the outcome that she had been hoping for.

Zhan Ming then turned to Shan Xian. "Old friend, you should return to the Gate of Laws. Your replacement will protect Yue Ting."

Shan Xian frowned, and Yue Susu objected, "My master cannot leave."

Zhan Ming’s voice dropped low, "Child, do not push things. There are some things that can be dropped, so long as the objective is achieved. Yue Susu was taken aback. "At a time like this?"

Shan Xian frowned, having a bad premonition.
