Chapter 3555: Found

Lu Yin watched Yue Ting beg, finding the scene laughable.

The man had abandoned Yue Susu in order to gain everything that he had desired, and yet, ultimately, Yue Susu would be the one to decide whether her father retained anything at all.

What kind of karma was this? Had it all been predestined by fate?

Lu Yin lifted his head and gazed at the vast starry sky. What role had he played in this karmic cycle? Had he merely been an enforcer? He had acted of his own volition, yet the result was a loop—one that bound Yue Ting to Yue Susu with no escape. What did this mean? Had the heavens taken pity on Yue Susu and simply used him to help her?

Had it all been his own compassion and his own plan, or had it all been nothing more than predestined karma?

Had his own actions already been incorporated into the megaverse’s cycle of karma?

Did the one who dictated karma take pity? Was that the reason why Lu Yin was sitting in his current location?

No one could give Lu Yin any answers. All he could do was search for them himself.

In the ruins of a small courtyard, Lu Yin felt an inexplicable chill regarding karma. While he himself cultivated the power and had developed his Karmic Dao, why did he still fear the power?

"Leave. From this day forward, the Sima Chamber of Commerce belongs to me," Yue Susu’s voice rang out.

Yue Ting stared at his daughter in a daze. "You're... kicking me out?"

Yue Susu took a deep breath, but her eyes remained cold. "That's right."

Yue Ting clenched his fists as he struggled to suppress his sudden rage. "I created the Sima Chamber of Commerce! Without me, it wouldn’t exist! I’m the only one who can find the sequence base materials for the company! You can’t kick me out! I am the Sima Chamber of Commerce!"

Yue Susu shot a cold glare at the man. "You are only yourself. Yes, you have an innate gift that allows you to find the materials needed to make sequence bases, but the Sima Chamber of Commerce is much bigger than just you. It consists of many people."

"Without me, the Sima Chamber of Commerce is worthless!" Yue Ting growled in a low voice.

Yue Susu laughed. It was a bright and satisfied sound. "Father, have you already forgotten? In Buyi City, I negotiated a deal with the Chamber of Commerce, and they will no longer compete with the Sima Chamber of Commerce in regards to sequence base materials. In other words, whenever any of those materials appear, the Sima Chamber of Commerce alone has the rights to buy them.

"Even without you, I can lead the Sima Chamber of Commerce to rise to a level comparable to Yi Shang’s Chamber of Commerce. In the past, the Chamber of Commerce competed with your innate gift. In the future, that will continue to be the case. You can continue to search for sequence base materials on your own, if you like, but there will only be one company in the entire Spirit Nidus that will be allowed to buy those materials: my Sima Chamber of Commerce."

Yue Ting snapped, "You're dreaming! You-"

Suddenly, he took notice of Lu Yin again, and with that, Yue Ting’s tone instantly softened. At that moment, he once again sounded like he was begging. "Susu, stop saying such ridiculous things. The Sima Chamber of Commerce belongs to the two of us, father and daughter. With me, using my innate gift to coordinate with the new permissions of the Sima Chamber of Commerce, we will monopolize all sequence base materials throughout the entire Spirit Nidus! You and I will be equal to anyone! Without me, it will be extremely difficult for the Sima Chamber of Commerce to find any of the correct materials.

"The Daquan Domain’s Chamber of Commerce supervises the five trade associations as well as all of Spirit Nidus's resources. The Sima Chamber of Commerce can't compete with that."

Yue Susu shook her head. "I will work with the trade associations. None of them will refuse to work with my Sima Chamber of Commerce. That won’t be difficult at all."

Yue Ting suppressed his anger. "You can’t kick me out! The Sima Chamber of Commerce is mine! What right do you have to drive me out of it?"

Yue Susu’s reaction remained as cold as ever. "The fact that I was the one who risked my life in Buyi City to negotiate this deal. Would you have dared to do the same?"

Yue Ting stared at Yue Susu in a daze. At this moment, his daughter had become a complete stranger to the man.

Old Tao and the others quietly watched from a distance. It was not uncommon to see a father and daughter turn on each other in the world of cultivators. Had Yue Ting not forced her hand, Yue Susu would have never turned on her father.

Old Tao glanced at Lu Yin. At this moment, even if Yue Susu forgave Yue Ting, it meant nothing at all. The moment the Third Boss had taken Yue Susu away from Buyi City, everything had already been concluded. If Yue Ting was allowed to continue controlling the Sima Chamber of Commerce, all of the Third Boss’s efforts would have been in vain.

Yue Susu could clearly see this, but Yue Ting could not. This was not because he was a fool, but rather because he was too deeply stuck in the situation to see the bigger picture. He cared too much about the Sima Chamber of Commerce. After all, he had been willing to abandon his own daughter for the sake of the company. How could he possibly let it go even when backed into a corner?

"Yue Ting, starting today, we are no longer father and daughter. You are hereby forbidden from attempting to form any sort of company with which to collect sequence base materials. If you attempt to do so, the Sima Chamber of Commerce will not let the matter go," Yue Susu announced with chilling indifference.

A tremor ran through Yue Ting’s body. He was torn between his overwhelming rage and his fear of Lu Yin. If not for Lu Yin’s presence, the man would already have torn the girl’s mouth off with his own hands.

A gust of wind blew through the courtyard. Never before had the wind in the Clearflow Realm felt quite so cold. At that moment, Yue Ting involuntarily shivered.

He tried to stand up, prepared to say something in a last desperate attempt to save himself, but Lu Yin spoke up first. "Publicly announce your withdrawal from the Sima Chamber of Commerce. Yue Susu is now the president of the company."

Yue Ting’s heart sank to the bottom. Lu Yin’s words had sealed the matter forever.

Yue Ting was from the Ascendant Hall, and he possessed an innate gift that was prized by even the High Seraph, as it allowed sequence base materials to be easily located. With the High Seraph behind him, Yue Ting felt that he could threaten anyone, even the Seven Seraphs themselves. He was confident that no one would dare to kill him.

However, in front of Lu Yin, Yue Ting lost all confidence.

This was one of the few individuals who blatantly and publicly disregarded the High Seraph, and he had even gone so far as to curse him. freёweɓnovel.com

All of Yue Ting’s confidence evaporated before such a person.

Soon, the Sima Chamber of Commerce released a press release that shook the Clearflow Realm: Yue Ting had passed the position of company president down to Yue Susu. Yue Ting would also be leaving the Clearflow Realm forever, and he would never return again.

The Clearflow Realm had originally just been an ordinary universe. Only Yue Ting’s rise to power had caused the place to become known. If he left, what would become of the Clearflow Realm? What would become of the Sima Chamber of Commerce?

"How could President Yue Ting leave? What will happen to the Sima Chamber of Commerce?"

"Could the Young Mistress have driven President Yue Ting away?"

"How could that be possible? You and I are both familiar with the Young Mistress’s reputation, and all of us have seen how she treats the company, as well as how devoted she is to President Yue Ting. That’s just impossible."

"Shh! Keep your voice down! I heard from my neighbor's second uncle's distant cousin that there has been a falling out between Yue Ting and Yue Susu, the father and the daughter! Also there’s some connection with the Grandverse Manor."

"What’s the Grandverse Manor?"

"You don't know? Oh, that’s right. Since you’ve never left this planet, you wouldn’t know about that monstrous organization. Let me put it this way: the Grandverse Manor is equal to three Seraphs, maybe even more!"

"Are you insane? Not just equal to one Seraph, but three of them? How is that even possible? Even the Daquan Domain’s Chamber of Commerce only has Seraph Yi Shang."

"Yi Shang is no longer a Seraph."

"Don't be ridiculous! Talk like that will get you in trouble."

"Ahem. Excuse me, but you two are clearly exceptionally talented. I have a jade pendant with me here that’s been passed down as a family heirloom. It allows me to see a celestial maiden when I drift off into my dreams. She speaks to me, but alas, I am dull-witted, or perhaps I am simply unlucky, but I cannot make out what she says. You two are truly impressive and are destined for great things in the future. I, with a heavy heart, am willing to part with this family treasure so that it does not continue to gather dust. I hope that you will be able to use this to transform from a mere mortal to perhaps one day become one of the great Seven Seraphs. All I need is a small bit of support."

"Get lost, liar!"

"You two, I swear that I am no fraud! Every word comes from the bottom of my heart. Don’t leave, you two! You don’t want the pendant? I also have jade stones and bamboo slips! If those won’t do either, then at least take a look at this ancient parchment with mysterious patterns on it! You two- You two..."

...

Far away from the Clearflow Realm, in a remote corner of the megaverse, several cultivators were traveling. Suddenly, they stopped moving, and several of them stared in the same direction. Space was occasionally warping in that direction, as though something had flashed by. However, as soon as they tried to look more closely, there was nothing there.

"Junior Sister, what's wrong?"

"Senior Brother, I think something just passed us by."

"I didn’t see anything. Could you be tired, Junior Sister?"

"Perhaps."

"Then let’s rest for a bit."

"Alright. I am feeling a bit drained. Still, I swear that what I saw looked exactly like a mouth."

"A mouth? A mouth traveling through outer space? Junior Sister, you’re clearly exhausted."

After the people moved along, space warped once more. A mouth briefly appeared, only to immediately vanish and be replaced by an ear. Right after that, it transformed into an eye that rolled about to examine its surroundings.

If Lu Yin were present, he would have immediately recognized Qianmen Feidu.

The man possessed a unique innate gift that allowed him to travel through the universes with invisible portals. With them, he could travel through the void without being seen, and even Lu Yin found it difficult to capture the man. If Qianmen Feidu was given enough time, he could spread his portals across the entire Spirit Nidus, allowing him to monitor anyone at all.

He was the most skilled and secretive source of information for the Phantom Reach.

Ever since he had been released by Lu Yin after the battle in the Roaming South Realm, Qianmen Feidu had been searching for the Wisdom Domain’s hidden heir. News of Qiangmen Feidu’s existence as well as his collaboration with the hidden heir had quickly reached the public heir, Young Master Yu. This had led Young Master Yu to go into seclusion for several days. Eventually, this information had been passed along via Mr. Li.

This incident caused both the hidden heir and Old Yu to understand the significance behind Lu Yin’s decision to release Qianmen Feidu; it was a move that had been calculated to create conflict between the Wisdom Domain’s two heirs, as well as to put greater pressure onto Young Master Yu. The Third Boss clearly had no intention of sparing the Wisdom Domain. They had attempted to use or manipulate him several times before, and Lu Yin was looking to turn the tables on them.

Despite seeing through Lu Yin’s intentions, the Wisdom Domain could not afford to simply abandon Qianmen Feidu. As the hidden heir had expressed, the public heir would inevitably vanish one day. The true ruler of the Wisdom Domain would always be the hidden heir. There was no need for anyone to sow discord, as the two heirs had always been destined opponents. Qianmen Feidu firmly believed this as well, which was why he had ceased to concern himself with Young Master Yu.

Qianmen Feidu had not initially been concerned about helping the Third Boss search for Meng Sang, but it turned out that the Third Boss was not the only one searching for the Seraph; the Wisdom Domain was also seeking him.

Meng Sang had suddenly disappeared, which had perplexed everyone.

The High Seraph had put a stop to the invasion of the Tianyuan Megaverse when the vanguard had made it halfway to the megaverse, and at that same time, Meng Sang had suddenly disappeared. Neither Yi Shang nor Bao Qi had been able to find any trace of their fellow Seraph. The matter was too bizarre, which caused everyone to want to find Meng Sang.

Qianmen Feidu had no desire to get involved in matters that involved the Seven Seraphs and those at that level of power, so he put no real effort into his search. Even so, through some twist of fate, one of his portals was triggered in a corner of a universe, and through it, he caught sight of Seraph Meng Sang.

To confirm his findings, Qianmen Feidu needed to examine the universe. If Meng Sang really was there, then discovering him would be a tremendous service to the Wisdom Domain.

Of course, he did not dare to go in person. No matter what, Meng Sang was a Seraph, and if Qiangmen Feidu was discovered, he would suffer terribly.

When Lu Yin had punched his mouth, Qianmen Feidu had lost his teeth and bled heavily. He had not forgotten that incident. It was safest to search through his portals from a distance so that there would be no danger even if he was discovered.

After all, even the Third Boss had only succeeded in smashing Qianmen Feidu’s mouth, rather than outright killing him.

For several days, portals continued to flicker about the universe as an eye peered through them. Eventually, Qianmen Feidu saw Meng Sang.

The Seraph was a beast-form Spirit Rebirth cultivator, and he was standing in the middle of outer space, staring off into the distance. It was impossible to determine just what he was doing.

Qianmen Feidu was puzzled by the sight and wanted to get closer. Still, after a bit of thought, he held himself back. He had confirmed Meng Sang's presence, which meant that the next step was to report to Old Yu.

Reporting to Lu Yin was not even considered. Qianmen Feidu had long been supported by the Wisdom Domain, which meant that he was truly serving Old Yu.
