Star Ship Girl Era: My Shipgirls Are Too Overpowered-Chapter 11: Let’s Get Your Ships Built
By the time Aurelian finished reading the messages, the dock behind him was alive with quiet motion, machines moving with purpose as Astra’s hull continued to take shape piece by piece.
He then sent his dock details so that when they arrive here, they can meet up before leaving and return a few days later to pick up the completed ships.
He slipped the device away and stood there for a moment, letting the noise of the starport fade into the background as he started planning what to do next.
As for the reactions from the consecutive gold-rarity ship girls, he is not worried, as all four of them come from families that can hold up the sky even if something happens.
Instead, he waited where he was, watching the dock lights pulse, until his device buzzed again, this time with location pings stacking one after another.
Three construction rooms, three floors, all active and still running.
He exhaled once, then turned and headed back toward the construction wing.
Yelena was the first one he reached.
Construction Room 302 sat on the third floor, and unlike the chaos outside some of the lower rooms, this hallway was unnervingly quiet.
Most students had already passed through earlier slots, and the ones left were either waiting nervously or staring at closed doors, as if they might start moving if watched long enough.
The moment Aurelian stepped near the room, he felt it.
Warmth.
It was not the kind of heat that burns; instead, it was a steady, comforting presence that filled the space without overwhelming it.
The construction pod room was open.
Standing before it was a woman with soft chestnut-brown hair that fell to her shoulders in loose waves, her posture relaxed yet attentive, as if she were used to watching over people rather than commanding them.
She wore a practical naval uniform, clean and fitted, with subtle tailoring that followed her curves without drawing attention.
Slim up top, full through the hips and thighs, her figure had an easy, natural balance to it, the kind that felt real instead of imposing.
Her eyes were honey-brown, warm and open, and when she looked at Yelena, there was a sense of closeness and dependence mixed with a sense of duty.
"I was wondering when I would wake up," she said gently, her voice smooth and calm. "And I can say that I am not disappointed with you being my commander."
Yelena blinked, clearly caught off guard, then let out a small breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding.
"I... yeah," she admitted quietly.
The woman smiled, not wide or teasing, just soft. "Elina Hearthvale. I’m yours to command."
She stepped forward without ceremony and placed a hand over her heart, not kneeling or posturing, just standing there, as if this were the most natural bond in the world.
Yelena swallowed, then nodded. "Nice to meet you too, and hope we will conquer the stars together."
Elina’s smile deepened slightly, and the air in the room seemed to settle, as something important had locked into place.
Aurelian watched from the side, said nothing, and gave Yelena a small nod when she glanced at him, which made her smile a little as she lifted her head and walked towards the secret passage the instructor had opened.
Seeing this, Aurelian went to the next triplet.
Mirei’s room was louder.
Construction Room 118 had a small crowd outside when Aurelian arrived, mostly because someone had already seen the light spill out earlier, and word traveled fast. Staff were keeping people back, but the energy was impossible to miss.
Inside, the mood was completely different.
The woman standing near Mirei was much calmer than Mirei; she exuded a feeling like a deep lake that never rippled, no matter how much noise surrounded it.
Her hair was dark ash-brown, long and straight, tied simply at the nape of her neck. Her uniform was clean and minimal, no extra flair, no unnecessary lines.
She was curvy, and the clothes fit her figure, making everything about her feel balanced, from her full hips to her plush thighs to the heavy, natural set of her chest.
She looked like someone you could lean against after a long day and feel better without knowing why.
Her eyes were a soft gray-green, relaxed and steady.
Mirei, for once, wasn’t bouncing or teasing.
She stood there quietly, hands clasped behind her back, trying very hard not to fidget.
"You don’t need to force yourself to be serious," the woman said, her tone even. "Be more natural, or it will just backfire."
Mirei blinked. "Is that so?"
"Yes," she replied without hesitation. "It’s easy to see."
That seemed to break something, because Mirei laughed, short and honest. "Wow. You saw through me in like... ten seconds."
The woman inclined her head slightly. "Sora Lindwyn. I’ll be staying with you."
Mirei grinned, wide and bright. "Good. I can’t wait to introduce you to my sisters and Aurelian."
Sora’s lips curved just a little, not a full smile, but close enough.
Aurelian met Mirei’s eyes from across the room. She gave him a thumbs-up. He returned it and stepped back out, letting the bond settle without interference.
Katsura’s room was the quietest of all.
Construction Room 008 sat on the ground floor, tucked away near the end of the corridor. There were no crowds.
No raised voices. Just one staff member standing off to the side, looking slightly dazed.
Inside, the air felt lighter, as if something that had been weighing them down had been lifted; it might be the stress of their awakening or the sadness of finding out they cannot become commanders.
And the cause of all of this was a woman standing in front of Katsura with auburn hair that fell in soft, slightly messy waves, like she hadn’t bothered fixing it too much.
She looked younger than the others, with a petite figure that could rival Katsura’s, but her curves were unmistakable: deep at the waist, wide at the hips, full through the chest, in a way that contrasted sharply with her bright, cheerful expression.
Her eyes were amber-brown, lively and expressive, and the moment Katsura stepped closer, she smiled like she’d been waiting all day just for that.
"Finally, I can leave that dark place," she said brightly. "And from the looks of it, my sisters seem to have awakened as well."
Katsura froze.
Then, very slowly, she relaxed.
"I... Welcome, I guess?" Katsura said honestly.
"Oh?" the woman replied instantly. "So my commander is the shy and innocent type?"
She stepped forward, hands clasped behind her back, leaning in just slightly like she was sharing a secret. "I’m Mila Rowan. And I think we’re going to get along really well."
Katsura studied her for a long moment, then nodded once. "I think so too."
Mila beamed.
Aurelian watched that one with particular interest, because he could feel Katsura opening up a bit just from their first meeting, which was a surprise but a good thing, as having a close bond between commanders and ship girls is a major thing.
All three bonds had formed cleanly.
Gold responses.
All of them.
He regrouped with the triplets shortly after, the four of them standing together in a quiet stretch of the hallway, each girl with her shipgirl nearby.
Different personalities. Different presences.
But all of them are solid.
Mirei looked between the three shipgirls, then at Aurelian, then burst out laughing. "Okay. Yeah, everyone in the academy is going to hate us."
Yelena let out a small smile. Katsura said nothing, but her grip on Mila’s sleeve said everything.
Aurelian looked at the group and nodded once.
"Let’s get your ships built," he said simply as he led them to the staff that was handling the dock area arrangement.
