Stars In His Eyes-Chapter 1705: Her Whole World Is Only You 38
No matter the temperature outside, Ding Long’s palm was scorching hot.
Ding Jinshi could feel it, the grip of Ding Long was becoming tighter and tighter. She looked up at him and suddenly met his deep, dark eyes. It seemed as if she saw a smile in his eyes, as gentle as the March spring breeze.
Ding Jinshi was momentarily lost in thought. Was it that she was too deeply immersed in her role, or was his acting too real?
Why could she actually see something called joy in his eyes?
After serving the tea, Ding Long carried Ding Jinshi out of the Ding Family’s courtyard straight to the car. Firecrackers followed the wedding procession all the way, and when there were children watching, candy was scattered along the way. Ding Jinshi watched through the car window, seeing pedestrians looking at her, forgetting to move forward. At this moment, she finally realized, so this is what getting married is.
"What are you looking at?" Since getting in the car, Ding Long hadn’t let go of Ding Jinshi’s hand. Seeing Ding Jinshi looking with great interest out the car window, he leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear.
Ding Jinshi turned her head and smiled at him, asking, "Are you nervous?"
Ding Long’s chest was obviously trembling slightly; he was laughing, genuinely laughing.
"Nervous, what about you?" Ding Long asked back.
"I was fine at first, but when I was upstairs, my dad said a lot to me, and as he spoke, I started to get nervous. It feels as if it’s real." The driver of the main wedding car was Ding Long’s assistant, but worried about being overheard, Ding Jinshi deliberately lowered her voice when answering.
"What do you mean it feels as if it’s real? This is already real. This is our wedding." Ding Long played a word game with Ding Jinshi.
Ding Jinshi pouted, opened her mouth but didn’t know how to refute, so she just glanced at Ding Long, rolled her eyes, and looked away.
At eleven o’clock, the wedding car arrived at the hotel where the wedding banquet was to be held. Some guests had already arrived, and Ding Long’s parents and relatives were all there. Seeing the newlyweds get off the wedding car, everyone looked at them attentively.
Many people present had seen Ding Jinshi and Ding Long’s engagement attire before. At that time, Ding Jinshi was already stunningly beautiful, but today, dressed in a red wedding dress and walking closer with Ding Long, a warm breeze swayed her bright red skirt as if clusters of red peonies were blooming at her feet. Her steps were slow, her brows and eyes smiling, and the sun hanging high in the sky was not as dazzling as the smiles of this newlywed couple.
At eleven thirty, the wedding banquet officially began. Although there was no Western wedding march as background music, the banquet hall was filled with red, making anyone who saw it feel joyful and festive.
In front of the guests, Ding Jinshi served tea to her parents-in-law, changed her address to call them mom and dad, received red envelopes, and then had to go to the dressing room in the back to change out of this heavy red wedding dress.
The wedding dress she wore was specially custom-made by Ding’s father, somewhat restoring the ancient wedding dress, so it was layered upon layer, but fortunately, the weather was cool, making it warm for now.
The wedding dress was undoubtedly incredibly beautiful and enviable, but wearing it was not convenient for moving, so after starting the banquet and serving tea, Ding Jinshi had to change into a gown to go around to each table to toast with the guests.
"I’ll just go with the makeup artist, you all have been busy all morning, so have something to eat first to fill your stomachs," Ding Jinshi said to Chen Shan and Zhou Chenyue, then looked at Ding Long, "You entertain the guests outside with mom and dad first, I’ll go in and change my clothes and come out."
