Chapter 596 - 596

At that moment, the brilliance that lit up the entire universe suddenly contracted, converging toward a single point.

Asgard.

An infinite radiance now gathered in Frigga's womb, and in the next instant, a baby cloaked in divine light—hazy and indistinct, as if he were light itself—descended into the world.

Faintly, it seemed that the entire universe began to echo with praises and hymns.

"Great Light..."

"Master of Ten Billion Rays..."

"O Creator..."

These voices resonated not only in Frigga's and Odin's ears, nor just among the people of Asgard—but throughout all of existence, every sentient being in the universe paused in stunned reverence.

Suspended in the palace air, Syd hovered, cloaked in a boundless glow, utterly indescribable.

The next moment, Odin burst into the palace and froze at the sight.

"Is this... my child?"

He murmured in a daze, instinctively reaching out with his senses.

And in that moment, his expression turned to pure shock.

What he sensed was not a frail newborn—but boundless light... an entire universe.

The immense energy concentrated within the child frightened him just by its presence. He staggered a step back.

"How... how can he be this powerful?!"

The very presence of this seemingly fragile child filled Odin with suffocating fear and disbelief.

Before he could gather his thoughts, the infant—shrouded in immaculate brilliance—gently descended to the ground.

Under the astonished gazes of Odin, Frigga, and the attending maids, the baby began to grow.

His body elongated, and his facial features matured from soft and childish to sharp and dignified.

In mere moments, he transformed from a newborn into a radiant youth of seventeen or eighteen.

The holy light surrounding him solidified into a pure-white divine robe, faintly glowing with every movement.

As the brilliance gradually retracted, his full appearance was revealed.

He was flawless.

So perfect, it was as though the universe had crafted him as its most refined creation.

A radiance of warmth, majesty, and divine mystery cloaked his entire being, declaring him the most exalted existence in the cosmos.

The moment Odin and the others laid eyes on him, they were overwhelmed with an inexplicable joy.

Joy that surged from the soul.

Irresistible and pure.

Fortunately, this strange emotional influence faded quickly—otherwise, even Odin would have feared for his sanity.

Syd opened his golden eyes, gazing calmly at the stunned crowd before him.

Then, in a voice as mysterious and profound as universal truth itself, he declared:

"I am the God of Light across the Cosmos—Balder."

His voice echoed across the palace...

And not only there.

It rang across the entire universe.

Every living being—mortal and divine—heard the celestial proclamation.

Those who heard it froze.

Regardless of species or language, all instantly understood the meaning, even if the words weren't in their native tongue.

And then—shock, awe, and uproar.

"God of Light?"

"Where did this deity come from?"

"Was that earlier cosmic anomaly because of him?"

"How terrifying... When did the universe gain such a powerful god?!"

Across the cosmos, every technological power and pantheon began fervently discussing what had just occurred.

Meanwhile...

On Earth, still in its medieval age, humans were utterly stunned.

"There really are gods?"

"Balder... Is that the name of this god?"

"God of Light?"

"Is this... the Second Coming?"

In this age of fervent belief, countless followers in the West were overcome with joy and awe.

It was common knowledge that the true name of "the Lord" was a mystery—every name across religious texts was a stand-in.

Now, they began to wonder if this Balder, the God of Light, was in fact the one true God.

While humans on Earth reeled in disbelief, back in Asgard, Odin stared blankly at the being before him.

This child, this impossibly perfect being who radiated divinity from every pore—was supposed to be his son?

And yet, deep within his heart, a sense of unease began to bloom.

This divine being was far too powerful.

Just brushing against his energy earlier had sent shudders down Odin's spine.

Even as his father, Odin couldn't help but feel dread.

Just then, a weary voice broke the silence.

"Balder?"

Frigga, pale and drenched in sweat, called out weakly.

Syd turned his golden gaze toward her. Seeing her state, he gently raised his right hand.

In an instant, the power of creation surged forth.

Frigga felt a mysterious force flow through her, and all fatigue, all discomfort vanished in an instant. It was as if her very essence had been restored.

She blinked in disbelief.

"What kind of power is this...?"

Odin, too, had sensed what happened. His face only grew more shocked and tense.

Syd ignored their reactions, his gaze drifting beyond the palace to the entirety of Asgard.

"How is this universe different from Earth-616? What unique features does it hold?"

Curiosity stirred within him.

He was just about to activate his abstract conceptual form to begin analyzing the universe...

When the sound of footsteps echoed from outside.

Syd's gaze easily pierced through the palace walls, seeing the group rushing toward them.

Heimdall, a younger Thor... and others.

Odin and Frigga also turned to look.

Soon, Heimdall and the group arrived outside the palace. With Odin's permission, they stepped inside.

Their eyes immediately scanned the grand hall.

They spotted King Odin, of course.

They also saw Queen Frigga, standing neatly, no trace of childbirth left on her.

But what caught all of their attention—what utterly stunned them—was a stranger.

He wore a robe of immaculate white that glowed faintly, his very body emanating radiant light.

His features were strikingly handsome.

And his presence...

Unfathomable.

Who... was this being?
