Li Qing felt somewhat uncomfortable, being looked at by an animal like this, what was that about, even if he was ordinary, he was still a person.

Stepping forward to take a closer look, he unmistakably saw the owl holding a roll of brown paper, tied with a black ribbon in a decorative knot.

Li Qing was momentarily baffled, and after confirming that it just wanted to give him the roll of brown paper it was carrying, he carefully pushed open the window in one breath.

Flap flap flap!!

He had forgotten that the window of his place opened outward, watching as the owl flapped its wings frantically, screeching as it fell downward.

"Co~o~o~~"

Li Qing, with quick reflexes, caught the brown scroll and then leaned out to look.

It was already late at night, the surroundings were pitch black, with only a few dim streetlights flickering in the distance, and no trace of the owl.

If it weren't for the brown scroll in his hand, Li Qing would have thought it was all an illusion.

Staring at the brown scroll in his hand, he suddenly realized that this must be the acceptance letter Zhuang Xu mentioned.

"Is it real?!"

Li Qing, full of doubt, opened the paper, which looked quite ancient, like a parchment scroll.

Removing the ribbon and unfolding the parchment, the paper was covered with countless twisted patterns, looking somewhat unnerving.

Frowning, he rotated the parchment from side to side, finding nothing unusual, he was about to toss it aside when his hand abruptly halted, and his eyes bulged wide.

The ghostly symbols at the top of the scroll began twisting like countless black maggots, finally transforming into clearly recognizable Chinese characters.

"Holy crap, holy crap?! Holy crap!!!!!!"

Li Qing exclaimed repeatedly, finally gazing at the contents inside with disbelief and uncertainty.

"Is it real?!"

Li Qing felt both excited and thrilled. After thirty plain and uneventful years, he never expected an opportunity like this on his birthday, indeed a turning point in life as Zhuang Xu mentioned.

He felt somewhat apologetic for his attitude when Zhuang Xu called earlier, and just as he was about to call back, he noticed no record of the call existed. The most recent call log was from his boss two days prior.

Is it truly magic?

Witnessing this bizarre scene, Li Qing hurriedly checked the call recording log, but still found no trace of the call.

"Holy crap..."

Li Qing had lost count of how many times he uttered "holy crap," the day's events were almost shattering his worldview. However, having been nurtured by countless online novels, he quickly adjusted his mindset, then glanced at the parchment sprawled on the desk.

So a click would reveal the books.

Li Qing lightly touched "Magic Origin" on the book list, and saw the text on the parchment rapidly shifting and transforming; the black lines wiggled like black tadpoles.

Within just a few seconds, the old-looking, leather-like scroll's content was no longer that of an acceptance letter but appeared as a display akin to an e-book.

Upon first opening, there were basic operating prompts. If Li Qing didn't know current flexible screen technology hadn't reached this level yet, he would've thought it was those idle troublemakers trying to ensnare others.

After smoothing the crumpled material of unknown origin flat on the table, he calmed his excited heart, went to the bathroom, used cold water to wash his face, and after freshening up, sat upright at the table to read carefully.

"Magic exists in all things of the world, but originates from God. It is a discipline recorded from a God's perspective, surpassing the mundane, who knew the rules of the Cosmos, and conveyed in some manner. When God dozes, intelligent life acquired the knowledge of magic and humans eventually learned, used, and delved deeper into its origins.

Much like primordial light—stars in the Cosmos ceaselessly emit boundless light, heat, vitality, destruction, yet how did these form, and how can we wield them...""

Reading until past three in the morning, Li Qing reluctantly placed the parchment scroll aside, rubbing his dry eyes.

He had only read over twenty pages of "Magic Origin," with a remaining eleven hundred and twenty pages. From what he gathered initially, magic isn't like in online novels where there are countless free elements in the world or energy that is refined into magic power to cast spells.

He thought mages were more like a system where one, discarding external tools, uses their Spirit to explore the natural world.

This book, "Magic Origin," explains all natural physical phenomena worldwide and expounds from a magical perspective on how they function and form.

Much like light, speaking scientifically, it broadly defines electromagnetic radiation from the sun's entire spectrum we see as sunlight, filtered through Earth's atmosphere.

Yet how is this light formed? Generally, it results from hydrogen turning into helium in stars; probing further, why do stars engage in constant fusion reactions internally...

In the viewpoint of magic, such occurs due to energy density continuously decaying, and extremely high-quality energy levels perpetually diminishing, thereby releasing immense energy.

The scientific side also holds such notions where energy levels drop, energy is consistently released.

Magic and science, both in their exploration of the Cosmos, exhibit many similar ideas.
