Li Qing felt a bit unsettled, what was it for an animal to look at him like that, even if he was ordinary, he was still a person.

He stepped forward and saw the owl holding a roll of brown paper, tied with a black ribbon in a bow.

If it weren't for the brown paper roll in his hand, Li Qing would have thought that it was all an illusion.

Looking at the brown paper in his hand, he suddenly realized that it was probably the admission notice Zhuang Xu mentioned.

"Is it real?!"

Li Qing skeptically opened the paper that looked rather old, like a parchment scroll.

He pulled away the ribbon, spread the parchment, and saw countless twisted patterns on it, looking somewhat unsettling.

Frowning, he flipped the parchment over, and after making sure there was nothing unusual about it, he planned to toss it aside when his hand suddenly stopped, eyes wide open in shock.

The patterns at the top of the scroll started twisting like countless black maggots, finally transforming into Chinese characters he could clearly see.

"Whoa, whoa?! Whoa!!!!"

Li Qing exclaimed several times in awe, then, with a mixture of doubt and curiosity, started looking at the contents inside.

"Dear Mr. Li Qing:

We are pleased to inform you that due to your lifelong innocence and lack of profound physical interaction with females for thirty years, after extensive selection and review, you have been granted enrollment at the Gray Magic Academy. Attached to this letter are the books and basic Meditation Method content you need to study before entering. Please familiarize yourself with the book contents and meditation basics, as there will be an entrance test.

The academy will officially open on December 31st. Please keep the admission notice safe, as it is your entry pass and proof of admission. On behalf of all the tutors at Gray Magic Academy, I welcome you.

"Is it real?!"

Li Qing felt both excited and thrilled, his mundane thirty years unexpectedly leading to such an opportunity on his birthday; it was, as Zhuang Xu said, indeed a turning point in life.

He felt slightly apologetic for his attitude during Zhuang Xu's earlier phone call, and was just about to reach for the phone to call back when he noticed that there was no record of any call, with the most recent call being from his boss two days ago.

Was it really magic?

Encountering this strange occurrence, Li Qing quickly opened the call recording records, yet still couldn't find any recording of the call.

"Whoa..."

Li Qing couldn't recall how many times he'd said "whoa" today, as the events were about to shatter his worldview; but having been exposed to countless fantasy novels online, he quickly adjusted his mentality, then looked at the parchment scroll spread out on the table.

So clicking could reveal the books.

Li Qing reached out and lightly tapped on "Magic Origin", and instantly saw the characters on the top of the parchment rapidly change and rearrange, the black lines wriggling like little black tadpoles.

In less than a dozen seconds, the content at the top of the seemingly old leather scroll was no longer the admission notice, but a display similar to an e-book.

Upon first opening, there were even introductory operational tips. If Li Qing didn't know that the current flexible screen technology was far from achieving such a degree, he would have thought it was those bored folks deliberately fooling others.

He laid the crumpled parchment, made from unknown materials, flat on the table and calmed his excited nerves, went to the bathroom for a toilet break, washed his face with cold water to clear his mind, then sat upright at the table to read closely.

"Magic exists in all things of the world, originating from the Gods, who observe the Cosmos from a perspective beyond the mundane, recognizing the rules of the universe and recording them, passing them down as a discipline through some means of carrying. When the Gods took a nap, the knowledge carrying magic was discovered by sentient beings, and eventually acquired by humans, leading to learning, usage, thorough research, and understanding of the origin.

Like the original light, the stars in the Cosmos eternally emit endless light and heat, life, destruction, yet how are these formed, and how should we utilize them..."

Reading until past 3 AM, Li Qing rubbed his dry eyes and reluctantly placed the parchment scroll aside.

He had only read over twenty pages of "Magic Origin", with a remaining one thousand three hundred and twenty pages, yet from this initial understanding, magic wasn't as depicted in internet novels, where there were countless free-floating elements in the world, or energies extracted to form magic power to be subsequently used for magic.

To him, mages appeared more like those who use their own Spirit, forsaking external tools and exploring the natural things through their own meditations entirely.

This "Magic Origin" book seemed to describe all natural physical phenomena in the world, explaining how they operate and are constituted from a magical perspective.

Just like light, from a scientific standpoint, the broad definition refers to the electromagnetic radiation encompassing all solar spectra, with the daylight we commonly see being filtered through Earth's atmosphere.

Yet how is this light formed, generally attributed to the fusion of hydrogen into helium within stars, diving deeper why the internal fusion reactions occur continuously within stars...

From the perspective of magic, it's because the energy density continuously decays, the high-quality energy level continuously depletes, releasing substantial energy.

The scientific perspective also holds the view that upon the drop in energy level, energy is continuously released.

Magic and science both have many commonalities in exploring the Cosmos.
