Chapter 95: It’s so fun

What’s the dilemma right now?

Using the bow in his hand would require Kyle to use Genesis. And if he did that, if he actively utilized Genesis to create arrows, his Golden Limb would instantly pull back.

And when that happened... he would be attacked by tens upon tens of monsters at once.

That was why he needed a distraction.

He knew his Golden Limb was the cause of such a massive following. But once it was gone, the most delicious prey for them to feast upon would be—

"I will fucking kill you all!!" the moustached man roared as the barrier finally began to crumble.

In a rage at being used as bait, he charged himself with Genesis. His muscles bulged, his arms flexed and tore through his sleeves, and his entire presence surged far beyond what it had been before.

’This is my chance,’ Kyle muttered as many of the majins shifted their focus to the other party.

He finally told the system, "Activate God’s Eye."

[Tharos looks at you with concern.]

Kyle faintly smiled but didn’t respond.

The system confirmed his selection. Then, the golden dome of protection was stripped away.

SQUELCH

Kyle didn’t panic. He stepped forward and drove his knife into the first monster in his path.

The bunny was instantly impaled and burst into blood.

The sudden absence of Genesis caught the majins off guard, but many of them still turned toward Kyle.

’I see you.’ Kyle stepped back, narrowly dodging the skeletal arm of a majin. From behind, something lunged at him.

He slid to the left, letting the ape stumble forward.

In the same motion, he pulled the string and released two detroits at it.

BOOOOM

The arrows struck the ape’s small head and detonated. Any other part of its body might have endured, but its head exploded into fragments.

Kyle gained a sliver of space from the chaos. Not much, but enough to breathe and refocus.

He could see the battlefield now, not as a participant, but as an observer.

It was as if he were a deity looking down from above. Everything moved in slow motion. Every monster charging from every direction was clear to him. He could calculate exactly how long it would take for them to reach him.

And that was why he could fight.

"Fuuu..." He exhaled deeply, pulled the string, and aimed high above.

The arrow flew, drawing the attention of a charging imp.

It followed the arrow with its eyes, completely missing the one coming for its own body.

BOOOOM

The second arrow struck, and the imp exploded.

Kyle pivoted on his heel, charged another detroit, and aimed at the enraged bull.

The bull huffed, its hooves tearing through the soil as it charged forward.

Aiming for its skull was easy. But the true weak point lay elsewhere.

Kyle released the arrow. It landed just before the monster’s feet.

BOOOOOM

The ground ruptured. The bull was forced to halt, its body flipping over the fractured earth and rolling toward Kyle.

Another arrow was already nocked. As the beast rolled, Kyle precisely fired beneath its left leg.

Another explosion. Another beast dead.

"KHRUAAH!"

Kyle tilted his head. A fist tore through the space where it had been a moment earlier.

He caught the majin’s wrist, released Aquilla, and drew his blade.

The tip glowed gold as he slashed in a horizontal arc.

The majin barely avoided it, snapping its head back in a motion that mirrored Kyle’s own.

But then, something unexpected happened.

"Khriuk?!"

The majin groaned as a golden line appeared at the base of its neck.

The last thing it saw was the human winking at it, before its body burned into fragments.

Kyle didn’t stop moving.

The moment the majin turned to ash, he stepped through where it had stood, already drawing the string again.

Two arrows formed mid-pull, thin streams of Genesis threading into shape just long enough to exist.

Release.

BOOM

BOOM

He didn’t even watch them land. No time to marvel his aim.

A shriek rose from the right. Kyle dipped low, letting a claw skim past his hair, and drove his knife upward into the creature’s jaw.

He twisted, ripped it free, and kicked the body off the blade before it could weigh him down.

His foot landed. He pivoted.

Another arrow.

This one wasn’t for a kill.

He fired it into the ground between a cluster of rushing beasts.

BOOOOM

Dirt, blood, and broken limbs blasted upward, cutting their momentum. Not dead, but stalled.

That was enough.

Kyle dashed through the gap they created.

A tail whipped toward his ribs.

He dropped flat, slid under it, and as his body skimmed the dirt, he loosed an arrow point-blank into the monster’s exposed underbelly.

BOOM

The recoil pushed him back to his feet.

No pause, even though he felt somewhere in his lower thigh was bleeding.

Three more signatures entered his range from behind.

’I’m late even by half a second.’

He turned, but instead of firing, he threw the knife.

It spun once—

—and buried itself into the eye of the leading creature.

Kyle stepped past its collapsing body, grabbed the handle mid-fall, and yanked it free in one clean motion.

The other two were already on him.

Too close for the bow.

Nice~nice.

He stepped into them instead of retreating.

A shoulder check threw the first off balance. The second swung wide. Kyle ducked inside its reach, dragged the blade across its thigh to cripple its stance, then snapped his head forward.

A clean, brutal headbutt.

The creature staggered.

Gah, it hurts him too.

Kyle twisted his body, reclaimed distance in a single step, and—

TWANG

An arrow pierced straight through its skull.

The first one recovered, roaring.

Kyle didn’t face it.

He ran.

The beast chased.

Exactly as intended.

He glanced left.

A dense cluster.

He angled his run slightly, just enough.

The creature behind him lunged.

Kyle sidestepped at the last possible moment.

The monster crashed straight into the group—

—and Kyle fired.

This time, not launching instantly but gathering Genesis till it grew unstable. Result—

BOOOOOOM

The explosion swallowed all of them.

Heat brushed his back, but he was already moving again.

His breathing stayed steady.

His eyes didn’t.

They flickered constantly, mapping and measuring their movements.

Aerial threat.

Kyle looked up.

Three winged imps diving.

He didn’t slow to defed.

He fired upward once—

then again—

then a third time, slightly off.

The first two arrows met the imps mid-dive.

BOOM

BOOM

The third flew past them.

For a second, it looked like a miss.

Then—

BOOM

It detonated behind them, the shockwave slamming their falling bodies straight into the ground.

Kyle stepped over one without breaking stride and drove his knife down through its spine as he passed.

No wasted motion.

But yeah, kinds disgusting.

"Hmm?"

A heavy rumble rang in his ear.

A massive fist cratered the ground where he had stood.

Kyle moved along its arm instead of away from it, running up the length for two steps before pushing off its shoulder.

Mid-air—

draw.

A single arrow formed.

He didn’t aim for the head.

He aimed for the joint.

Release.

BOOM

The arm tore apart at the elbow.

The giant roared, stumbling.

Kyle landed behind it.

[Host, you are using way too much Genesis!]

[Ethara looks at your impressed gaze.]

[Quest: Take down the giant in a single bow.]

[Reward: 50SP]

Kyle grinned and locked the arrow.

Unstable Genesis gathering, his sleeves began to tear up and muscle coiled in tension.

But beneath the mask was a smile.

Fighting was fun.

A/N:- I hope following the fight wasn’t difficult. This is my first time writing a main character using bow and arrow.
