Chapter 1750: Chapter 1749: Moonlight Wheel · Second Form

The spinning light wheel illuminated Green Lake on the night of the lunar eclipse, lighting up everyone’s face. The massive spirit rotated with the light wheel, slicing through space, and just looking at the shining moonlight felt as if one’s entire being was being split apart.

Meanwhile, the position where the Thirteen-Ring Diviner cast his divination cards into the water finally revealed the full manifestation of the black shadow in the water.

The pitch-black shadowy bone giant rose from the lake, roaring with its four large hands full of bone spurs raised high. Laplace Klein Howard, who hadn’t intended to strike again at this moment, solemnly looked at the enormous light wheel in the sky that had replaced the moon, then took out a glass bottle containing a small black door and threw it at the shadow giant.

The giant’s eyes opened, simultaneously forcing its four fists towards the sky.

"Spatial Bombardment: Titan’s Force!"

Under the night sky, Shard opened his eyes, recalling the moment he bore the sun and red moon, recalling the technique of gigantification energy attack taught by Iluna and Sister Delphine, he lifted the spinning light wheel and threw it downward:

"Moonlight Wheel: Second Form!"

The light wheel rotated vertically, drawing out a bright silver arc in the air. Meanwhile, behind the shadow giant, a gigantic door appeared out of nowhere, opening a crack, and countless small pitch-black hands floated towards the sky alongside the giant’s four fists.

There was no standoff between the two sides, as the massive spinning light wheel first sliced through two airborne bone dragons, then swiftly cleaved the shadow giant in two, and finally struck the spiral-patterned pitch-black door, silently annihilating together with it.

The air shockwave swept across both banks of Green Lake, and amidst a sky full of silver light particles, the small bottle containing the door fell from the sky, caught by Laplace Klein Howard, whom Shard also recognized as containing the "Door in the Bottle" mentioned by Sister Delphine and Priest Augustus.

His entire body emitted a silver glow, and he slowly descended towards the water surface to stand beside Audrey. A triple large round emblem composed of the blessings "Holy Silver Radiance," "Saffron Guidance," and "Blood Red Blade" unfolded over the water, making even the witches feel the mighty power of the moon.

The "White Dove Messenger" Mr. Minsk Todels from the Peace Church and the "Nightmare Witch" Miss Maria from the Church of Nature also flew to the lake surface, standing not far from the pair in opposition to the Thirteen-Ring Diviner.

The latter did not retreat but lowered his gaze to the stack of divination cards in his hand. Simultaneously, from the mist emerged a demon tossing black cubes and a tentacle man who shared the Edwards lineage.

Four were confronting three, but it wasn’t over yet. Among the sound of shattered mirrors, the "Mirror Keeper" Ail Harken from the Mirror Association, who had vanished, appeared on the lake surface, also opposing the Thirteen-Ring Diviner near Shard and Megan.

Laplace Klein Howard frowned slightly, as the dense black shadows in the fog behind him were approaching, but at that moment, three dazzling points of light appeared on the horizon.

In the dark night of the eclipse, crimson points of light fell on the lake surface, revealing the figure of Miss Danester, the librarian of Saint Byrons, and the Thirteen-Ring "Red Moon Witch"; golden points of light fell on the lake surface, revealing the figure of the Twelve-Ring Balance Witch with striking red hair; white points of light fell on the lake surface, revealing the figure of Mr. Miller Lynch, Vice President of the Prophet’s Society and Twelve-Ring Diviner.

Not only here at the meeting, including Shard and Audrey, but more reinforcements were rushing to the lake shore, illuminated by the light of the divine arts ritual.

Laplace Klein Howard shook his head slightly, his left hand shaking the glass bottle with the small black door inside, and his right hand prepared to scatter the stack of divination cards into the air.

But suddenly, a huge mermaid shadow flashed under the lake surface where everyone was standing. Everyone paused in their actions, looking with uncertainty at the shadow that smoothly vanished into the lake.

There was no elemental reaction, no trace was felt, as if it was simply a shadow swimming by. And the demon tossing black cubes behind Laplace Klein Howard immediately whispered a few words to the diviner, so the ancestor of Edwards, who was questioned whether he was still human, finally nodded slightly:

"If that’s the case, this first clash counts as my loss. These test subjects created by my experiments need not be taken out to embarrass themselves."

He put the thick stack of divination cards back into his pocket: 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"In my descendants, there have indeed emerged outstanding figures. Remember, to stop me, have all Edwards descendants come. I’ll be waiting for them on the island."

He turned to walk into the dense mist but was stopped by Mr. Lynch from the Prophet’s Society:

"Howard, are you aware of what you’re doing?"

He questioned his former association senior.

"Yes, I have seen fate. Whether it was back then or now, only I have seen fate and truth."

Laplace Klein Howard nodded seriously and disappeared into the fog. No one stopped him; the events of tonight had developed to a surprising extent, and Laplace Klein Howard wasn’t bound by the Thirteen Rings. He had abandoned his human status, transcending the Thirteen Rings, and all plans had to be recalibrated.

That mysterious island and the expanded chaotic space held even greater secrets.

The "Mirror Keeper" nodded to Shard and silently vanished on the water surface. Shard glanced at Miss Galina, then grabbed Megan’s hand and stepped forward, using the "Divinity Overflow" phase’s enhanced spellcasting ability, "Lagre’s Leap," to break through the 20-meter limit, leaving the lake surface.

"Just like that?"

The red-haired witch, with her face concealed, regretfully asked before nodding to Miss Danester and Mr. Lynch from the Prophet’s Society who had accompanied her. She then transformed into a glimmering light and flew away into the distance, with no one stopping her, as it was clear the witch was here to help tonight.

The Circle Sorcerers from the Church, the Prophet’s Society, and the Academy met at the lake. After brief pleasantries and thanks, Miss Maria, the "Nightmare Witch" with a holy emblem on her chest, said to Miss Danester:

"Your appearance was truly timely. Without all of us here earlier, it’s doubtful whether we could have stopped Laplace Klein Howard."

"Not doubtful, absolutely not. He’s no longer human. Moreover, it wasn’t us who stopped him; it was probably that mermaid shadow..."

Mr. Lynch from the Prophet’s Society spoke seriously, perhaps only he vaguely understood what that shadow represented, more terrifying than anything tonight:

"I also have a feeling that Laplace Klein Howard wasn’t trying to kill us or expand the white mist’s area. It seemed more like he was trying to draw us out, draw out his descendants."

Miss Danester flicked her long red hair:

"We can discuss these things later. Speaking of which, I know you want to ask why I’m here. I perceived the anomaly of the Night of the Eclipse, knowing the God Summoner would appear, so I came to check the situation. Although it was against protocol to show up here without notifying the Church, these are minor matters, right?"

She asked with a smile, and the others nodded. Compared to earlier events, Miss Danester’s timely arrival and help were indeed minor issues.

"Was that the God Summoner just now?"

Mr. Minsk Toders, the "White Dove Messenger" who had never seen the "God Summoner," asked curiously, and the others nodded.

"That gigantified Silvermoon Halo—who other than the God Summoner could use it in the Material World?"

Everyone agreed on this point, even though the "God Summoner" was rumored to have connections with evil gods and objects, he was acknowledged as the strongest modern Circle Sorcerer in the Moon System. At this point, it was essentially confirmed that he was the first demigod in the history of the Sixth Era.

After all, according to the Guardian of the Earth from Randall Valley’s communication with the Church, the Chosen of the Earth admitted he couldn’t defeat the "God Summoner."

Looking up at the dark night sky, Mr. Lynch, the Vice President of the Prophet’s Society, had a sudden inspiration:

"Since we encountered him, why not perform a divination on him now? The Night of the Eclipse might yield unexpected results."

"In such a chaotic environment, is it possible?"

Miss Maria, the Nightmare Witch, asked.

"We’ll only know by trying."

Mr. Lynch took a handful of lake water, transforming it into a glowing orb. He looked at the "Crystal Ball" intently, soon shaking his head regretfully:

"Once again, very strange results. According to the divination, apart from obsessive-compulsive disorder, the ’God Summoner’ also has severe narcissistic personality disorder. But, didn’t the Mirror Keeper just mention that the God Summoner is a descendant of the Edwards? That should be more accurate than the current divination, right?"

"As expected of such results... The Academy has other matters to deal with, I will return now."

With thoughts focused on confirming her own answers, Miss Danester waved to everyone:

"But soon I will personally lead a team back here. The matters here might be even more troublesome than those at Randall Valley."

"Farewell, Red Moon Witch."

"Farewell, and may your subsequent investigations go smoothly."

With that, she transformed into crimson moonlight and flew into the sky.

The remaining Circle Sorcerers, after calling in the Church squad at the shore to search and set up a ritual to stabilize the space, turned their gaze towards the island shrouded in dense fog.

The lunar eclipse continued, but it wouldn’t hinder their vision. The fog had subsided, yet compared to before tonight, the mist that hadn’t changed for over a hundred years had clearly advanced a hundred meters outward from the island.

The space of the entire world, with Green Lake at its center, had changed due to this lunar eclipse. The spatial anomaly spreading worldwide would likely not settle until a Chosen of Space emerged.
