Steampunk: Sixth Era Epic-Chapter 532: Suicide Flip
Layers of halo continued to spread around, illuminating the darkness, evaporating pus, and shattering crystals. Demons retreated in fear, but still, as if in slow motion, their ferocious forms melted away layer by layer in the radiance.
The most powerful witch of the Fifth Era, through Shard's hands, swept the light across the entire Dark Realm. Crystals melted layer by layer, darkness gradually receded, demons lurking in the light melted away, and the people outside the forest watched in surprise as everything around them changed.
The Crystal Forest and all the crystalline boulders storing humans beneath the trees flew out of the forest in the glow, then the surface of the crystals melted in the light, and the Circle Sorcerers broke free from their bonds, regaining consciousness one by one.
Including Miss Galina, they could only see the continuous fearsome golden radiance spreading unceasingly from the heart of the forest, dispelling the Dark Realm and restoring the surrounding area to normality, bit by bit.
"Is this Feliana's Witch Light?"
Not only Miss Galina, but also the old professors from Zaras Academy of Sorcery, the Twelve Rings Vampire Kind of the Blood Spirit School, and even Mr. Sari Pirot, the "Iron Right Hand" who had finally returned, all recognized what this light truly was:
"How could it be so powerful? Has the Speaker of the Witch Council found the path beyond the Thirteen Rings?"
The pillars supporting the Dark Realm gradually dissolved, the domain's power was destroyed, and the Relic would fall into Sleeping, awakening again in the next millennium.
The light at his fingertips gradually subsided, and the golden glow converged upon Shard.

He breathed heavily, his body now full of strength, as Miss Feliana had lent him a portion of her power, healing his wounds on its own.
Miss Feliana stood by his side, the black-haired maid in disbelief at the Witch of the Fifth Era, while Iluna looked up at the sky. A rift appeared in the dark sky, as profound darkness began to dissipate from above their heads.
But Daknis was not dead.
The Chosen of Darkness gasped for air as he collapsed beneath the now blurred pillar, maintaining his Human Pus form. He waved his hand to the right, creating an unstable black vortex. But as he tried to leap into the vortex to escape, Shard threw Luviya's small bottle his way.
Shimmering dust poured from the shattered bottle, forming a purple hexagram as the Ritual Circle, preventing the grievously weakened Daknis from escaping.
This was the demon-sealing ritual provided by Luviya. Now, to kill Daknis, Shard had to ensure that the Human Pus could not flee.
In fact, this ritual was quite simple, and the Church could perform it as well. But the ritual only imprisoned the demon temporarily, requiring the demon to be extremely weak, and it would expire after a few short minutes. Therefore, aside from Shard, who possessed God's Gift Box as an absolutely safe method of sealing, this ritual was of little use to others.
"You've lost, Daknis. Darkness has consumed you, and I have devoured the darkness."
The stars began to shine overhead, and Shard said softly, bending down to pick up God's Gift Box from the ground, and signaled Iluna to make her move.
"No, I haven't lost."
The man, whose face was ashen and body covered in sludge, spoke; he could hardly maintain his Human Pus form, being forced to revert back to his normal human appearance bit by bit.
"Yes, I haven't lost."
The voice of a demon came from that mouth.
"Do you intend to use the Sublimation Incantation? But in such a weakened state, what power can you possibly unleash?"
Iluna said with irony that even if the Sublimation Incantation were forcibly used, it had conditions, and it was impossible to burst forth in a weakened state.
"No, there's another way. You've thought of it too, haven't you, my dear Ivan?"
From Daknis's mouth came a soft voice, his face revealing a ghastly smile:
"Did you think of it long ago? You planned everything, demon, you had it all planned out."
He wasn't speaking to Shard and the others.
"No, how could I have foreseen this? Witch Feliana of the Fifth Era is not something I could have anticipated."
The demon replied with ease.
Then, in an unexpected turn, Daknis reached out with his right hand to his own head, and the mouth on the palm of his hand bit off his head cleanly and neatly.
Black pus erupted from the decapitated body, instantly submerging it to become a spring eye.
A cold wind blew through, extinguishing the surrounding light, and darkness surged once more. The stars above vanished, and the dark sky began to close again—not only was the Dark Realm merging, but some terrible entity was trying to return.
"Oh! How is it not over yet?"
Tifa muttered softly, and Shard sighed, while Miss Feliana's phantom smiled and provided the answer:
"Look, this is the outcome of dealing with a demon.
First, the other me becomes a Circle Sorcerer, then the sorcerer commits suicide, followed by a soul inversion, 'the other me' takes my place and perfectly masters 'me'. Having absorbed a part of the power of the Ancient Evil Spirit Demon, and with this man's power, the Human Pus at its prime will manifest in the form of 'Darkness'. Splendid, utterly splendid! Although I couldn't learn more details, just thinking about it reveals how brilliant this scheme is. That's why I often tell those young witches—
Cherish your soul, stay away from demons."
The black fluid erupting from the severed head had completely submerged the body, and this "Human Pus" spring eye was even more terrifying than before because something truly ostracized by the world was about to return. Daknis's soul cried out in pain across the entire Dark Realm, and the laughter of the Human Pus Demon rose along with those pained wails.
"What should we do then?"
Tifa hurriedly sought advice from Miss Feliana, but the witch continued to watch Shard:
"Don't ask me, this is just a dream to me. To fight such a thing, only the power of a deity is useful."
"Should we inform the church to summon a god? Although this incident is not related to an Evil God, the local church has still paid a huge price to be safe and to avoid further humiliation, having prepared the ritual in advance. I can notify them, but it will take at least twenty minutes to initiate that Divine Art."
Iluna also spoke, but Miss Feliana shook her head:
"There is another way." (Draleon Common Language)
Then she whispered to Shard:
"It is still recovering, so there's no need for a complete deity to intervene. Just a little bit, a tiny bit of power will suffice. Do you have that kind of courage, Shard?" (Fifth Era Language)
Shard thought for a moment and once again stuffed the cat onto Tifa's shoulder as his eyes turned to the Witch in the light:
"But I haven't prepared for the ascension ceremony."
"It doesn't matter. I give you strength. Do not resist, Shard, do what you must. After you obtained the fourth Spirit Rune of the Second Ring, you really don't need to consider like others do, whether this is the optimal state, whether a special environment is needed, whether a fifth Spirit Rune is needed to replenish the insufficient Spirit. You're suppressing yourself, but there's no need for that. Release your instincts, right here."
Both parties stood still, as Miss Feliana glanced at the Ring of Fate behind Shard and extended her finger to gently touch it.
Hum!
The Witch's power, pulling on the four Spirit Runes of the Second Ring to resonate, four-color auras connecting with each other—
The wind began to blow in the forest seeping with the pus of humanity, and Shard took two steps forward, closed his eyes, and gently tip-toed; his feet left the ground, floating in front of the surging human pus.
On the ground, there was only the glimmer of Miss Feliana, but in the air, the golden radiance that enveloped Shard shone brightly as he spread his arms, dazzling four-color auras bursting forth from the Ring of Fate behind him, almost blindingly bright. The halos overlapped, making his entire being look different from before.
The two ladies and the cat also observed this abnormal scene unfolding in front of them. Of course, compared to the founder of Saint Byrons appearing here, this scene wasn't particularly abnormal:
"Is Shard about to become The Chosen One too?"
Tifa asked in amazement, turning to her companion, whom she didn't know well. Iluna had witnessed such an event once, and so she coughed with feigned composure:
"No, he's ascending. The scene might be a bit grand, but this is normal for him. Lady, consider this a fireworks show, please continue watching... Hmm?"
With visibility improved, she finally saw the full extent of Tifa looking upwards and blurted out what was on her mind:
"How on earth did you... bloom so wonderfully?"
"Preparing for ascension."
[I see.]
She whispered laughingly into Shard's ear, but the smile she revealed, Shard didn't understand at all.
The Ring of Fate rotated, the four-color Spirit Runes resonated:
Miracle - Kiss of the Tree—
The golden Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing on Shard's left, the faint shadow of the Old God [Blazar Gate] wearing a robe overlapping with his body:
[Under the dark tree, the God and the Witch, and your story, it is a new miracle.]
Desecration - Vibration—
The silver Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing on Shard's right, the faint shadow of a giant worm overlapping with his body:
[The appearance of the Outlander makes the present tremble.]
Enlightenment - Light of the Witch—
The brass Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing in front of Shard, as Miss Feliana came into the air, in front of Shard, her back facing his front. This golden figure shifted backward until it overlapped with his body;
[The Witch grants you the legacy of the past's light; it is a bond, a reward for the brave.]
Whisper - Greed—
The black iron Spirit Rune detached from the ring, appearing behind Shard, the faint shadow of a figure wearing a Treasure Chest Head, a Desire Mermaid, and the Fishbone Pirate Ship overlapping with his body.
[Love myself, yearn for myself; you are greedier than anyone.]
The Witch's power from across Eras made the four Spirit Runes resonate, causing the Ring of Fate behind to rotate faster. In the eyes of the two women and the cat, the four-color Spirit Runes formed a quadrilateral around Shard, gradually closing in. Four-color illusions overlapped with his body, heralding a true sublimation.
Steam Mist emerged from an unknown place, enveloping Shard in this sphere of light. Bells chimed, steam billowed, horns sounded, hymns rose.
A huge hammerhead descended from the sky, ready to strike the rapidly rotating Brass Ring behind Shard.
[At this moment, guide a drop of Divinity to soak the Spirit Rune prepared for the "Sublimation Incantation."]
She reminded him softly.
The soul pulled the dazzling droplet as the Ring of Fate rotated, the golden Divine Light diffusing, and then all that brilliant light converged onto the [Vibration] on the right. The hammer fell, its abnormal method of progression nearly causing the entire Dark Realm to vibrate.
This was already uncounted as the umpteenth earthquake in a short duration.
Time seemed to freeze at this moment; Tifa and Iluna gazed up blankly at Shard within the light. The glow lit their faces, their eyes. Observing this scene alone felt like a severe mental oppression, as if what they were witnessing was a Deity of ancient existence.
The air around Shard cleared of the fog, and he slowly descended. The dissipating fog revealed what was once a flat circle had transformed into the three-dimensional Brass Life Ring of a Three Ring Sorcerer.
The hot ring rotated slowly behind him, not just circling but also its cross-sectional segments spinning independently.
As the Life Ring spun, eight Spirit Runes rippled with light that seemed almost liquid.
Among the four Spirit Runes of the Second Ring, the [Vibration] cleansed by a droplet of Divinity now shone brightly with golden light. This was the Level Two step on the Path of Sublimation towards becoming a Thirteen Rings Deity, but it was still just the beginning of that path.
The light began to retract, and the visions were about to fade.
Shard stepped out from the light and fog, his feet touching the ground once more. Because he was forcefully propelled to the status of a Three Ring Sorcerer by the Witch's power, his physical abilities surpassed those of sorcerers of the same level even further; clenching his fists tightly, the feeling of power was unprecedented.
Opening his eyes to look at the two ladies, a flash of golden light passed through his eyes, and then, the surface of his body burst forth with Silvermoon's forceful light, shattering the Dark Realm that could no longer suppress the moonlight.
Tifa and Iluna instinctively stepped back in unison, feeling unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.
But the impression Shard left them was not one of fright; at this moment, he was so enigmatic and radiant.
