Steampunk: Sixth Era Epic-Chapter 534 -
In her own dream, Miss Mana Feliana, having regained her body, did not look at anyone else but, following the golden Light Trace that blossomed, she flew into the night sky.
"In the name of Mana Feliana!"
The voice at this moment caused everyone who had ever been affected by the Dark Realm to look up at the sky. She did not conceal her face, so the High Ring Sorcerers could see clearly who it was under the starry sky.
The resplendent Thirteenth Level Golden Steps appeared right below Miss Feliana's feet on the moonlit night, and she stood at the very top of the Golden Steps, with a golden gate towering behind her:
"Feliana's Witch Light!"
The voice spread across the wilderness, and the gate opened. The golden light overflowing from behind the door was like an exploding sun, illuminating everything. The fleeing black pus evaporated, and those standing here felt only warmth.
Seizing the moment, Iluna stayed on the hillside, holding the sword hilt of the Dark Sword, preparing to meet the approaching church's group as the greatest contributor to the battle, hiding Shard and Tifa's movements;
Shard and Tifa, together with the cat, God's Gift Box, and the Box of Darkness, left the hill and vanished into the vast night.
"Mana Feliana?"
The old professor from Zaras Literary Academy gaped:
"What have those people from Saint Byrons been hiding from us?"
"Mana Feliana?"
The Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer of the Church of Creation, "Iron Right Hand" Mr. Sari Pirot, grabbed his hair and looked up into the night sky:
"Could there be anything more absurd tonight?"
"Mana Feliana?"
Old Man John stood on the melting village's low wall, hands behind his back, squinting at the origin of the light:
"Hmm... the others of the Hermit Society will probably think my report is dream talk."
"Mana Feliana?"
On the edge of the Dark Realm, Mr. Stan, the president of the Tobesk Branch of the Prophet's Society who defeated the Truth Society's Circle Sorcerer, did not pay attention to the rescue squad from the True God Church but looked dumbfounded at the golden light behind the stars in the sky as the darkness receded:
"How did the star patterns change?"
"Mana Feliana?"
Miss Galina, standing alone in the open field outside the forest, tilted her head and stared with her eyes wide open as the golden light vanished into the night sky, along with the woman who seemed destined to leave a lasting imprint in her eyes:
"Weren't we fighting demons? How could it..."
"Miss!"
She turned her head and saw Shard and Tifa running towards her, both of their injuries had been healed by Miss Feliana:
"Daknis is dead, we need to go, the church people are coming!"
Shard, carrying the boxes and holding the cat, said, but Miss Galina grabbed her, looking at her with golden eyes:
"Just now."
She pointed towards the small hill in the center of Millwood Forest, where light points still floated:
"That."
Then she pointed at the sky:
"What was that all about?"
"Oh, I unlocked a Maze Lock! I successfully learned a Maze Lock!"
Shard excitedly said.
"Not that, I mean Feliana, the founder of Saint Byrons Academy, what's the deal with Mana Feliana?"
The Red-Haired Witch, gasping for breath, grabbed Shard's wrist, and Shard had an epiphany:
"As I told you, I can gain power from the past. I had helped Miss Feliana in times gone by, so she helped me too."
Since it wasn't a secret, and because Tifa had seen it too, Shard didn't think to hide it anymore.

"This... Tifa, was it really Miss Mana Feliana just now?"
Miss Galina covered her forehead, and Miss Maid, the black-haired maid, carefully nodded her head:
"I saw that lady up close... she's very beautiful indeed and definitely a witch. There's no mistaking that. She also gave me a gift."
```
"What gift?"
Shard asked with curiosity, returning Miss Galina's necklace to her. The three of them prepared to leave this place, which was not a good spot for conversation.
"Power, she gave me the power to advance. In addition to stepping towards the Thirteenth Rank, I can use this power to unconditionally advance to the next rank at any level," Tifa explained.
It took Shard a moment to understand that Tifa was referring to the levels of the Witch System, and indeed the gift could only be for Tifa, since neither Shard nor Iluna were witches.
The Duchess pressed her lips together as she looked toward her maid, and it was then that Shard remembered that Miss Galina herself was only an Eleventh Rank witch and still had some distance to go before reaching the Twelfth.
"You... I... Once we return to the manor, I want to hear the entire process... hmm?"
She suddenly looked past Shard, and as he turned around, he saw a glimmer of golden light approaching. With one hand, he stopped the cat that was about to pounce, and with the other, he instinctively reached forward, catching the flying Transmutation Ring.
As he touched the ring, all three of them heard a voice:
"I have cleared all traces of Human Pus, but due to the insufficient time in this dream, a strand of the demon's core pus has escaped. Don't worry, it will take at least a few thousand years for it to recover to its prime. Besides death, this is the most severe damage it could endure."
"It's fine if it has escaped, I've collected some of the pus, and dropping it into my eyes will allow me to find it."
Shard said happily, glancing at the God's Gift Box he was carrying on his back, determined not to leave any trouble behind. However, Miss Feliana had ultimately left...
"Look, a meteor shower!"
As Shard was holding the ring and feeling its warmth, Tifa quietly pointed it out again.
In the wilderness beneath the star ocean, the three people and the cat all looked up. The deep starry sky, like a painted scroll, seemed almost within reach, with the three moons brightly illuminating the darkness that had retreated. No matter what they had done in the past, they were all incredibly small under this sky.
Across the vast expanse of stars, streamers of light were moving from west to east, starting with just a few light traces before a dense and vast flow of light swept across the night sky, covering the entire western sky visible to them. Stars twinkled, three moons hung together in the sky, and though the scene was silent, it was strikingly impactful.
Seeing such a sight after the great battle strangely brought a feeling of complete relaxation, and no one spoke immediately.
"What's happening?"
After a long pause, Shard hesitantly asked.
"It's simple, the second Chosen One has died, and the world is paying tribute to him."
Miss Galina explained, and together with Shard and Tifa, they looked up at the vanishing streaks of light, with her golden eyes flickering as she spoke almost in a whisper:
```
"After all, compared to us, the thirteen The Chosen Ones are the true protagonists of the Sixth Era epic."
(Mia running...)
That night, Shard and the cat did not return to the city but stayed in Miss Galina's manor, satisfying the witch's curiosity while tending to Luviya, who was temporarily resting in the manor.
They returned to the manor at eight o'clock on this Saturday night, and after the manor's servants awoke, they prepared dinner for them.
Nobody spoke during the meal. Miss Galina still could not believe what had happened that night, furrowed her brows deep in thought, occasionally glancing at Shard. Tifa was her usual silent self, while Shard was still immersed in the melancholy that Miss Mana Feliana had helped him once again.
Probably only Mia was relatively happy during this meal.
After dinner, the three of them moved to the study to talk. Indeed, Ivan Daknis's death was the focus of the evening, but Miss Galina was less interested in the process of the battle and The Chosen Ones. She did not even inquire about why Shard ran into the Dark Realm, and after hastily hearing a few boasts from Shard about Iluna, she shifted the topic to the appearance process of Miss Galina.
Since Tifa had almost witnessed the entire process, and today's events did not involve the secret of his deification, Shard did not hide anything.
He, holding the cat that feigned sleep after eating its fill, with one hand holding a teacup, recounted the events to Miss Galina.
His journey to the Dark Realm was to aid Iluna Beath, the Chosen of Balance, who was his dear friend. The brown-haired girl had even prepared an additional method to seal demons in case the Dark Realm spiraled out of control, instructing Shard to use it. She also had her own secrets she didn't want the church to know, so everything was done without the church's knowledge, and it was the power of "Balance" that protected her while she navigated safely through the Dark Realm.
As for the visions during his own promotion, he attributed them to Miss Mana Feliana; after all, no matter what kind of power Miss Mana Feliana had, it was something that could be accepted by the people of the Sixth Era.
While listening to Shard's narrative, Miss Galina examined the snuff bottle, "The Dream of Saint Byrons Integrated Academy," which she had borrowed from Shard.
But now, the snuff bottle was only a relic, having spanned two eras. It had already fulfilled its most fundamental function for which it was created. Now it could only release the dream about Saint Byrons Integrated Academy, and Miss Galina did not wish to view the Academy's "recruitment dream."
"It still feels incredible even now that Miss Mana Feliana appeared."
She placed the snuff bottle on the table, covering her forehead with her hand, not minding as her red, wispy hair brushed past her ears, the witch momentarily unsure of what to say.
Shard, holding Mia in his arms, sat opposite at the coffee table. Mia's tail was fitted with two rings, which were the "Transmutation Ring" and the "Fish Training Ring," both of which the cat had put on itself. Of course, the "Fish Training Ring," being ineffective on fish-eating cats, could not trigger the talking effect, and the "Transmutation Ring" needed spell words recited by the wearer to take effect on oneself, thus neither of the relics had any effect on Mia.
Miss Galina also understood the function of the "Transmutation Ring," but the widely knowledgeable witch was not surprised:
"The traits of relics are summarized by people through use. It's like touching a pillar with our eyes closed, but in reality, it's just one leg of an elephant. Therefore, it's normal that relics have effects beyond their known traits."
She also warned Shard, who planned on keeping the "Fish Training Ring" as spoils of war, not to place it on a corpse's hand, as that would directly cause the relic to go out of control.
Of course, Shard planned to keep the ring not because of its traits but purely as a new toy for Mia. Indeed, they owed this catch to the cat's successful retrieval of the ring this time.
