Stellar Train: I Open a Small Shop on the Train-Chapter 146
Chapter 146 - 146
When Theresa saw Rita's expression, she quickly pulled her back, afraid that Rita would pounce on Veilanne and smother her with kisses.
Theresa was more familiar with Rita's personality than anyone else—after all, she had been a victim of it before.
Meanwhile, Kiana was looking around, searching for Stelle and the others.
After looking for a while and still not seeing them, she asked Neuvillette:
"Neuvillette, are Stelle and the others playing around here?"
Neuvillette responded:
"Yes, they're supervising at the construction site in the Singer District. Are you looking for them? I can have someone take you there."
Kiana lit up:
"Yes, yes! Please have someone take me there! Let's go, Mei—let's go have some fun."
Neuvillette looked at Veilanne.
"Veilanne, could I trouble you to take these two young ladies to the Singer District to find Miss Stelle and the others?"
Veilanne smiled and agreed.
"Sure~"
She happily bounced along with Kiana and Mei as they walked away.
Seeing how Veilanne hopped with each step, Rita found her even more lovable.
Oh my! She's just too cute!
Suddenly, Rita bowed deeply to Neuvillette.
"Please let me take care of Melusine!"
Neuvillette was a bit baffled—what did that even mean?
Theresa quickly stepped in to smooth things over, covering Rita's mouth and pulling her behind her.
"Ah, it's nothing—don't mind what she said. Could you please show us around? We'd like to see the equipment you've purchased."
Neuvillette nodded and called over another Melusine to give Theresa and the others a tour.
Meanwhile, Kiana followed Veilanne to the construction site in the Singer District.
Scientists from the Academy were operating machines to produce various building materials.
To speed up the progress, Neuvillette had all kinds of equipment brought directly to the site. Bricks, steel, and so on were processed on-site.
Once processed, they were immediately sent into the construction area.
Under a small shed, Kiana found Stelle, March 7th, and FIrefly.
She ran over.
"Stelle! I came to hang out with you guys!"
Kiana jogged into the shed.
Stelle was pleasantly surprised to see her.
"Oh! Kiana! Are you on vacation?"
Kiana put her hands on her hips and huffed proudly.
"Hmph~ I've got seven days off, haha! What are you guys doing here? Let me join in!"
Stelle downed a cup of water.
"We were just bored and came here to kill time. Got any good ideas?"
Kiana shook her head.
"Nope~ How about we head back to the train? Let's check out what today's dungeon is."
Stelle replied:
"Sure, let's go back."
They got up and took a shuttle back to the train.
After a warp, the ship arrived at Penacony.
Stelle walked into Ye Yun's store and looked at the day's dungeon.
Today's Dungeon: Super Mario
Description: Clear the course by parkouring through various obstacles to reach the end.
Reward: 1,000 Star Coins
Max Participants: 100
Stelle glanced at the dungeon and instantly lost interest.
"This one, huh? I'm not into parkour types."
March 7th and the others weren't particularly excited either.
They headed over to the sofa lounge to rest and turned on a movie.
Stelle lay lazily on a sofa shaped like a trash bin, her feet swinging on the armrest.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Stelle spotted Ye Yun.
Ye Yun! Right! Maybe he has something fun to suggest.
Stelle jumped up and ran over.
"Ye Yun! We don't know what to do—got any fun ideas?"
Ye Yun smiled.
"What a coincidence. I was just about to invite a new guest from another world. You all can hang out with them."
Stelle's eyes lit up.
"Oh! That sounds great! Hurry and invite them!"
Ye Yun had just received a system prompt in his room:
Notice: Host, it has been a while since you last invited guests from another world. Please invite more to increase your store's revenue.
Ye Yun raised his hands.
"I want to, but I need an invitation scroll for that."
Notice: Available in the shop for only 1 million Star Coins per scroll.
Ye Yun rolled his eyes—why didn't they say so earlier?
He bought one invitation scroll and headed to the store to use it, when Stelle came running over.
Ye Yun said to her:
"Step aside a bit—I need space to open a portal."
Stelle quickly moved out of the way.
March 7th, Kiana, and the others also came over to see what was happening.
Ye Yun tore the scroll. The pieces turned into light and gathered into a portal in front of him.
Before long, a slime bounced out.
The slime looked at Ye Yun, then at the others.
"Hello! I'm a kind slime, not an evil one."
Hearing this and seeing the slime's papercraft-like appearance, Ye Yun recognized him.
"Rimuru, welcome to my store. I'm Ye Yun."
That's right—the slime was Rimuru, the one with the Great Sage system.
Rimuru looked at Ye Yun.
"Oh! So you're the owner. Hello, hello."
March 7th and Kiana came up and curiously examined Rimuru, rubbing their chins.
"Wow~ a talking slime!"
"Amazing! March, touch it—it's so bouncy!"
Kiana poked Rimuru with her finger, finding it very fun.
Rimuru smiled at them.
"Hello, I'm Rimuru. Nice to meet you."
March 7th and Kiana introduced themselves in return.
Kiana asked curiously:
"Rimuru, what's your world like?"
Rimuru thought for a moment, then extended two little arms from his sides.
"I'm not too sure. I only know there are dragons... and heroes."
Hearing this, Ye Yun guessed the timeline—Rimuru must've just absorbed Veldora Tempest, the Storm Dragon.
Kiana asked directly:
"Rimuru, can we visit your world?"
Rimuru shook his head.
"Best not. It's a bit dangerous there. I'm in a cave with lots of monsters."
Kiana patted her chest confidently.
"Monsters? No problem—we're super strong!"
Ye Yun cut in:
"Kiana, if you want to go, wait a bit. Let Rimuru see if he wants to buy anything first."
Kiana obediently stepped aside.
Rimuru suddenly remembered something. Before arriving here, he'd heard a voice in his mind telling him he'd been invited to a magical shop where he could buy anything he wanted.
"Oh, right! I came to shop! Uh, how do I browse the items?"
***
Ye Yun brought Rimuru to the little pub. With a cheerful "heave-ho," Rimuru jumped onto the bar counter and extended a small stubby hand to swipe through the display screen.
After browsing for quite a while, Rimuru finally found what he was looking for.
[Item: Taste System Description: An item from a certain sci-fi world. After use, it grants taste to creatures without the sense of taste. Price: 10,000 Star Coins.]
Rimuru pointed at the Taste System.
"Ye Yun, I want to buy this. How do I pay for it?"
Ye Yun thought for a moment and decided to ask the system if there was anything from Rimuru's world that could be exchanged for Star Coins.
[Notice: High-purity magic crystal ore—one unit can be exchanged for 100 Star Coins.]
After hearing the system's explanation, Ye Yun said to Rimuru:
"Rimuru, do you have any magic crystal ore? The kind that's iridescent."
A question mark appeared above Rimuru's head. He thought for a moment.
"Yes!"
Rimuru's body wriggled for a moment and spat out a piece of magic crystal ore.
"Is this it?"
Ye Yun placed the ore on the exchange scale.
In the next second—
The magic crystal ore vanished, and in its place on the other side of the scale were 100 Star Coins.
"That's it. How much of this do you have?"
Rimuru asked the Great Sage in his body and got an exact count.
"I have 10,000 pieces about the same size as the one just now."
Ye Yun was stunned—did Rimuru really have that much?
But thinking about it, it made sense. After all, Rimuru had been absorbing things nonstop ever since he transmigrated.
The cave where Veldora was sealed had highly concentrated magic, so there were lots of treasures inside—herbs, ores, and so on.
Rimuru didn't know the use of the magic crystal ore, so he decided to exchange it all for Star Coins.
At least Star Coins could be used to buy things from Ye Yun.
Rimuru began madly spitting out magic crystal ore.
The iridescent ores soon filled the entire shop.
Stelle picked up a piece, weighing it in her hand.
"Rimuru, can I keep one of these to play with? It's really pretty."
Rimuru casually waved his little hand.
"Everyone can take one! No need to be polite!"
Hearing this, Stelle and the others thanked him and each picked a piece they liked.
Clara squatted down and used a detector her tutor Herta had given her to scan the ore.
[Type: Unknown Mineral
Hardness: 30
Energy Conductivity: 99%]
Clara's eyes lit up with surprise at the results.
"This ore has 99% energy conductivity!"
Ye Yun asked,
"Is that impressive?"
Clara nodded.
"Mm-hmm. Teacher Herta once said the materials used in the company's most advanced battleships only have 98% conductivity. That means that during energy transfer, 2% is lost, whereas this ore only loses 1%.
Although, the company's material is a lot harder."
Clara looked at Rimuru.
"Rimuru, can I buy a few pieces of this ore? I want to show my teacher."
Rimuru picked up a few pieces and stuffed them into Clara's arms.
"No need to buy! I have plenty. Here, take some."
Clara smiled happily.
"Thank you."
Rimuru scratched the back of his head.
"No problem! Alright, I'm going to buy something now. If any of you want more ore, help yourselves."
Clara walked into the teleport gate, planning to go to the Herta Space Station.
With Stelle and the others helping, Rimuru finished exchanging his ore, gaining over 900,000 Star Coins in total.
After spending 10,000 to buy the Taste System, he eagerly took the beer Ye Yun handed him and drank a mouthful.
As the beer went down, Rimuru's body visibly turned red.
He set down the bottle and let out a burp.
"Buuurp~ Waaaah~ I can finally taste things again!"
Rimuru cried while drinking.
It had been so long since he'd had any taste. Up until now, everything he ate had no flavor.
Seeing this, Ye Yun asked Noelle to bring out a few dishes to go with the drinks.
"Here, try these snacks."
Rimuru's eyes sparkled at the sight of the delicate appetizers.
"Wow!!! Don't mind if I do!"
While Rimuru was eating, Stelle and the others didn't bring up the idea of visiting Rimuru's world for the time being.
Not long after, Welt returned to the train, accompanied by someone else—Sunday!
Seeing Sunday, Stelle ran over.
"Uncle Yang, why is he with you?"
Welt replied,
"Mr. Sunday wants to travel with us on the train for a while, so I brought him back to ask everyone's opinion.
March, can you go call Dan Heng and Himeko?"
March 7th nodded and ran off to the front car.
Before long—
Himeko and Dan Heng arrived at Ye Yun's shop.
Himeko was carrying both Pom-Pom and Elio—one in each hand.
Even while being carried, the two kept yelling at each other.
"Stupid cat! If Himeko hadn't grabbed me, I'd have let you feel the wrath of my headbutt!"
Elio snapped back.
"Come on then, chubby bunny! I'll let you taste my flying kick!"
Just as Himeko set them down, they started going at it again.
Elio leapt up.
"Ultimate Flying Kick!!!"
Pom-Pom powered up his legs.
"Trailblazing Headbutt!!!"
The cat and bunny clashed once more.
Himeko sighed and picked them up again, one in each hand.
"Behave, both of you! If you don't, I'm locking you in the dark room!"
At the threat, both turned away from each other with a huff.
Himeko said to Kafka, who was watching with amusement,
"Kafka, please help keep an eye on them. I need to attend a meeting."
Kafka smiled and agreed.
"Alright, don't take too long—we still have shopping to do later."
Himeko nodded and left.
The train crew brought Sunday over to the lounge area.
Kiana, Ye Yun, and the others watched the scene unfold.
Welt said,
"Mr. Sunday would like to travel with us for a while. Is everyone okay with that?"
Himeko smiled.
"The train never turns away friends who wish to travel with us."
Dan Heng nodded.
"I'll go along with your decision."
March 7th and Stelle thought for a bit and also agreed.
Like they said, the train never rejects those willing to join them.
Sunday was very happy to hear everyone's acceptance.
"Thank you all so much for welcoming me aboard."
Stelle suddenly thought of something, hands on her hips.
"That means I'm not the youngest anymore!"
Himeko blinked, then chuckled softly.
"Well, that's true."
Welt looked at Sunday.
"If we're going by join order, then yes, Sunday—you're the youngest."
Sunday smiled.
"Alright then. For the time being, I'm the train's new baby."
Himeko turned to Dan Heng.
"Dan Heng, take our new youngest member to pick out a room."
Dan Heng nodded and led Sunday toward the rear cars to choose a room.
