Stolen love: In love with my sister 's fiance-Chapter 52: A plan in motion
Chapter 52 - A plan in motion
Alex's phone buzzed, Olivia's name flashing across the screen. He sighed, already irritated before he even answered.
"What?" he said coldly.
"Come to my apartment," Olivia replied, her voice smug. "The report is here."
Alex's grip on the phone tightened. He could practically hear the smirk in her voice.
"Fine. I'm coming."
He ended the call, his jaw clenched. Whatever this bitch has to say, I'll handle it. If she thinks she can trap me, she's got another thing coming.
Grabbing his keys, he stormed out of his office. The sooner he ended this mess, the better.
Alex stepped into Olivia's apartment, his expression unreadable. She was already seated, a smirk playing on her lips as she casually handed him the report.
"Look now, fiancé," she taunted, her voice dripping with satisfaction.
Alex took the envelope, his hands steady as he unfolded the paper. His eyes scanned the words, and his jaw clenched. The child is mine.
A mixture of emotions surged inside him—anger, frustration, and an ache of disappointment. I wanted my first child with Elaine... not like this, not with Olivia. But one thing was certain: he would never let Olivia's shadow fall over his child.
He exhaled sharply and looked up at Olivia, his voice devoid of warmth. "Fine. I'll take responsibility."
Her smirk widened—for a moment.
"But the marriage is not happening," he added firmly.
The smirk vanished. Olivia's eyes darkened with rage. "What do you mean, you bastard? You want the child but refuse to marry me?"
"I will never marry you." His voice was final.
Her fury exploded. "I won't let that happen! If you think—"
Alex cut her off, pulling out a set of pictures from his jacket. He tossed them onto the table. Olivia's breath hitched as her own face stared back at her—caught in intimate moments with not one, but three different men. A well-known director. A wealthy businessman. And another man she had sworn was just a 'friend.'
"I must say, Olivia," Alex smirked. "You've been living a very colorful life."
Her face drained of color.
"You know what happens if I release these, don't you?" he continued, leaning in. "The whole world will find out that the 'A-list celebrity fiancée' was having affairs behind her fiancé's back. If you dare leak a single picture of me with Elaine, I can spin this story however I want. You know I have the media under my control."
Olivia clenched her fists, shaking with rage. "What do you want, you bastard?!"
Alex leaned back, his next words calm, calculated. "I want the child."
She froze.
"I will take full custody. In return, I'll make you the chairman of your father's company."
Her lips parted slightly, taken aback.
"I know you've been desperate for control," he continued. "Your father has always been looking for an heir—who's to say he doesn't have an illegitimate son waiting in the shadows? You want to keep the company in your hands? Then this is your only chance."
A heavy silence filled the room.
Olivia's mind whirled. If she refused, she'd risk losing everything—her career, her reputation, and possibly even her father's company. But if she agreed... she'd have to give up the child.
Alex watched as her expression twisted with indecision.
"Make your choice, Olivia," he said coolly. "Because either way... you lose."
Alex stood, adjusting his jacket with a smirk. He had played his card, and now all that was left was to wait for Olivia to make her move.
She was still frozen, gripping the armrest of her chair, her mind visibly racing.
Alex knew her too well. Olivia wasn't the kind of woman who wanted to be a mother—she craved power, money, and control. That was the only reason she had ever wanted to marry him. Not love. Not family. Just status.
"You have my number," he said, his voice laced with finality. "Think carefully before you decide."
With that, he turned and walked out of the apartment, not looking back.
As he stepped into the cool night air, he exhaled slowly. He had done what needed to be done. Olivia was backed into a corner, and knowing her, she'd choose greed over motherhood.
She was never meant to be a mother anyway.
Sliding into his car, he checked his phone. A message from Elaine sat unread. His fingers hovered over the screen before he finally opened it.
Elaine: Are you okay? I have a feeling something happened.
Alex's grip on his phone tightened. Damn, she knows me too well.
Alex: I'm fine. We'll talk tomorrow. Get some rest, love.
