Story Breaker-Chapter 3: Eden Registration

I woke up in a hospital room curiously I looked around and noticed to the right of me was a drawer with my phone on top of it.

Further to the right was a huge window showing the city below. The room had white walls and gray flooring. On the other side of the bed was a chair, and behind it was the door.

I picked up my phone while checking the time and date to noticed only an 4 hours had passed, I sighed, trying recalling most of the moments before I passed out.

'Wait.. wait... Do I have a system?!'

I got excited again and put my hand in front of me. The moment I did, a golden screen appeared in front of me.

[Welcome to the Salvation System..]

'It wasn't a dream, I actually have a system...'

I quickly checked through the pages of the system, found my character sheet, and opened it.

'Oh, that's what blessings are; how interesting. Too bad I can't see the title I got but whatever... I finally got my own system, and better yet, it's unique!'

After I completely read everything on my character sheet, I turned off the tutorial.

Suddenly I heard the hospital room door opening, so I closed the system and looked at the door, curious about who had arrived.

My eyes widened as I saw a man with long dark crimson hair and a bulky structure wearing a basic suit and tie enter the room.

He was the man I had idolized since childhood, the savior, Raphael Cross, the commander of Heaven's Gate, the number one guild in the entire world that had conquered the Tower of Lies and the Tower of Envy.

In his hands was a notepad, he sat down and began speaking in a very calm tone.

"You're Kim Taejune, correct?"

I could only nod out of sheer shock that he was here, and he stared at me for a moment before continuing.

"May I ask you some questions, Kim Taejune?"

I nodded once again, and he began asking me some questions.

"You are a 'Sprouted,' correct?"

I paused for a moment before responding.

"I used to be a 'Sprouted,' but now I have a skill and a system... meaning I'm a 'Bloomed' now, right?"

Raphael wrote something down in his notepad before continuing.

"Yes, that would make you a 'Bloomed,' but when did you 'Bloom,' Kim Taejune?"

I answered almost immediately.

"Today... I became one today."

Raphael wrote once again on his notepad before asking me something else.

"As you know, everyone who has 'Bloomed' must be evaluated, correct?"

I simply nodded as he continued, "After the evaluation test, and in accordance with the new government law concerning 'Bloomed' individuals, I must ask you this last question. If you choose not to accept, that's perfectly fine."

Raphael took a deep breath and spoke in a more serious tone, "Would you like to be a savior, Kim Taejune?"

I quickly answered almost instantly after hearing the question, my excitement going through the roof, "Yes, I would like to be one!"

Raphael looked at me seriously before asking to confirm what I had said, "Are you sure you want to become a savior? It's a dangerous job."

I gave the similar response to what I said before, "Yes, I wanna become a savior."

Raphael nodded while handing me a form, at the top of the form it read, "Eden Special Registration Form."

I quickly read through it, my eyes slowly widening as I read through its contents:

I stared at the form and back at Raphael. I quickly pinched myself to see if I was dreaming, and realizing I was not, I filled in the form and handed it back to him.

Raphael quickly checked the form, nodded, and then handed me card, "That card is for the evaluation test do not lose it."

Raphael stood up from the chair as he continued speaking, "Alright Kim Taejune, you're all set now. By tomorrow, you will be discharged from this hospital and after the evaluation, you will be an Eden cadet. I hope you succeed there at Eden."

Raphael quickly left, my mind and heart felt like they were about to explode out of sheer happiness and excitement.

I felt like I was living in a dream entirely, my former depressive mood from a few hours ago was gone completely.

I grabbed my phone again and noticed something odd about my reflection through the screen. I quickly went to the camera app and switched the camera to face me.

I noticed my normally black eyes were now a goldish color.

'What the?...is this because I bloomed?'

I sighed, accepting the changes to my eyes as side effects of becoming bloomed. I scrolled on my phone once again, once again reading stories about heroes and watching videos about saviors just like in my childhood.
