When the dark thunder met the flames, it was annihilated without a trace and without a sound. It was as if it never existed in the first place!

At the same time, the nine divine vermillion birds grew stronger and burned brighter as they continued their flight toward the World Ender Jiuying.

All nine heads of the World Ender Jiuying roared in utter shock and disbelief.

Meanwhile, the Li Fire Divine Wheel was rotating slowly above Ye Qing’s palm. Every time it spun, more veluriyam flames would surge out and replenish the divine vermillion birds’ power.

The Nan Ming Li Fire contained within the Li Fire Divine Wheel had been nurtured in the murky qi of Bei Yuan for countless years. It fed on all things yin, dark and dirty and enriched itself on death. It had long since reached the level where its antithesis was only its fuel.

Right now, it was purer and more domineering than any Nan Ming Li Fire that existed in the world. It could burn away all things cold, deathly, dark, and dirty. It was truly the bane of the World Ender Jiuying’s power.

“Is that so? Thank you so much!” The World Ender Jiuying roared hatefully, though it could not hide the shock and fear in its voice.

Ye Qing replied indifferently while poking the Li Fire Divine Wheel with his fingertip.

The divine wheel shone brighter, and the veluriyam flames burning on it grew even more dazzling!

Like bone boring maggots, the Nan Ming Li Fire swiftly and stubbornly spread throughout the World Ender Jiuying’s gigantic body!

The scales that were as tough as bones and covered in age spots were as frail as paper before the flame. They blackened, curled up and shattered in no time at all!

The flesh and blood underneath the scales especially were quickly charred and melted away until the bones underneath them were revealed. It smelled horrible.

“AAAAAAAAAA—”

An earthshaking howl of pain erupted from the World Ender Jiuying. Its nine gigantic heads flailed wildly like maces and struck the bottom of the blue hole repeatedly, stirring up undercurrents and shaking spaces.

It rolled and twisted its body in an attempt to put out the flames, but the Nan Ming Li Fire stubbornly clung to its flesh and blood like it had a life of its own. No matter how it struggled, it only burned stronger and brighter. All the while, it kept invading deeper and deeper into its body!

While the World Ender Jiuying was screaming in pain, the rest of the Sages finally found the opportunity to launch a combined assault!

The image of a sage behind the Chief Libationist chanted the true words and swung his Five Virtue Ruler. The five divine lights that were benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and sincerity transformed into five divine chains of order and whipped the Jiuying’s ashen scales viciously, crumbling entire chunks of flesh and kicking up thick, smelly columns of black smoke.

The Old Heavenly Master’s beard and hair were flying, and his purple robe was billowing as a skyful of Purple Firmament Divine Thunder combined into an unbelievably thick column of thunder. Brimming with rampant, destructive power, it accurately struck the snake head that spat poison fire despite its attempts to dodge and blasted it to shreds. The snake head’s scale, brain matter, and blood flew everywhere as it let out a shrill howl.

Feng Qingyou waved her hand slightly as the pentachromatic auspicious cloud behind her phased in and out like a dream. Wisps of light, ephemeral clouds and hues sneakily and soundlessly descended from the air and merged with Jiuying’s humongous body. Although the Evil looked fine on the surface, its vigor and vitality were really being eroded and annihilated at an unnatural speed. In fact, it was even more sinister and indefensible than the Nan Ming Li Fire.

Haotian Hong raised the Clear Sky Mirror and unleashed what looked like a heavenly river of golden light. It struck the snake head that spat ice squarely, melting its tough ice and evaporating its scales.
