STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 165: Part 4: Duel against Romeo Barrett
Caw!
Jeremy raised his hand and saw the appearance of the lifeline beast. His eyes flashed with a gleam because it's a natural-born hybrid beast.
The combination of a raptor and a four-legged beast, it has a sharp and long beak. The rest of the body is similar to that of a wolf.
He then turned around and looked at Romeo Barrett in a new light. He knew it wasn't easy to get a natural-born hybrid beast. What more? It should be suitable for the Beast Tamer.
But this one can fight without Romeo Barrett's sword talent assistance.
Gasp!
The students who were watching and live-streaming sucked in a cold breath of air. But the faces of some Attack Department students remained normal.
As if they had seen it before. They were not surprised.
Apart from the Attack Department instructors, the other department instructors were surprised as well. They knew that Romeo Barrett had a bird-type lifeline beast.
Because they had seen Romeo's background information. But they never thought it was a hybrid bird beast.
"Looks like his background information needs to be edited," Instructor Jacob said with a chuckle.
Old man Derek said, "It doesn't change the result. He recklessly summoned his lifeline beast."
Hearing that, the faces of the department instructors changed. They almost forgot about the combat power of the lifeline beast. It's still a Tier 1.
Apart from its sharp beak and talons, and body strength, the beast doesn't have other strengths. They realized that the outcome hadn't changed.
The Attack Department instructor's face turned ugly. No one was supporting Romeo Barrett. Even his confidence began to waver.
Because the hybrid bird lifeline beast wasn't going to make any difference.
Meanwhile,
"Jeremy, my beast is going to tear you apart," Romeo Barrett yelled before retreating backward.
He was injured. He could only rely on his lifeline beast to fight hereafter.
Caw!
The hybrid raptor dove downwards all of a sudden. Its huge wings created a wind force. The speed was so fast that the air-tearing sound could be heard.
Swoosh!
The hybrid bird spotted its enemy. It was eager to attack with its talons.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night took out his katana to attack. He didn't know whether to call Romeo Barrett stupid or not.
If his lifeline beast was injured, he would get hurt as well.

Swoosh!
The hybrid bird appeared right before his eyes. The massive hybrid bird was larger than an adult human.
Jeremy moved his body sideways. At the same time, he swung his katana. The katana went parabolic before striking the hybrid bird's feathers.
Boom!
At the same time, the hybrid bird's talons struck the ground.
Puchak!
The blade cut through the feathers slightly.
Caw!
The hybrid bird let out a cry in pain. The small cut on its feathers was causing it pain.
Jeremy retreated backward to widen the gap. He saw Romeo's face contorted in pain as well.
AaaaahhhhHH!
The next second, he screamed out in pain. Romeo felt a head-splitting pain because he had contracted the hybrid bird beast. He was experiencing pain through the mental zone.
Caw!
The hybrid bird beast once again tried to attack.
"Enough!"
"Take back your lifeline beast!"
Old man Derek's voice sounded.
Hearing that, Romeo's clouded mind became clear. He took back his lifeline beast.
Caw!
The hybrid bird made an unwilling cry before disappearing from the spot.
Seeing that, Jeremy sheathed his katana. He sighed in relief. He was unwilling to hurt the hybrid bird as well. If the cut had been deep, then Romeo would have been bedridden.
"Romeo Barrett, you are reckless. It's not a normal duel. Not a do-or-die match," Old man Derek scolded Romeo Barrett.
Romeo Barrett clenched his fist. Then he seemed to realize something. He said, "I accept defeat."
"Jeremy Night is the winner," Old Man Derek said.
"Hereafter, no one should conspire against Jeremy Night. If I find out, the consequences will be serious," he added.
Hearing that, the faces of the students changed drastically. Especially the Attack Department students; they were the ones behind the challenge campaign.
If they hadn't started it, Romeo would have minded his own business.
"Head, it won't happen again," the Attack Department instructor said before taking Romeo to the infirmary.
With him, the Attack Department students left as well. Those who were watching from the livestream were dumbstruck.
They didn't expect an old man to intervene and stop the duel. But they didn't know that if Jeremy Night had continued, Romeo Barrett's health condition would have become worse.
"Brother Jeremy, you didn't disappoint us," Daniel Stone said with a smile.
"Our STRIKER Department representative is the strongest representative," Betsy Lowe added.
Hearing that, the faces of other students changed. They were not from the Attack Department, yet they felt uneasy. It's because their representative showed no sign of challenging Jeremy Night.
Only the Elemental and Control Department students looked confident. But they didn't know the inner thoughts of May Lindsey and Victor Scott.
"Jeremy, you have proved the reputation of the STRIKER profession once again," Instructor Jacob said with a smile.
Hearing that, Jeremy showed no big response but thanked everyone for their support.
"Kid, you didn't disappoint us. What about your duel against S-Graders?"
"Are you willing to fight against them?" Old Man Derek asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy didn't know what to say. He then thought about it before replying, "If they are ready, then I'm game."
Cheers!
Hearing that, some of the students started cheering in front of their own department instructors. Their representatives had been silent so far, so they didn't have the face to stay longer.
After saying something to Old man Derek and Instructor Jacob, they began leaving one after another.
"You are a good kid. At your current level, you can fight against 2nd years," Old Man Derek said.
"I'm not that strong yet," Jeremy immediately refuted.
He wanted a quiet life. If he started making enemies everywhere, it wouldn't be good for him.
Then he decided to leave. Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone joined as well.
