Jeremy felt a sense of crisis. The feeling of threat was greater than before. It was higher than the Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts. His eyes flashed with seriousness.

A huge snake head appeared out of the shadows with a long, elongated body. The size of the snake beast was larger than the previous one.

Its size was bigger than the previous two Tier-2 Dark Ground Snake Beasts combined. When its entire body came out of the shadows, its snake pupils gazed at the human prey.

Jeremy gripped the katana tightly and began to channel the Starlight energy. He was getting a more sinister vibe than that of the Tier-3 Bloodthirsty Salamander and Black Wolf.

The starlight covered the katana blade within seconds. Jeremy continued to observe the snake beast in front of him. Fighting against the Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts in this underground tunnel was difficult.

But he had no other choice. Jeremy planned to apply the same tactics again.

Swoosh!

The huge snake beast sprinted forward. In the blink of an eye, it reached the human prey. Then it lowered its head to bite. The massive snake head opened its mouth wide. It could swallow two or three adult humans in one bite.

Jeremy brought the katana forward to block.

Boom!

The snake beast’s sheer force pushed him backwards. The Starlight blade managed to leave a cut in its mouth.

Hiss!

The snake beast hissed loudly as it felt massive pain from the injury. Its pupils enlarged the next second. It burst out with great speed the next moment.

Jeremy hurriedly raised the katana blade to block.

Boom!

This time, the force behind the snake beast was powerful. It made him lose his balance. He cleverly retreated backwards to widen the gap.

"This is not an average Tier-3 Beast. Maybe it’s already at Mid or Peak Stage," Jeremy muttered to himself in a grave tone.

This was going to be the toughest challenge for him.

Jeremy ran the starlight energy through his body. The katana blade flickered with silver color. While looking at the snake beast, he was already formulating a plan in his mind.

He didn’t know whether his starlight energy could crack the defense of this beast. But he didn’t want to take any chances. He had decided to target the eyes. If the snake beast was blind, then he could kill it with ease.

The strength and speed of the Tier-3 Snake Beast were stronger than his. Instead of charging against it, he waited for the snake beast to attack him again.

Swoosh!

The pupils of the snake were looking at him. The next second, its gigantic body rushed towards him. Jeremy’s heart began to race. If he missed this opportunity, he could suffer serious injury.

His senses heightened. The talent of the Supreme Combat Body started to play. He could observe the movements of the beast clearly when it was just a few steps away from him.

Jeremy moved away from the spot to attack. His gaze was fixed on its left pupil. When the snake beast lowered its head to bite.

Stab!

He thrust the katana blade right into its eye. The blade went in easily. The starlight energy further damaged its nerves, causing the snake beast to hiss in pain.

The snake beast rotated its body, making it difficult for him to target. He didn’t want to let go of this opportunity. If he could get the decapitated head of the Tier-3 Beast.

Then the Striker Department would get all the attention.

Swoosh!

Jeremy felt adrenaline rushing. He swiftly moved away again to target the weak point. Looking at the rolling snake beast, his gaze fixed on its neck, the area that connected its head to the spine.

He thought the starlight energy’s power would be enough to cause great damage.

Stab!

When he found the right opportunity, he plunged the katana forward to stab. The starlight energy-filled blade penetrated the neck area.

Pfff!

After doing that, he quickly withdrew the katana to stab again. The snake beast rolled over its body in pain, avoiding the attack.

Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He charged forward to attack again.

About 10 minutes later,

A decapitated head of the Tier-3 Ground Snake Beast rolled over the ground. Jeremy was gasping for breath while the huge snake beast remained lying on the ground.

Jeremy’s eyes flashed with relief. It took him a few calculated moves to cut the snake’s head completely. In the end, the result was satisfying.

Jeremy collected the decapitated head into the storage ring. The value of a single Tier-3 Beast head was high compared to the Tier-2 decapitated head.

Just as he decided to leave, his gaze fell on the remains. Such a Tier-3 Beast had been lurking in the tunnel. It could have posed a greater threat if it had been left alone.

The Snake Beast was already at Mid or Peak Stage. It could have reached Tier-4. Thinking about it, he felt glad that he didn’t come across a Tier-4 Beast.

He pushed down these thoughts before starting to climb back to the surface. He didn’t want to spend any more time in the underground tunnel.

Fighting against one Tier-3 Corrupted Beast had resulted in the depletion of his Starlight energy. Next, he had to recover again before continuing the hunt.

If he decided to stay here longer, there could be a risk. Who knew there could be another Tier-3 Beast lurking inside the tunnel? He didn’t want to risk his life.

After coming back to the surface, he closed the sewer tunnel. Then he looked around the place before entering the abandoned store.

He investigated the place. After a few minutes, he sat cross-legged in the corner and began to recover his starlight energy.

For recovery, he couldn’t do anything. He could only rely on the unknown lifeline beast egg. If there was a breathing method to practice, he could assist the lifeline beast in absorbing more natural energy from the surroundings.

But he had no time to prepare earlier because he had wanted to stay low-key. Once the competition was over, he would ask Instructor Jacob for a suitable breathing method.
