STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 766: Getting the mission
Red Moon Chamber
Jeremy returned to the room and lay down on the bed. He started recalling the events in his mind.
He absolutely could not let the Darkshade Organization gain any advantage. He still didn’t know who was behind the attack.
At that time, the killers had come after his life. Someone must have ordered them to kill him. The only force he had offended openly was the Hill Family.
Other than that, he had been in contact with Catherine Rosewood. Because of that, he had offended some of her friends. But it had been some time since he had crossed paths with them.
So, he didn’t suspect them. However, he strongly thought it could be the work of the Hill Family. He had ruined the plans of Tyson Hill that day.
He wouldn’t be surprised if Tyson Hill held a grudge against him. These were his thoughts. He could only confirm the truth from the mouth of the killer.
For that, he needed to enter the wilderness again.
...
The Following Day
After getting out of bed, he followed his daily schedule and continued his routine.
Later, he started his practice. He started with the "Blade One" move this time.
He wanted to get familiar with the mysterious power. His movements grew quicker as he repeated the practice.
Time passed.
He practiced for more than one hour, but he couldn’t continue after that. He was disturbed by thoughts of the Darkshade Organization.
He wanted to solve this matter as soon as possible. He made a decision to enter the wilderness the next day.
In the meantime, he decided to practice.
As time passed, he switched to the Star Fist move. Like the previous day, he tempered the path using the Star Fist move.
He was trying to gain control over the sudden surge in strength while using the move.
That Evening
Jeremy Night went to the office room to see Head Harold again. Head Harold had told him to inform him of his decision to enter the wilderness.
When he got there, he asked for permission to enter. Then, he walked into the room.
He saw Head Harold sitting behind the desk.
"Kid, what happened?" Harold asked. Then, he asked him to sit down.
Jeremy sat on the chair and looked at him.
"It’s been some time since I entered the wilderness. I’m going to enter tomorrow. I came here to inform you," Jeremy said to him.
Harold was taken aback. He had just spoken with the kid yesterday. He had thought the kid would be scared, but he didn’t expect to hear such an answer.
"Are you not afraid?" Harold asked.
"I’m afraid. But I have trust in the life-saving item," Jeremy replied.
Harold understood. He had forgotten about that.
"Alright, come next morning. The life-saving item will be ready," Harold said.
"Have you selected any mission?" he added.
"No, I’m planning to go to the association," Jeremy replied.
Harold fell into deep thought. He knew the organization didn’t have that many missions.
But he decided to prepare one for Jeremy Night.
"I’ll prepare a mission for you," he added.
Hearing that, Jeremy thanked him before leaving the room. Then, he quickly went back to his room.
Harold didn’t stop the conversation there. He informed Stephen about Jeremy Night’s mission. He ordered Stephen to increase manpower.
If people from the Darkshade Organization decided to attack Jeremy Night inside the city, then they should catch the culprit.
Stephen decided to act. Of course, with such an important conversation, he couldn’t hide it from Head Neil Moon. He told him as well.
Head Neil Moon was not surprised by Jeremy Night’s mission. He thought of the kid who was not afraid of the Beast Invasion.
How could he be deterred by a criminal organization?
"You are right about the kid. He was not afraid," Head Harold replied.
"Though the kid can fight across Tiers, we still should be careful. Don’t let him enter the deepest part of the wilderness."
"Just give him a mission close to the inner area," Head Neil Moon said.
Head Harold agreed with that.
...
The Next Day
Jeremy Night came to the head office again. He saw Head Harold, who was going through the missions as usual.
"Kid, sit down. Take a look at the mission." After saying that, he pushed the device toward him.
Jeremy picked up the device and saw the mission details. He was surprised. He looked towards Head Harold, who didn’t have any change in expression.
He was shocked. He shifted his attention back to the device and read the mission.
[Mission: Find the corpses of fallen members who died during the recent Beast Tide. If possible, collect their belongings at least.]
"Don’t be surprised. The family members are demanding their corpses. They want their belongings, at least."
"I have already sent a few teams earlier. Since you are going to the wilderness to check your training, you could try to complete the mission in the meantime," Harold said.
Jeremy wasn’t surprised. According to them, he was going to train in the wilderness, but he was actually going to seek the members of the Darkshade Organization.
"Okay," Jeremy replied.
He decided to do the mission because he wanted to help the members. He thought their corpses should not be left to rot in the wilderness.
Harold then took out a few silver-colored balls from the storage ring. He placed the ten balls on the table.
He said, "These are small explosives which could hurt a Tier-6 Beast Tamer or beast. As long as you don’t come across Tier-7 and above threats, you will be safe."
"The explosives are easy to use. You just have to press the button," Harold added.
Jeremy nodded his head before taking the things into his storage bracelet.
He had known about the explosives before, but they are expensive. You can’t buy them without a proper identity. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
He thought Head Harold used his name to buy these explosives for him, so he was grateful. He had been confident about dealing with the criminals.
Now, he was even more confident.
"Do you need anything else?" Harold asked.
"No, I have everything. I’m leaving right now," Jeremy said to him.
Then, he stood up to leave. Once he was gone from the place, Harold informed Stephen. He wanted to know whether anyone would follow the kid to the wilderness from the city.
