Chapter 772: Tier-6 Gorilla

5th Zone, Wilderness

That evening, Jeremy made the return journey. He collected more than 50 remains, but only a few of them were completely intact.

Jeremy forgot about the Dakeshade member; he was going to the city now. But not everything went as he had planned.

Not long after, he came across suspicious individuals. The aura coming from these Beast Tamers was strong.

Jeremy paused his footsteps and began to observe them. He was right; he felt a Tier-4 presence or above from them. He decided to get closer to look at their faces.

As he approached, he used his eye power to zoom in. He saw their faces one after another, and his heart raced like a storm.

These Beast Tamers were none other than the members of the Dakeshade. He had been looking everywhere for them earlier.

Just when he had decided to give up, he came across them. He was already 90% certain that the Hill Family was the reason behind the "hire and kill" mission.

They had already crossed the line by sending people to stalk him. He hadn’t forgotten the three middle-aged men who came to the library that day.

He recovered his thoughts and shifted his attention back to the group. He then saw one more person whom everyone was listening to. When he saw the face of that person, he knew exactly who it was.

"Jeffery," he uttered.

Jeffery was the mastermind behind all the stalking. Though it was a mission given by the organization, he had gone too far.

Jeremy took his handgun out of its case. He started covering the ammunition with starlight threads, one after another.

He needed to get even closer so they would be within his shooting range. The next second, he moved discreetly without making any noise.

A few minutes later, he reached his firing range. If he tried to get any closer, it could alert them; the lifeline beasts inside their mental zones could feel the presence of others.

Jeremy used his zoomed vision again and locked onto his targets one by one. Except for their leader, he fixed his aim on five people. The next second, he pulled the trigger.

Bang! Bang!

He fired shots in quick succession.

Swoosh!

The white bullets traveled in straight lines. Tier-5 Beast Tamers were stronger than Tier-4 ones; some reacted faster, while others were too late.

In an instant, the bullets tore through the bodies of three people.

Pfff!

The other two bullets pierced through the backs of their heads. The remaining three suffered heavy injuries as well. All five of them collapsed onto the ground.

Starlight power could hurt a Tier-6 beast, so these Tier-5 Beast Tamers didn’t have the body strength to stop it.

"What’s going on?" Jeffery uttered in shock.

He saw the five members on the ground, dead or injured. The next second, he sensed something and looked in the direction ahead.

He knew someone had shot from there, but as far as he knew, ordinary firearms were of no use in this mutation age.

A look of understanding dawned on him. He realized it must be someone’s Beast Taming Talent.

Boom!

He summoned his lifeline beast. A gorilla beast over five meters tall appeared on the ground.

Roar!

The beast started thumping its chest upon landing.

"There is someone hiding ahead. Find that b@stard and drag him here," Jeffery said in a cold tone.

He had confidence in his lifeline beast. What’s more, the attacker hadn’t shot at him, which suggested the attacker lacked confidence.

Roar!

The gorilla roared again. The force of the wind released from its mouth swept across the clearing.

Boom!

The next second, it started running toward the target with heavy steps. Each time the gorilla took a step, the ground shook.

Even Jeffery felt the tremors. He liked letting his lifeline beast run loose.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night was stunned to see the 15-foot-tall beast. He hadn’t expected such a massive gorilla to be the enemy’s lifeline beast.

However, he thought this gorilla was the perfect target to test his Star Fist move.

He put the handgun back in its case and clenched his right fist.

"Star Fist."

He began to execute the move. Starlight threads passed through specific routes in his body. Jeremy could feel the tempering of the passages as the threads surged through him.

Swoosh!

In a flash, the giant gorilla found him. The beast looked at him before letting out another powerful roar.

Roar!

Jeremy felt the force of the wind, but he didn’t react. He felt the starlight threads finally reaching his right arm. In an instant, the starlight covered his fist.

Jeremy felt a surging strength in his hand; he wanted to smash something badly, and the gorilla appeared to be the right target.

Swoosh!

The next second, he charged toward the gorilla.

The Tier-6 gorilla was taken aback. It hadn’t expected the human Beast Tamer to show himself. At the same time, Jeffery saw him. When he recognized the face, he was shocked to the core.

"He is the target," Jeffery muttered. His eyes turned cold. "Kill him!" he ordered his beast.

Roar!

The gorilla received the command. It raised its hand to punch, a strike filled with immense force. The wind generated by the movement swept away everything in the surroundings.

Seeing that, Jeremy moved his fist for a counterattack.

Boom!

The size of the gorilla’s right fist was bigger than Jeremy’s entire body, yet he was confident he could counter it.

If it were his previous self, he would have run away from a Tier-6 beast.

Jeffery watched the scene and found it funny. He didn’t know why the target was trying to use a fist against a gorilla.

He could already imagine what would happen next: the target being crushed under the gorilla’s weight.

In a flash, the two fists came into contact.

Boom!

A deafening noise occurred. Jeremy Night felt an overbearing power trying to crush his hand, but he was able to withstand it because of the Star Fist.
