Strongest Dimensional Necromancer-Chapter 64: Satisfying
The space above Riven and Spartacus. The whole space that covered the platform crumbled like glass and with a sound of howling wind a great suction force appeared and began to suck everything in.
A stone block that had been knocked loose by the platform was the first to get sucked in and what appeared on the other side were pieces of the stone.
It was as if countless swords were inside, constantly cutting and grinding.
Riven saw that and decided that he didn’t want to go in there. With a subtle command Spartacus came around and stood behind him. In the loud howling noise Riven shouted, "Don’t get sucked in as well, you bastard!"
He followed his command with a blast of mental images through the connection.
Spartacus seemed to feel disappointed as he crouched behind Riven. His legs dug into the ground, then his body followed, his hands gripped the ground as if he was reaching into a pile of mud.
And yet the suction force increased.
Riven was slammed into Spartacus’s chest. Even breathing was difficult, but one thing Riven knew was that Jasper would run out of aura far before he did. "So if I can just hold on!" he shouted.
Jasper must have been thinking the same thing because he suddenly appeared above their heads as if teleported. They couldn’t see him but they felt his presence.
A punch slammed into Spartacus’s head so hard that his head snapped back. Riven could hear the smugness in Jasper’s voice as he began talking somewhere in that storm he created. "You actually forced me to use my strongest attack. A combination of three techniques.
"Enhance, Create, and Command. I must say, you are strong, Riven, but you are still from the dirt. A pig just like your family. I’ll send your body to them, don’t worry."
Riven tried his best not to let the anger get to him, but it was near impossible. But he had the instincts not to rush out there. He wasn’t stupid. He knew Jasper was trying to bait him out so that it would be easy to get to him.
"This is why I hate necromancers and summoners. To get to you one has to first cleave through layers of your fleshy protection and get to you. I hate you guys because you are cowards. You have to use others’ power to protect yourself."
"What’s the difference between necromancers and sword users? They use their tools to make themselves stronger. Why do we use relics and armors? It’s all the same! You might as well be fighting with your fist without even using your technique!" Riven shouted.
He wanted to keep Jasper talking so he could know and keep his location.
But when Jasper spoke next, the words were scattered all around, the voices coming from all directions. "A coward is a coward! Why are you hiding behind your summon then?"
Just as he said that, his presence appeared around them again, and this time it was two punches on Spartacus. The last hit was so strong his hand slipped from the stone platform before he gripped it again.
Riven gritted his teeth. "...this bully is smart... he’s intentionally keeping his location a secret... and he must be using some kind of technique to appear and disappear like that... he didn’t have to kill us... just create a way for us to come out of this and the suction will do the rest!..."
"...even if I have this much aura left... if Spartacus couldn’t hold on to anything strong, then it’s all for nothing..."
Suddenly Riven froze. Why did they have to hide when they could directly attack? He remembered the shape of the technique. The suction force created by the breaking of space appeared like fractured glass.
"A sharp," Riven smiled.
Then he shaped his sword once again and jammed it into the ground. He sent his intention to Spartacus. Then they both waited.
It didn’t take long for Jasper to appear again and send his punches. Four this time, instantaneously. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Two of Spartacus’s hands were knocked loose and he turned his angry eyes to Jasper. Then he jumped at the man. Jasper laughed and took a single step back... and he disappeared.
But Spartacus was left hanging in midair. The force from above took him and yanked him up.
Jasper appeared and loomed above Riven. He was smiling, victorious. "I win."
He raised his hand that was covered in distorted air, ready to smash Riven’s head.
But suddenly Riven raised his head, a casual smile on his face. "No, I win."
His purple eyes glowed as his built-up power flowed out. Not through him but through his connection to Spartacus. Up above, Spartacus had reached the place where he was about to enter the fractured glass that seemed to contain countless invisible swords.
Then he drew his sword. In the midst of the dust and storm a ferocious red energy bloomed. The sword of anger that twisted and warped suddenly slashed forward.
A sword arc of half moon formed and immediately cut the fractured glass that spanned the entire platform into two. The space froze and then disappeared in an instant as if it was never there or it was wiped clean.
Below, Jasper was staring at it with his mouth wide open.
"Hello," Riven said.
Jasper looked down just in time to see Riven draw his sword from the ground and slash him into two at the middle. He would have been cut into two if the shield didn’t appear, showing a red band that warped around him, indicating how severe Riven’s attack was.
Spartacus reached the ground with a thud. Riven pointed at Jasper. "Give it your all."
Already Jasper was covered in a thin translucent shield, but still Spartacus clenched his hands into a fist and then he did a jumping punch.
Bam!
Straight at Jasper’s face. Since the shield was already focused on Jasper’s abdomen and the fight was supposedly finished, his face wasn’t that reinforced.
The punch caught everyone unaware. The shield snapped under the punch and Jasper’s face was smashed in. Two teeth flew out instantly and his nose was completely twisted to the side. He was lifted up and pulled off the platform, passing out immediately.
"That was for insulting my family," Riven smiled. "Shit, that was satisfying. I should do it often."
