Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 28: Leaving for Home

Gina was seated quietly at the side to give Mira and Jason space to talk, and she was surprised when Mira suddenly spoke up.

"You both should go home. It's getting late and I don't want you spending your entire day here."

Jason frowned in confusion and spoke up quickly. Did his mom think he didn't want to be here?

"Mom, you're not feeling well, and I'm not leaving until I know you're okay."

Mira frowned at Jason in disappointment and Jason raised a brow in surprise. What the hell? He could tell that he had done something wrong in his mother's eyes, but for the life of him, he couldn't tell what it was.

Mira couldn't believe her son was so dense!

Mira had been awake all this time and had overheard what Jason and Gina said to each other earlier. She didn't want to interrupt them, so she pretended like she was asleep, and now she was trying to make them leave so they could talk things out properly.

"Do I look like I'm not okay? I know you're fine, and that's more than enough for me. You need to leave and get some rest. You both have been through a lot today and I don't want you sleeping on these chairs. Come on, leave. I'll be fine."

Mira started to push the two of them out. Mira didn't have enough strength to even make them move, but they were both walking slowly under her guidance.

"Mira, are you sure?"

Gina spoke up with a small frown on her face. She was also worried like Jason, but a part of her was slightly glad that they could leave.

Mira assured them that she was perfectly fine! She had only fallen down, and she would be at a hundred percent once she got something to eat. Jason finally sighed and nodded. He leaned down and gave his mother a kiss on the forehead before he promised her he'd come to see her tomorrow.

Mira smiled as she watched them go and then sighed. Her children were growing up so fast and she knew that it wouldn't be long before Jason went somewhere she couldn't follow him—just like his older sister.

Ring~! Ring~! Ring~!

Mira was surprised when she suddenly heard her phone ringing, and she turned to see who it was. The number was unknown, and she frowned before picking it up.

"Hello."

[Hello... mom...]

Mira felt her eyes widen in shock once she heard the voice on the other end and she sat up quickly!

Outside the hospital room, Gina and Jason walked toward the elevator calmly. Jason had a hand in his pocket and he felt a smile growing on his face when he felt Gina intertwining her hands with his other one.

She pulled herself close to him and hugged the hand, and Jason squeezed her hand gently as they entered the elevator.

"You know there're going to be hundreds of people out there, right?"

Gina spoke up when they entered the elevator and Jason nodded with a hum. He already had an idea of how things would be when he was speaking with Liam. The reporters and guild representatives weren't going to leave until they got a glimpse of him.

Jason spoke up sarcastically.

"At least you can finally put all that 'natural beauty' to some use. You can distract them so I can sneak away."

Gina hit Jason on the shoulder and laughed before she put her hand on his cheek to pull him down for a kiss. Jason hummed into Gina's mouth, and when he brought his tongue out and ran it across Gina's lip for a deeper kiss, Gina jolted a little and pulled back.

Jason raised a brow in surprise before his brow furrowed and a knowing smile appeared on his face.

"Wait... Am I the first person you've kissed?"

Gina's eyes widened and she immediately turned away while putting some hair behind her ear.

"W-What are you asking me? You really don't have any delicacy, you damn bastard."

Jason felt a chuckle bubble up from his chest and he pulled Gina toward him and kissed her again. Gina smiled into the kiss and when Jason ran his tongue across her mouth again, she didn't pull back since she was now used to it.

They separated a few seconds later with a grin dancing on Jason's lips and he appreciated Gina's glazed-over eyes. She really had no idea what she could do to a man with a look like that.

"For how confident you always act, you're quite innocent. I like that."

Jason spoke up with a smile and Gina frowned.

"And whose fault do you think that is? Do you know how long I've liked you? I always sleep in your house, and yet you didn't even touch me once!"

Jason raised his brow in surprise and Gina sighed tiredly! Of course, Jason wouldn't know what she was doing! Does he think she was the sort of person to just sleep in any man's house!? She was always staying there hoping that he would eventually get a hint and touch her! But he was impossible to tempt!

Gina had liked Jason for more than five years, but she didn't want to be the one to come onto him because she was the older one. She didn't want it to look like she was grooming him into liking her! But after more than four years, she grew frustrated and she had been going to Jason's house and giving him hints for the past year! After even that didn't work, she planned on just jumping Jason tonight while they were drinking!

'There has to be some god of love ruining all my plans! This isn't normal.'

Gina cried out internally. If not for everything that happened, then things would have gone exactly how Gina planned tonight! But something always came up and ruined her plans.

Jason hummed.

"So that's why you were always wearing those mini shorts? And here I thought you were just shameless."

Gina hit Jason again and Jason laughed at her red face.

The elevator dinged and opened onto the ground floor, and Jason took Gina's hand as they walked out into the brightly lit hall. There weren't that many people inside the hospital and only a few patients and doctors were walking around. But at the door, Jason could see five men wearing sharp-looking suits. They had an earpiece in their left ears and they wore sunglasses even though they were indoors.

Jason watched as one of them walked up to him and extended his hand.

"Mr. Jason Marc. I'm with the SMD. Mr. Liam told us to ensure you go home without incident, so you can count on us."

Jason raised a brow in surprise. Why would Liam send guards? Did he think Jason was going to go around beating people up or something?

The guard could see the confusion on Jason's face and he explained.

"We aren't here to protect the people from you, sir. It's the other way around. Please come along, you'll understand when we get outside."

Jason nodded and followed the guard calmly. He gave nods to the other four guards that were at the door and then the guard opened the hospital door.
