Gina looked to the side as Stella cut off the arm of one of the prisoners who had been trying to attack from their blind spot, and Stella stabbed the man through the stomach before turning to Gina and speaking.

"He’s too fast. What should we do?"

Gina felt irritation bubbling up from deep in her heart when she heard this from Stella! Was Stella really asking her that question right now? Gina couldn’t believe this shit! Gina knew for a fact that Stella was holding back right now. Not only was Stella intentionally slowing down her own speed in this battle, but Stella was also making sure not to go very far from Gina to make sure she was always there to watch Gina’s back.

"What the hell do you think you’re doing right now, Stella? Are you actually trying to patronize me by staying close to me all the time? Do you think I’m some damsel that needs your fucking protection?"

Gina growled this out in anger, and Stella’s face morphed into a look of shock when she heard it. For a second, Stella looked slightly guilty, and she looked away from Gina’s angry face, but that didn’t last long as Stella eventually raised her head and let out a sigh.

"I’m sorry if you feel that way, your highness, but his majesty, the prince, asked me to protect you –"

"His name is Jason! Call him Jason for crying out loud! And I am a warrior! I can fight just fine, and I can protect myself. If you see an opening to kill an enemy, then you shouldn’t hesitate to take it! You’ve let Destro go more than ten times already because you didn’t want to leave me behind! What is the meaning of this!?"

Gina turned as Stella suddenly flashed forward and lashed out with an attack that killed an enemy behind her, and Gina frowned as Stella spoke.

"I’m sorry if you feel that way, your highness. But I am a servant to my prince before I am a warrior or a friend to you. I understand that you are more than capable of caring for yourself. But you are no longer only caring for yourself. That child in your belly is Avaran Royalty, and we cannot take any chances that would endanger it. I will remain by your side and protect you because that is what his majesty has asked me to do, and I will not prioritize capturing an enemy over protecting you and that baby."

Gina clicked her tongue in annoyance when she heard all of this. She should have known that Jason would have something to do with this! Jason had always been overprotective of Gina, and Gina could tell that his overprotectiveness only grew after she told him that she was pregnant. Gina even noticed that he put multiple Bishop and Rook Rank subordinates as guards all around her. But this was taking it too far! It was completely different if the guards were subordinates who could hide in the shadows, but Gina didn’t like the fact that Stella was acting like she was some handicap!

Gina glanced over at the black ball in the sky, which held the [Land of Lost Shadows], and she frowned as she thought about going up there to talk to Jason! But she knew that it would be a bad idea to interrupt Jason’s fight just because she was annoyed, so she decided that she would talk to Jason about this after the fight! Gina turned around, and she quickly spotted Destro a far distance away. There were multiple prisoners blocking Gina’s path, but Gina quickly called out for the subordinates under her command!

CAW!

The sky king released a loud cry as it charged out from the shadows, and it was followed by multiple Rook Rank I Falcons and Rook Rank III dragons that quickly unleashed their attacks on the prisoners! That distraction gave Gina the space to blast forward, and Stella quickly followed behind Gina as they chased Destro down! Destro turned around with a frown when he noticed the enemies approaching, and Destro turned around sharply with his arms spread out! A bright blue light glowed from his chest, and in the next moment, he unleashed a blast of pure energy straight at Gina!

SLASH!

Stella appeared from the side before the attack could reach Gina, and she unleashed an arc of pure red light that cut the attack in half! Gina circled around Stella without bothering to slow down, and she sent mana through her arms as a massive gale wind began to blow all around her! Gina activated the attack boosting rune on her right arm, and more than a hundred wind arrows suddenly formed in the sky and began to shoot towards Destro! Destro quickly took off to try to avoid the attacks, but Gina took control of all the arrows, and she changed their course and made them follow Destro! Destro cursed as he felt the immense power behind those arrows! He knew that if they hit him, then he would suffer serious injuries! So Destro decided that he would unleash another attack from the cannon blaster in his chest to neutralize the arrows, and he turned around to do just that, but this was exactly what Gina had been hoping for! Gina already knew that Destro could neutralize her attacks, so she never intended for them to hit him!

The [Pyromatic Combustion] rune on Gina’s left hand quickly came to life, and the moment the arrows were close enough, they exploded!

KA-BOOMM!!

"ARRGHH!"

Destro screamed as the intense flames washed over him, and the attack served as enough of a distraction to prevent him from seeing the attack coming from his blind spot!

[Horizontal Thrust]!

Evon appeared from the side with her spear and drove her weapon forward with a sadistic smile on her face! The attack flew true, and Destro yelled in pain as the spear stabbed straight through his shoulder! Evon twisted her spear and pulled it back roughly to pull Destro into Gina’s path, and Gina unleashed a perfect wind blade that cut through Destro’s neck! Gina let out a sigh as the battlefield grew quiet, and she turned and watched as Destro’s lifeless body fell to the ground. Stella was still following Gina around and protecting her from any random attacker that tried to get close, and Gina tried her best to ignore Stella as she activated the Legion skill.

[Remote Resurrection] has been activated.

Doon!

Destro’s soul pulled itself free from its body, and Gina smiled as she enjoyed the achievement. Gina knew that killing Destro would boost her hierarchy even more, and she was already looking forward to when she would reach a hundred percent in her progression hierarchy so she could finally enter the realm of the TITAN Ranks as well!

Crunch!

Gina glanced to the side with an annoyed expression on her face when she heard the sound of someone biting into something hard, and she saw Stella with a Mana crystal in her hand. Stella gave Gina a sheepish smile when she saw the annoyed look Gina was giving her, and she tried to offer some of the mana crystal to Gina, but Gina just rolled her eyes before turning away. Gina was trying really hard to be annoyed at Stella, but she really couldn’t get angry at her just for following orders and trying to protect her.

’I’ll have to talk to Jason about this. I don’t like how Stella is shadowing me like I can’t take care of myself. It makes me feel inadequate.’
